Assist & Care Ltd is an exceptionally good care provider. The minimum of one hour per visit makes for a comfortable and relaxed experience. I have up to four regular carers; the team leader and care manager make regular checks to ensure I am getting the correct care. The agency uniquely puts on a Christmas party each year, as well as sending seasonal and birthday cards.

Assist & Care provided carers for my mum for 3 years. My mum could not have been in better hands. The organisation provides carers who really do care. The managers of Assist & Care took great care to organise carers who perfectly matched my mum’s needs. The carers were able to not only help Mum with physical needs, but all of them provided for her emotional needs. These carers were a lifeline for Mum and gave her life meaning and purpose. The Assist & Care Manager made sure that Mum got the same regular carers that she really clicked with and liked.

Living abroad, it was really comforting for me to know that she was so well looked after especially after she was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia in the last year of her life. All of them were so attentive and kind to Mum and genuinely lovely people. She could never have received care as good as this in a nursing home. They gave service above and beyond the call of duty and made the final stage of my mum’s life so happy.

During the two years that my mother was cared for by Assist and Care, I was impressed by the reliable, professional and caring attitude of all the staff. My mother was always treated with dignity and respect, and the carers often went above and beyond the call of duty. The carers made the effort to get to know my mother's needs and showed great attention to detail. They helped her to maintain a degree of independence by encouraging her, yet did not 'take over', and seemed to know intuitively when more assistance was required.
The manager is also a compassionate, conscientious person who provided an excellent service. The carers had obviously undergone training and were also diligent in completing the necessary documentation. I was particularly pleased that there was always a familiar face, and new carers were introduced to my mother before arriving to take care of her.

I would be more than happy to recommend Assist and Care to anyone requiring care at home.

Assist & Care gave my Mother very close, well trained and friendly support in her own home over a period of 2 years before she went into a Retirement Home.
They always came on time and she enjoyed their company as well as their support.

Would certainly recommend them, because they are true to their name; they care, and they do assist, making the most of the abilities of the person they are caring for.

Having experienced the abysmal care company provided to me I decided that my father deserved better. He needed visits 3 times a day to help with taking medication, getting meals ready and getting washed and dressed.
Assist & Care came highly recommended.
I enquired about their services and the owner/manager came to visit us. She was obviously a very caring and committed person. We decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed.
The carers that she sent in to see my Dad were caring and considerate and it was great that he could see friendly faces on a regular basis.
Instead of worrying what the carers would be doing when they visited my father I was now able to relax knowing that he was being well taken care of.
Not only were the staff able to sort out Dad's care requirements but they were happy to take him for walks and drives out to help break up his day.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Assist & Care.

I was worried about inviting people into my life. I have difficulties that are frustrating but I know there are some things I can't do. This company have given me hope that my life is just that, mine. They offer as much or little help as I request but I know help is at hand if I need it. I am treated as a human being.

My son is a client, he has found his condition difficult to come to terms with and is very independent. Assist & Care delivers those two words, offering assistance when needed with a caring approach. The ethos of this company is exactly what a company in this field of service should be. Since the company came on board to support my son, it has given me comfort, as I know that he feels comfortable with his care worker and office and management staff, he feels that nobody is taking control of his life or even trying to.

He now feels that valued that if the time comes that he requires more assistance in daily life he would be comfortable to request and accept that help. Thank you to all the staff you have given me some comfort to know that if for whatever reason I was not able to support my son, he will not be on his own.

The Community Nurse from my aunt’s Medical Centre gave me contact details for A & C in 2014.
The owner/manager immediately followed up my enquiry. Their informal, yet very professional approach during the initial interview was thorough & reassuring for both my aunt & me. The outcome of a lengthy initial skillful assessment was a thorough awareness of my aunt’s needs & a personalised Care Plan was later written.
The organisation is adept at organising the care staff rotas with staff members to meet the personalities of the clients. Having regular & familiar carers is such an asset.

Throughout the past 2 years, in-patient hospital stays are a reality for my aunt. This is where A & C excels, their kindness & flexibility during these periods means that in the absence of any visitors, the carers visit. If necessary, the managers arrange transport home from hospital & ensure fresh food is available. Being able to return home enables my aunt to maintain her family & friends relationships.

We have been so delighted with the service provided by Assist & Care; they are fully professional, reliable and thorough in everything they do. As a private family owned business they have been personal and genuine throughout the whole process of caring for my 93 yr old dad. It has been more like having an extension of the family in the home. We would highly recommend them to anybody
