We were using Unicare once a day for personal care. Mum became very poorly and ended up in hospital. On discharge, she needed 4 visits double-handed. Unicare arranged this, and the care mum now has is fantastic, and the carers go beyond their duties to care for mum. They have time to give mum all of her care needs and keep her as independent as possible. I would recommend Unicare 100% they are so caring and professional.
Unicare endeavours to meet Mum's wishes as well as her needs.
I can't recommend them enough.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely review, we know our team loves looking after Mum and we will ensure they see what you've written. Keep well.
Being 3 hours away from my 87-year-old mother with Alzheimer’s was tough. But Unicare were amazing. Loads of communication, help, guidance setting care up. Amazing, friendly, caring, professional staff both carers and in the office, that were happy to go the extra mile. Mum was definitely in safe hands and I had nothing to worry about. Care ended when I moved my mother to a care home down the road from me but if she was still in Devon, Unicare would get my business to look after my mum. Thanks guys, you were amazing.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It was a true pleasure providing care and support to your mum during her time with us. We all grew very fond of her and miss her dearly. We were delighted to hear that she settled in well at the care home closer to yourself and it gives...
The team was wonderful, from the front-line carers to the office staff. A reassuring initial assessment, led to helping us with Dad's first experience with care at home, after an extended hospital stay. As my father is a widower, the balance of care, while encouraging independent living was delicate. After a year, the team have helped Dad do just that. Lately, positively moving on, to his new Care Home. Their daily observations helped flag any issues and even prompted us to sensibly book in with the GP. It’s clear caregiving is as complex as it gets, as complex as people, their situation and conditions. We never expected perfection, but the team cares and that’s priceless. If you employ a team to care, expect little scheduling niggles, both ways, as Covid, flat tyres may crop up. But I can’t fault the overall care UniCare can provide enough and your loved ones, at such a vulnerable time. Thanks to all the team, you really have made a huge difference!
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind and thoughtful review. We appreciate your kind words about our team. We are so pleased that we could help your father with his transition to home care after his hospital stay. We understand the delicate balance of providing care while encouraging...
per day. The whole process from start to setting up his care package was really quick. A staff member visited dad to do an assessment, she was lovely. Unicare even rings me to see if everything is going well.
Thank you so very much for taking the time give Unicare Devon this lovely review.
The carers have really looked after Mum. Their expertise and attention to detail has been much appreciated by the whole family, as has their patience. Their visits have made a huge difference and they have worked very hard to meet Mum's needs. We can't thank them enough.
We just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to review our company. We will send this on to all the team, as we know they appreciate the feedback,
Unicare Devon provided care for my dad, who has now sadly passed away. Nothing was too much for the carers, they treated him with dignity at all times. They always had a smile on their faces and as a family, we felt very supported and cared for. Amazing team, thank you so much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give our company a review. I know our ladies and gents were very fond of Dad. Keep safe.
Unicare staff were extremely attentive to my father when he was ill, all staff were very professional and friendly in their work with my father himself and all of the family. I have and will continue to recommend Unicare to people I know that need extra support with a family member.
Thank you so very much for your kind words. I'll pass this feedback on to the staff team. Keep safe.
There are four here in the infirmary and a full team of six carers who provide excellent coverage for us. Of those four, two have more full-time coverage and two well looked after.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to review our services. We are so pleased you feel well looked after. Keep safe, John.
I am so grateful for everything the carers do for me; they are so kind and helpful. As I said, I would recommend them to all my friends if they need help. Thank you all very much; you do a wonderful job.
Thank you so much for your kind words and taking the time to send in a review for our team and company.
In the nature of things, one hasn't experienced other care providers. One can, however, say that one is thoroughly satisfied with the care provided. It is conducted courteously and efficiently. The staff all seem to be trained to tackle all my needs, which may not be all that exceptional.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review our service.
We are very blessed to have the excellent care provided by the fab team. Many, many thank yous.
