The first contact with Totally Living Care was in August 2023 for carers to administer eye drops to my elderly mother following her surgery to remove both eye cataracts. The carers were professional, ensuring she recovered well from the surgery. Following my mother having suffered a stroke in November 2023, and four weeks in hospital, TLC were able to provide live-in care for my mother ready for her hospital discharge. The care provided was quite good but a minor incident was highlighted with the Care Manager who dealt with the situation expeditely. Her current live-in carer is excellent and the two cover live-in carer's likewise. All professional with a good standard of care, treating my mother with warmth, respect, dignity and empathy and me as her daughter. This also applies to the Care Manager who keeps in contact with me when appropriate. I would recommend TLC to anyone in a similar situation, as it was to me by another service user. Thank you.
There were obviously a few minor glitches, to begin with until the care package settled down, but the care provided to my aunt has overall been excellent with the agency always trying to send carers whom my aunt particularly felt comfortable with and to adjust the care package as required.
We have been very impressed by the standard of care, their engagement with the service user’s family and the professionalism of the agency. Thank you!
Totatally Living Care have and are fantastic at providing care to my elderly mother. They have been extremely flexible during times of hospitalisation and have been very approachable and proactive when care has been required to restart at short notice. Mum has settled very well with TLC and realises without their help she would not be able to remain at home.
Thank you for your lovely response, it is a pleasure to care for Mum and it is always a pleasure to speak to you.
Nothing was too much effort and communication was easy and simple.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. I am so pleased that you have had a good experience of our carers and care that we provide. We are constantly looking outside of the box to make things even better for our clients. Regards.
The staff are caring and do the jobs required. Always polite and supportive. A very good group of helpers. I find the frequent changes in staff unsettling the new ones need help in finding/doing things - though the difficulties in finding enough capable staff to cover all work is understood. Not perfect but very good service.
Thank you for your honest appraisal of our services, we do strive to get care right and are aware that sometimes this doesn't work. We are putting in a lot more supervision and carer checks so that we can raise the bar. Kind regards
My relative truly appreciated the staff visits and was pleased that the care manager visited him at intervals to check what was needed.
Sorry we have not responded before but thank you so much for your honest review. We have just started a new program to make things better for our clients and recording. Could you please inform me who can be identified on a personal email as not being 5 star? and where our caring could have been better. Thank you again for your comments.
Mum was reluctant to have any care at first as she said she could manage! She changed her mind completely when we got Totally Living Care on board and was happy to carry on and has never looked back. All the carers are good with her and understand her needs. The management and office staff are always happy to help with any queries we have.

Dad has just passed away and up to his last day, he was cared for by Totally Living Care carers. He loved their visits and was always so happy to tell me they'd visited every day and how kind they were. He loved chatting with them and I am so grateful for their compassion and kindness.
Thank you for your review it was heartfelt. We hope to get it right with our clients and it looks like we did with your father. Our carers loved attending to his needs/chatting with him, I am glad that we had the honour of helping him through to his end day. Kind regards.
A very professional company. Staff act with compassion and integrity with my mum. They care and understand day-to-day needs. Would recommend this company to anyone that was looking for care and help in their own home.
Sorry it has taken so long to respond to your review. We thank you for such a lovely review. We do strive to get care right and hope the feedback can help us to determine what we can do to improve the services we offer. Thank you for the recommendation quote. Kind regards.
From day one every carer was friendly, kind and extremely caring. And very reliable at all times. We could not have got mum out of hospital without the great care and help that everyone at totally living care provided. Would highly recommend them. And our whole family would like to say a great big thank you to everyone who cared for my mum.
My father-in-law lost his wife of 67 years last October, having been her full-time carer for the last few years due to various illnesses. We were concerned loneliness would be a big problem for him and initially, we had to overcome his reluctance to have anyone else come to the property ( “I can manage, waste of time” and so on). We noticed a marked difference in his attitude after the first couple of weeks of the visits, with the negative comments ceasing and a lot of positive feedback about his carers. Being local people they know some of his old work colleagues and acquaintances and his whole attitude has brightened up. Would strongly recommend this company and its staff.
