I was treated with care and kindness when very vulnerable and weak. Your carers are encouraging and nothing is too much trouble. I’m always treated with respect and look on my carers with fondness.

I've been a client of Unicare for a few years and I have to say their service is outstanding, they've helped and assisted me in many ways.

They're very friendly and outgoing and care about those in their care above and beyond, they've assisted me on outings where I would have been limited and can't thank and recommend them enough.

Last October Unicare Devon supported my colleague and my friend to realise a dream and climb Kilimanjaro.
No mean feat for anyone but even more so as my friend has cerebral palsy.

The support and care during the lead-up and whilst abroad was amazing and this sort of thing says wonders about the staff and ethos at Unicare Devon.

Unicare, the Agency I can recommend 100%.

My husband has Alzheimer’s and is also disabled, with the help of Unicare carers and (two in particular) they have helped me to keep my husband at home for as long as possible. My husband is now in full-time residential care but even now members of the Unicare team have made time to visit him at the care home. Can never thank them enough for all their kindness and support going the extra mile.

Care of my mother became very difficult when the previous agency withdrew from providing residential help. Unicare, from the beginning, proved a God-send and met with all the demands that my mother's dementia and frailty presented. They provided the most professional care when all the other care provision proved completely inadequate.

I cannot thank the Unicare team enough.

I found all the staff that came to the house to care for mum were very caring and thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble, mum got on really well with all of the staff. It made things so much easier to know that they were coming in to help look after mum. The staff had a laugh with mum, they could put a smile on her face.

An incident happened this week when my brother was suffering from a water infection, unknown to anyone at the time. The carer for that day came to visit and found my brother out of sorts, called us and the office who in turn called his G.P problem solved! It's nice to know he is in safe hands.

Unicare were so supportive to both my husband and myself. The carers were amazing and ensured that my husband was so well cared for. They even regularly checked that any jobs needed doing for me were done. I am so very thankful to both the carers and the office team for looking after us both.

My wife has received care from Unicare for 3 years. The carers have always been very friendly, helpful, considerate and caring. During the past 2 years I have also been unwell and having their help has been a great support to me as well. The office staff are very helpful also, as at times we have needed extra help and they have always tried to accommodate this.

It’s almost two years now that I have been receiving care from Unicare, I have had no problems with any member of the care team or the office staff, I have been more than happy with every member of staff, I’m usually first on at 07.00 am, their staff no matter how much sleep they have had the night before I find them happy to care for me with a smile and a joke.

Last year was a sad one at Unicare a lot of the most senior staff found work elsewhere but Unicare have don’t everything possible to find replacements for those who left. Still it was sad for myself being on my own now they became friends, always cheerful, no matter what was going on in their private lives they seemed able to have a laugh and a joke with me which I’m sure at time’s the last thing they needed was a joke.

Fantastic staff, all caring, friendly and trustworthy.

The office staff are exactly the same. I highly recommend this company. They genuinely care about their clients and they arrive when they are supposed to. I have never felt uncomfortable with any staff member and get regular carers so I can build a rapport with them. This is so wonderful as my condition makes me very anxious if someone I don't know arrives to help me.

I get my help paid for by social services but if I had to pay for my care I would only have Unicare Devon. They are the best and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My mother has been a client of Unicare since the beginning really, after having to start a new care provider following a prolonged hospital stay.

We can only say after this period of time the care is the best we have received, the carers are well trained and always willing to do that little bit extra to fulfill the client's needs, should there be any issues then someone is at hand to deal with these. All carers have the skills and practical know how to engage with my mum and she also gets a good chat and cuddle too. Thank you Unicare.

They provide a great level of care and accommodate me to a very high standard. I know I'm hard work being wheelchair bound with MS, but all the staff cope extremely well with helping me. They visit me 4 times a day. I'm very grateful.

I have been a client of Unicare since I had Chemotherapy over four years ago. A very caring company you with high quality staff who are willing to support you. They have helped me through various health problems and I am now receiving care after breaking my leg whilst I was visiting my daughter in Buckinghamshire. The hospital treating me phoned Unicare to arrange a care package and they were very impressed by by the ' can do' attitude of the office staff.

Starting Unicare Devon in 2010 whilst having a very young family and working two jobs was a challenge, however, to see where the company is today makes me very proud as I really couldn't ask for a better team of people around me. They ensure the care our clients receive is nothing short of person-centred and reflects the individual's needs and wishes.

Very proud

Having established Unicare Devon in 2010 with John Powell, we were and still are, passionate about developing a company with family values at its core. After arriving in Devon in 1992 from Cornwall, I have had a variety of roles including supporting looked after children but the one that really resonated with me was providing Community care.

As a busy mum to two children and with lots of family now living locally, I love spending time my time with them and getting out and about and enjoying what beautiful Devon has to offer.

I have been in employment at Unicare Devon for seven years in November. I enjoy this role very much as it enables me to be involved in further supporting the company.

I joined Unicare during the pandemic in early 2020 as a carer. I worked my way up to Team Leader leading into my current role as Assessment Manager. I have worked within the NHS since I left school and before joining Unicare worked within GP practices. What I love most about my role is being able to fulfil my admin skills within the office but I also enjoy going out into the community and meeting our clients to assess and help improve their quality of life in their home environment. It is more than just a job! Outside of work I spend a lot of time with my grandparents, eating out with my friends and travelling.
