Dear Angela, It was a privilege to care for your mum during her final days. We are truly honoured that you entrusted us with her care at such a sensitive and important time. Our team is committed to providing comfort, dignity, and compassion, and it means a great deal to know that this was felt and appreciated.Sending our warmest wishes to you and your family, the SCS Team

Therefore, whilst obtaining my degree in accountancy, I began working as a carer and worked my way up within the family business. I then gained NVQ LVLs 2,3, and 4 in Health and Social Care and became the manager of SCS in 1998 and have been since. I am a horse enthusiast and love spending time with my family.
I joined SCS in 2005 as a care worker and it was hugely rewarding to enable people to maintain their independent living as much as possible. Giving people in the community the time and patience to express themselves in the way they wish to do so and at their own pace.
I feel that I can say “I am part of the furniture by now” and over the years I have gained many different skills and lifelong experiences enabling me to continuously grow in my career path. As a Compliance Officer, I am responsible for ensuring that SCS complies with its outside regulatory requirements and internal policy & procedures. I aim to make sure SCS has measures in place that are adequately managed to face any possible risks.
I am currently in my last year of completing a Counselling and Psychotherapy course which I find very interesting and empowering. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring nature with my family.
I have been part of the team now for several years, I started as part of the outreach team and enjoyed supporting our clients to be part of the wider community. I offered my services one day to help the office team and I grew my skills surrounding the planning of care and admin tasks needed to support both our clients and fellow staff members. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and traveling. Anyone who knows me will tell you I love to organize, and I love a checklist so my job provides me with the ability to use my organizational skills and meet deadlines to assist in the smooth running of the team. When I am not working, I love to spend time with my husband and our fur babies, especially our dog who loves walking adventures.
I have worked at Specialist Care Services for nearly 15 years. I started working in the community part-time when my daughter started school. The time that I spent with our clients and seeing the impact of how our care bettered their lives encouraged me to achieve several qualifications with the support of SCS, which include my NVQ LVL 2/3. SCS has provided me with opportunities to develop myself while delivering quality care and as a result, I now hold the position of HR Manager and staff trainer. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and traveling.
I began my career in Health and Social Care 33 years ago as part of an Elderly Care Team within Social Services. After qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 1998, I worked in a Hospital Rapid Response Team and in A&E to promote early discharges from the hospital. I have been part of Specialist Care Services for the past years and my main role is to assess moving and handling risks and to identify the need for equipment and adaptations to give the most optimum level of safety for carers and service users. In my spare time I enjoy watercolour painting, all types of sewing, embroidery, and gardening.
