Bluebird care gave personal service to 3 members of my family firstly my mother-in-law for at least 3 years until she went into a nursing home. Then due to the excellent care she received, I asked Bluebird Care to help look after my father as he has dementia and deteriorated which helped my mother so very much, during that time the carers always checked my mother was ok and flagged up any concerns or worries to the family. When my mum became ill and dad went into a nursing home, Bluebird Care looked after mum at the end of her life, allowing us to keep her at home. They also cared for the family during this difficult time with the utmost care, support and dignity.

Overall Experience
Since my mum moved closer to us Bluebird has been fantastic. All the team are nice, friendly and caring. The care and support my mum has had in 6 weeks has totally changed her. Mum was in a bad place before her move but now wow! what a change.

I cannot thank the team enough as I am sure I would have lost my mum now she says she has a new life in front of her. Thank you.

Overall Experience

Bluebird have been caring for my Mother on several occasions following surgery and hospital visits. Her care has been first class and she has full confidence that what ever her needs the staff have been able and willing to provide, in some cases beyond expectations. She has also made some friendships with the carers and appreciates the care and companionship they provide.

Bluebird Care provided consistent, caring, warmth and professional service throughout the period of care provided to my mother. Every interaction (front line and back office) was nothing short of fantastic. They were proactive in the care and their experience of working with dementia was so supportive and vital to the family. Very good service and support. The charges are high for an hour but for shorter visits (1/2 and 3/4 hour) are very expensive.

I do have one complaint. I don't like my morning call before 8.30am but on some days recently, it has been between 8.18 and 8.20am and I feel pushed because of this.

We were at our lowest point when Bluebird Care came into our lives/home to assist with the care of my mother-in-law. The changes they have made to her life, and ours, is immeasurable. They are all attentive, caring and supportive, of not just their client, but the whole family. They have allowed my mother-in-law to be herself again. Whenever I call with a problem or just a question, they deal with it immediately. Every member of staff we have dealt with has been amazing.

We are very happy with the standard of care we receive from Bluebird. All the carers are very kind and helpful and know our needs well. They are punctual and very professional in their work. The organisation has always worked with us to the highest standard and are able to accommodate our needs well. Mum has had an excellent service from Bluebird Care for four years now. Managers are easy to reach by phone and have dealt with any issues we have had promptly and efficiently. New staff always accompany Mum's carer on visits before they visit her alone. We know in advance who will be coming (weekly rota) and Mum has a small team of regular carers who she is very fond of. She enjoys their visits and the care they offer her.

Robert Treschi Job Title: Director Joined: 2011
Robert Treschi

I am the Director of Bluebird Care (Stevenage and North Herts). We have a dedicated team that has managed the care from this office for the last 12 years; the Care Manager, coordinator and Supervisor have a combined experience of over 35 years in care.

Having experienced first-hand the difficulties and frustrations of arranging care for my own father I am passionate to provide a service that actually puts the customer and their needs at its heart.

Excellent customer service is very important to me, and my team, and we aim to offer care that we would expect from our own family members. This is why we don’t offer 15-minute visits as we believe that is not sufficient time to offer adequate care. We also aim to have a one-to-one relationship between each customer and carer so that more personal care and friendship can be offered.

Prior to care, I have over 30 years of experience in business (including various Telecommunications companies in over 10 foreign countries) which has taught me that you are only as good as the people you employ. We, therefore, want our carers to be happy and to have a passion for caring.

I have been involved in fundraising for the Alzheimers Society and I am a Dementia Champion.
