It is a difficult time for anyone who has led an independent life and never needed to be helped with everyday tasks.
My Dad has always been absolutely independent and bluebird carers have always shown him respect when they visit.
It is an impossible task to meet all planned visits timely, how ever there had always been a friendly support team to help.

When we reached the point of needing carer's I was anxious about letting strangers into my home. However, the practical care is second to none and the compasion, care and regard for dignity shown, quickly made me completely comfortable. Bluebird carer's are vigilant and quickly raise apprpriate concern in relation to my father in law's health.

I cannot praise my carer enough, he goes above and beyond what he should do and I can't give him enough praise.
Mum's care supervisor was very responsive. Telephone calls and emails were responded to very quickly and satisfactorily. If Mum didn't take to a carer, then another carer would be assigned. All of the carers were very kind and treated Mum gently. I had confidence that she was in safe hands and was well looked after.
I'm not entirely sure that the washing up of crockery/cutlery is the best, but equally, I am unsure if this is being done by the carer or my dad.
Generally, I am happy to know that the carer is around for Dad.

We are very happy with the carer who comes each week. He is kind, helpful and plays games/does jigsaw puzzles. He is always happy and positive which helps. The cost is prohibitive and I'm not sure that we can continue with care visits for too long which is such a shame.

Bluebird care provides an excellent service. My mum, aged 90, receives personal and welfare calls each day and really looks forward to these. The carers have built up an excellent relationship with my mum, and we appreciate it very much. There is detailed communication between the carers, myself and the office staff with any worries dealt with efficiently. The carers never appear to be in a rush, which is good to see. It is an invaluable service, which helps all of us as a family, for which I would like to say, thank you very much.

Bluebird Care has saved my sanity when another care provider was so appalling. I was a registered suicide case after 3 weeks with Bluebird and the excellent care team I have not only been discharged from mental health back to GP, I have had the greatest 3 weeks I have had in a very long time. I look forward to each week's visits now whereas with another care provider I used to dread them. Thank you Bluebird I'm so glad you are there for me.

I have been bedbound since 2016 when a friend recommended Bluebird Care to me and I haven't regretted it for one moment. I have been privileged to have two "Major carers" in that time and they have been outstandingly good. The members of the team who have filled in during holidays or weekends have also been friendly and caring, so I would recommend Bluebird to others as it was to me. A pleasure to speak to all members of staff and any problems resolved immediately.

Meet the Team (7)
Gemma has worked in the health and social care sector for over 20 years. She enjoys working in the social care sector and is passionate about educating others in the brilliance and diversity of working in the care industry. Over her years in the sector, she has been able to learn sign language, how to change PEGS and climbed mountains and abseiled with customers in a variety of countries.
Neville chose to join the Bluebird Care team after a desire to change careers. With a degree in marketing and media, he also had a passion for giving back and wanted to put that at the centre of his career. In his role as Care Supervisor, Neville is now able to spend time giving back to the community. He loves helping others and providing support not just to our customers, but also to his colleagues as they deliver much-needed support.
Our Supervisor Emma has a vast knowledge of social care, with a background of providing care, supervising and coordinating rotas, she brings 20 years of experience to the team. While caring for her family, Emma devotes her working week to supporting the staff and customers in our Maidstone area. As a mum of two teens, who loves cinema trips, travelling and fine dining, Emma spends her time away from work planning her next family adventure.
Sinead joined the care sector following the COVID-19 pandemic, where she has been able to put her passion for looking after people to work. Initially joining the team as a Care Assistant, Sinead showed so much passion and drive that she became a Care Supervisor within just three months. Sinead showed us just how well she knew her customers and her colleagues; her organisation was amazing; it seemed only fitting to give her the role of Care Coordinator.
Donna joined Bluebird Care in September 2021 as a Care Professional, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care sector. Her background has equipped her with a deep understanding of the needs of both clients and care teams. With her extensive experience, Donna has now transitioned into a new role within our office as a Care Supervisor.
In this position, she continues to apply her expertise to ensure high standards of care and support for our clients. We are excited to have Donna in this leadership role, where her dedication and insight will greatly benefit our team and the community we serve.
Liz has worked in healthcare for 15 years, starting her career working as a community carer in Kent, then working in a care home supporting adults with mental health, before joining the Bluebird Care team. The reason Liz chose to work in healthcare is that she enjoys making a difference to people's lives. Having worked in a managerial role with Bluebird Care for four years and completed a level five qualification in Health and Social Care, Liz brings a wealth of experience to the role of Live in Care Manager. Liz works closely with the office team in supporting our live-in staff and customers, and visits our live-in care staff weekly to provide support. Also being passionate about providing our customers with an extremely high quality of support, Liz is extremely dedicated to her role and enabling our customers to remain at home for as long as possible.
Tracey has been a member of our team at Bluebird Care for over 6 years, starting her career as a Care Professional before progressing to her role as Care Supervisor. Following her clear passion for Live-In care, she has recently joined our Live-In Care team, working alongside our Live-In Care Manager. Tracey was attracted to a role in healthcare because she is incredibly passionate about people. She loves the interaction that she has with our customers as well as the opportunity to invest in and help our Care Professionals build their careers in care. She is proud to work for a leading provider of home care and, in particular, passionate about helping our customers remain at home for as long as possible.
