The carer was utterly selfless, caring for my mother who was COVID positive. She agreed to live-in and acted as a friend as well as a carer to my mother who arrived from the care home much sicker than any of us could have imagined; my mother was also neglected and frightened. The carer took on 'over and above' - staying up 2 nights and holding my mother's hand. She supported me and my family and gave me strength as I watched my mother pass, knowing she was there. She said she would look after mum so she did not have a change of carer. We will never forget the care, warmth and kindness the carer showed my mum and my family. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. It was a privilege to support your mother and enable her to return home to be with her family. We’re also pleased we were able to give some comfort to you and yours during this difficult time.
Whenever contact has been made with staff our requests have always been dealt with as expeditiously as possible.
My mother was recently taken out by staff for a bit of pampering as a Birthday surprise which she thoroughly enjoyed.
The carers who attend to my mother are all polite and efficient.
My mum is so very fond of all of them and we are very lucky to have such an amazing team looking after her. I can’t thank you all enough.
The Carers provide good care for my mum and they have built up a good relationship with her. So much so that when they were unable to provide her half an hour care package, she was keen to find a way around it so she could keep the same agency.
My parents are happy with the cleaning service provided. My dad says 'we just let her get on with it, we don't know what she is doing'. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but I wonder if now and again they could be informed, especially when something out of the ordinary needs doing that the cleaner has identified.
However, saying that, we have no reasons to be dissatisfied with the service provided.

Meet the Team (4)
I am a dedicated strategic manager with a broad scope of experience in different social care sectors, including learning disabilities, mental health, & dementia care.
Having worked in care for 17 years, I have worked in varied management roles for 13 years and have a vast skill set and proven ability to empower staff teams to deliver good quality care, focusing on independent living.
I have chosen a career in social care because I know from personal experience how important it is that people get the best possible care whilst maintaining their independence and dignity. Whatever a person needs or disability, everyone has the ability to achieve in life, and this job is about empowering those people.
I have worked in care for over 30 years and have been in management for over 10years. I am passionate about all areas of care delivery and how we can improve the quality for those individuals we support and care for. My experience includes residential, nursing, community and complex care. As the Service Manager for Social Care in Action, myself and the team work tirelessly to enhance bespoke person-centred care packages while supporting social and community engagement so individuals can live their best possible lives.
With over 25 years of experience in the care sector, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals in various roles and settings. My journey has given me extensive knowledge and expertise, reinforcing my commitment to compassionate and effective care. Social care and charitable organisations have had the most profound impact on my passion for person-centred support and community service.
Throughout my career, I have worked diligently to achieve professional growth and have learned invaluable lessons from the people I support and collaborate with. These experiences have enriched my understanding of care, strengthened my leadership abilities, and reaffirmed my dedication to making a meaningful difference. I am eager to continue applying my skills and empathy to contribute positively to the field, ensuring high-quality care that upholds dignity, respect, and empowerment for those in need.
In 2001, I made a significant career transition from Finance to Social Care—a decision that has shaped the past two decades of my professional journey. I have dedicated over 20 years to supporting children and adults with additional needs in various settings. Through consistent growth, I have advanced from junior care staff member to leadership roles, including Team Leader, Deputy Head of Care, and Registered Manager since 2007.
Leading a team committed to fostering education, independence, and well-being has been both fulfilling and rewarding. The impact we make, no matter how small, reinforces my passion for this field and fuels my commitment to excellence in social care.