Thank you so very much for taking a moment to review our carers and management at Unicare Devon. Keep safe.
The care team has been excellent in all respects. I have no hesitation in recommending Unicare.
Keep safe.
A very good service provided by Unicare Newton Abbot to my 100-year-old uncle. Care was invariably good and above the standard of most other agencies. A few issues with time-keeping, usually over the weekend, but I think this is common to most agencies who have difficulty providing cover then. Would definitely recommend them to others and would use them again if needed, for a relative.
What a lovely and fair review. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to share this.
I am impressed by the professional standard of care to our old and infirm monks from all the Unicare team. Nothing is too much trouble. The Unicare Devon team have a good, professional, working relationship with all the monastic community.
Thank you so very much for these kind words about Unicare Devon, its an honour for our team to work and care for such lovely people. Keep safe, John.
I have been with Unicare Devon for over five years and I am so very happy with my care. The staff are so very kind and helpful and look after me very well. I am 95 years old so pleased to still be in my own home.
I have to say we just love having you as a part of the Unicare Devon family. I look forward to popping up to see you when Covid 19 calms down. Tea and biscuits are a must and thank you for taking the time to do this review.
The service has been invaluable. Support workers have shown Mum kindness, dignity and professional healthcare and support. Each worker brings something different when they visit, fun, singing, chat, empathy and kindness, making each visit special, suiting their actions to how Mum feels on the day. Very special people.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to review Unicare. I know our staff are very fond of your mum.
A very dedicated team of carers. Kind and thoughtful, dealing with varying situations in a very sensitive and understanding way.
We very much appreciate it
Keep safe
John

We are all very grateful for the work that the office staff do in your wonderful organisation. It's because of Unicare Devon office staff and each individual carers that we can stay in our own home together and for that we are very grateful. We love you all.

Starting Unicare Devon in 2010 whilst having a very young family and working two jobs was a challenge, however, to see where the company is today makes me very proud as I really couldn't ask for a better team of people around me. They ensure the care our clients receive is nothing short of person-centred and reflects the individual's needs and wishes.
Very proud
As a busy mum to two children and with lots of family now living locally, I love spending time my time with them and getting out and about and enjoying what beautiful Devon has to offer.
Before joining Unicare Devon in July 2019, I spent part of my life in Australia where my children were born, but then came home where I worked within Torbay as a Health and Social Care Assessor assisting individuals to gain their qualifications. When outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family which includes my husband and two adult children, one if which is married. We enjoy spending time together and taking walks in the countryside and by the beautiful beaches of Devon.
Before working for Unicare Devon, I spent twenty years working out in the community looking after elderly and vulnerable Adults. I have been in employment at Unicare Devon for seven years in November. I started off in community care, and after a couple of years, I was promoted to team leader, to then progress to becoming company scheduler.
I enjoy this role very much as it enables me to be involved in further supporting the company.
I have lived in Devon all my life, I am married I have lots of pets and enjoy going away on camping holidays.
I am married, we have 2 sons and grandchildren. I enjoy travel, spending time with my family and cooking. I have worked in the Care industry for almost 50 years now. So I have seen many changes over the years and feel settled with Unicare Devon.
I joined Unicare during the pandemic in early 2020 as a carer. I worked my way up to Team Leader leading into my current role as Assessment Manager. I have worked within the NHS since I left school and before joining Unicare worked within GP practices. What I love most about my role is being able to fulfil my admin skills within the office but I also enjoy going out into the community and meeting our clients to assess and help improve their quality of life in their home environment. It is more than just a job! Outside of work I spend a lot of time with my grandparents, eating out with my friends and travelling.
I have worked for Unicare Devon for the last 3 years. When I first started I was a carer, soon after I became a Team Leader and for the last year, I have been the HR manager. During my time here at Unicare Devon, I have realised that Unicare Devon is a one of a kind company. During my spare time, I enjoy taking my 6-year-old daughter out on adventures.
