Care given to my father during difficult times due to his illness and then the loss of my mother has been brilliant. The carers, these being on the front line as it were, have been excellent.

As can be seen from the tick-boxes, I really can't praise the staff at Home Instead Leek, Staffordshire Branch enough. Overall, they've provided me and my father with real peace of mind and on the odd occasion there have been any queries, they have been dealt with quickly and courteously.

My 93-year-old auntie is being 'cared for' by this company. I have photos of her property which is in a disgusting state. My aunt's clothes are unwashed as is she. I have found no evidence of her being bathed/washed whatsoever. Very little food in the house, and my aunt is very underweight. Called the
company for an explanation and was met with a brick wall. Legal action via the Police is underway.

Whilst we strive to provide the best care possible, there are times when our efforts may not meet the expectations of our clients. Our services are governed by the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, and we adhere to the principles of Person-Centred care. Upon addressing your concerns, we initiated a safeguarding procedure and arranged a meeting with you and relevant Social Services. Following this investigation, no evidence of neglect or malnutrition was found. Our primary goal is to deliver exceptional care to all our clients. You were encouraged to file a formal complaint if you wished to do so at the time, however chose not to do so. I sincerely apologise for any shortcomings in your experience.

Since the carers began looking after Dad in May, his mood has lifted and he absolutely loves the daily interaction with them. Dad's treated with kindness, dignity and professionalism. The communication is excellent, responses are always prompt. All the tasks are completed and the time spent with Dad
has had a very positive impact. I am very thankful. Dad has a recent diagnosis of dementia and I know the care that he receives, has and does support this greatly in this chapter of his life. Many thanks, fantastic carers, always recommending to others.

We needed support for my dad very quickly following a fall at home. Home Instead responded quickly and sympathetically. They were accommodating and professional. Timings of visits aren’t ideal for Dad but he is settling into a new routine and we remain on a waiting list for more suitable visit times.
The carers allocated to Dad have been respectful, kind and caring. Home Instead try to ensure the same carers visit so that Dad can get to know them and they can familiarise themselves with dad's routine and care plan.
Management has been approachable and supportive especially when we needed it the most within days of Dad's fall.

On the whole the team of carers that I have are very good. However, occasionally they do forget to do necessary tasks. An example would be not taking out the bins.

My Aunt is a service user of the Home Instead Leek care team and I have complete confidence in them. As her needs over the years have changed (currently quite dramatically) the manager and carers have provided extremely flexible and appropriate support sometimes at very short notice following injury
from a fall for example and even included overnight care. I have simply found the whole team to be wonderfully supportive and caring, treating my Aunt and us as a family with the utmost respect.
