Most carers are satisfactory. Some are very good. One or two do not talk actually to the client but to each other. All are physically gentle and caring. Most very apologetic if they are late for a call. Travel times are not always sufficient for clients.

Lisa Newlands

Job Title: Registered manager

I have been in Health and social care since 1995 in the Greater London area. I started before that as a home care worker in Canada. I started with a company called Reliance Care as a care coordinator, managing a desk for residential homes and social workers in Croydon and the surrounding areas. I have been in management roles since 2004 and have also worked as a trainer in social care and a risk assessor. In my last post, I had recently moved to Kent and dealt with complex domiciliary social care with customers from both private and social services. They required both care professionals and nurses to support them in their own homes. I am very passionate and dedicated to ensuring that I work for a company that never compromises on the highest quality care, having experience with both good and bad care myself for family members, both past and present.