Thank you Nick for such a lovely feedback report. It is a pleasure that we have had the occasion to show him that our carers are as good as we think they are.
Total Living Care is an excellent company to use for long-term care for my mother. We have a carer who comes and stays with my mother when we are away and we do not have any issues or problems with the service that she gives. In fact, it is fair to say that she goes over and above board in every aspect of Mum's care and we are 100% happy to go away and leave Mum in her capable hands. Mum really enjoys the carer coming to stay with her and they get on very well together.
The care coordinator was extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, when my dad was taken ill and had to stay in hospital, he managed to put 24-hour care in place for my mum at very short notice, so that she could stay in her own home. The carers that looked after Mum were really good with her, and very kind and patient with her advanced dementia. They were also happy to be flexible and work around us. Great communication and we would highly recommend the company to other people.
I live over three hour's drive from my parent’s home in Salisbury, which makes the management and supervision of their respective care extremely difficult. My parents continue to live in their own home and up until 24 months ago, were completely independent and self-supporting. However, the gradual decline in their respective health has meant that they now require a more professional approach with a higher level of care assistance. As a result of this, I contacted various Health and Care companies in the Salisbury area and provided them all with a detailed requirement of what was needed in support of my aged parent’s care needs. Of all those contacted, Totally Living Care were the most proactive to the situation and quickly assimilated and assessed what was required and came up with a workable program of care and assistance. TLC are a truly professional organisation with a well-trained and dedicated Care Staff. Many have several years of experience.
Up till last August, TLC were providing at-home care for my mother 2-3 times a day. They were always reliable, friendly and professional. I was contacted promptly whenever anything happened or they had any concerns. Some of the carers definitely put themselves out to help and support my mother and I. On one occasion, a carer stayed with my mum into the evening until I could get there. The care coordinator and the office staff were also always very friendly and helpful. I really had no complaints at all.
In April, a particular incident occurred that really brought it home how good the TLC carers are. My mother had a fall in the bathroom (it transpired that she had a heart attack). The carer found her and called an ambulance. In turn, the care coordinator phoned me to let me know and I arranged for my sister to go to my mother. The carer stayed with Mum the whole of the time until my sister arrived. She was calming and reassuring to Mum. My family and I find all the TLC carers to always be very kind and helpful to Mum. Sometimes she can be very awkward and I hate to say it, rude to the lovely girls too. The staff in the office are always chasing Mum's medication and 9 times out of 10 bring it round to her flat. The care coordinator is always on the ball, knowing exactly what is happening with the clients and we are extremely grateful to have such a caring and obliging person in control of Mum's care. All the staff team are fabulous. We do not know what we would do without them.
We found TLC online when looking for care for our mother, following her stroke. We reviewed other care companies too but TLC appeared to offer more flexibility and were very cost-effective. I think one of the most important things to say is that the team are extremely approachable. There has been an occasion recently where I needed to ask them for some additional help at very short notice. The care coordinator made this happen! I cannot fault TLC at all. They are friendly, reliable, flexible and professional. I would not hesitate in recommending them.
I mostly find the staff friendly and cooperative. They are willing to assist me in cases like getting in and out of the shower.
This was our first experience of home care. During the time they provided us with assistance, we always found the staff to be professional, courteous, kind and caring. They were punctual and if the time of the visit had to be altered, office staff telephoned in time to make the necessary change. It was, however, quite a shock when we received their letter, advising they could no longer provide us with their services.
Satisfactory. I enjoy living here as kind carers look after me. I have found most carers that have helped me have been very kind and caring towards me. They are very patient with me as I cannot hurry now and always ask me if I need more help with anything before they leave. The office staff are good and obliging. Very nice flats here. I am very content with my living accommodation, comfortable, radiators good and surfaces clean. We have to take care of using the entrance to the main door, a bit rough in places. I have no complaints regarding my situation, I like where I am and they are all nice people.
Dear Lillian, it was so kind of you to do a review for us, we do learn by our mistakes and get better with these comments. I'm glad that you like our carers. Any problems - you know that we are here for you. Kind regards, Andy Rogers, Director.
