Sussex Grange Home Care (Chichester, Selsey, Hambrook)

The Sussex Grange team of home carers has been Angels in disguise for our family. At a time when our father was in urgent need of support, the team were there within 10 minutes to carry out an assessment and started supporting our father immediately. The carers are extremely professional and treat our father with compassion and dignity. Communication is excellent, with any concerns being flagged to us immediately. The team go above and beyond to ensure that our father is looked after and cared for and importantly he looks forward to their visits and trusts them. We feel truly lucky to have found them.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone from the care team and management looking after my mother. They have been exceptional in attending to her daily needs ensuring her comfort. The caregivers are always punctual, respectful and maintain a high level of professionalism. They show genuine compassion and empathy, making my mother feel valued and cared for. Their communication is excellent, keeping me well-informed about her condition and any changes in her care plan. They go above and beyond by engaging her in activities she enjoys and ensuring she feels at home. Thanks to an amazing team of people.

We are all as a family really happy with the level and quality of care offered by the Sussex Grange Home Care team to Dad over the last 2 years, it has given us great peace of mind and has enabled Dad to continue living independently at home. The manager and deputy came out to see Mum before the care started to understand her requirements. The staff were very friendly and made sure Mum received the care and support she needed in her own home, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this service.

Sussex Grange carers and managers all provided excellent care for my late mum. They were professional at all times and always displayed respect, empathy and were very sensitive to the way they provided care. Carers were always reliable and didn't rush their visits. Carers became not only Mum's friends but also our friends as they kept us informed with any concerns regarding Mum's health or mobility needs. Carers always showed respect and remained professional, even when Mum could be cantankerous at times. They respected Mum and her home and always demonstrated professionalism for themselves and Sussex Grange as a company. Carers went the extra mile and always put Mum at the centre of her care. They were always patient and tried to encourage and enable Mum to do things for herself that she was able to do in a safe way. They kept Mum as independent as possible for as long as possible to enable her to remain living alone in her own home as per her wishes.

It is lovely that such a good relationship has been built up. This means that we want you to continue a weekly visit for assistance with a bath and we know that should we require more help in the future it will not be something we or Mum need to be worried about.

The Grange is always available to answer our queries and ready to find solutions. This makes everything easier so thank you to everyone involved in her care. It is clear that communication works well in this service.

As she became less mobile and her health issues increased, Sussex Grange were able to accommodate extra home visits and services. They are friendly, reliable and consistent. The whole team treated her with dignity and respect, often going out of their way and above and beyond to check on her and make sure she was ok. Mum feels like she has made some lovely friendships over the years. With their care and support my mum managed to remain in her own home for as long as possible. Now the time has come to move into 24-hour care near us, but I know she would recommend Sussex Grange to anyone that needs extra support or care in their home, as would I.

The Sussex Grange Home Care Team have been outstanding in their dealings with us and the twice-daily care they have supported Mum with. In particular they have gone above and beyond with supporting Mum when she has been unwell. Mum really appreciates their friendly faces each day and my sister and I feel confident Mum is well cared for and safe. Thank you Sussex Grange!

Excellent attitude and care from all staff. I am very impressed by the high standards of care. Having experience of training care workers myself I am most impressed. Staff, without exception, are sensible and attentive/previously I refused visits but now I welcome and look forward to visits and I think make a positive contribution to my progress.

They are always on time or let me know if any unforeseen circumstances may make them late together with issuing updated information each week on who is going to attend each day.

They will always flag any issues that may arise and will always make time to talk about any concerns I may have. Thank you once again to you all.

We were recommended to Sussex Grange Home Care by a friend and were so grateful for their help on a short-term basis. My husband had a bad fall and needed some personal care on his return from hospital. Nothing was too much trouble when I initially made contact and although we only needed help for a short while, the professionalism of the managers and carers was exceptional. I was kept informed at all times as to who would be visiting and the wonderful carers always arrived on time and were happy to help with anything that needed doing. There were occasions when we had to change the day for visits as we still had hospital appointments to keep and this was always accommodated in a polite and efficient manner. Thank you all at Sussex Grange for coming to our aid when we needed it most. We have no hesitation in recommending their services and will reach for the phone should we ever need help again.

I cannot say enough about the home care Mum has received from Sussex Grange. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - they are caring, kind and make Mum feel that she is important. They will take time to understand her needs and are very patient.

Communication is excellent and the manager and the team go out of their way to accommodate the changing needs of living with Alzheimer’s, they’ve arranged an extra visit when required, changed a visit time to fit with daycare, all the things that make a huge difference not only to mum’s life but to mine as well.

I want to congratulate the home care team at Sussex Grange for responding quickly, competently and caringly for both my parents when they needed care. Indeed if it had not been for the home care team advising me of the support that should be in place post-hospital discharge, my father may well have declined severely in health. Their care shone through, and the knowledge the team shared with me to make sure that everything necessary for my father was in place to ensure his well-being was gratefully received and acted upon. I can't believe that all your staff are so kind and considerate to her and have developed such a good relationship with her in such a short time. Getting her trust under her circumstances was never going to be easy, but your carers managed it, and I believe this has been a significant factor in her progress to date.

Always brilliant. Sussex Grange has been looking after our mother for five years, and we couldn’t survive without them. They provide two care visits a day to give medication and companionship, which has been a lifesaver. Thank you.
