Nurses were always on time and were always very cheerful and kind. At the moment the service has only been for a very short period.

Meet the Team (4)
Terri originally started with Bluebird Care (Lewes District) in July 2011 where she was the Company’s first and only carer. When the Company was in its infancy she helped with a variety of duties to help get the business off the ground. Terri then left to start her own business and soon discovered that she missed her love for care.
She returned to the sector where she gained experience in hospital and nursing home settings. During the pandemic, Terri worked in a nursing home and was responsible for keeping residents safe. Terri has been a manual handling trainer and has a considerable amount of nurse training. She holds a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and will be working towards Level 5. Terri is honoured to be working with Bluebird Care once again, now as Care Manager, and is looking forward to assisting the company to new heights.
Karen joined us in 2019 as a Training Officer and has now moved into the position of Operations Manager responsible for both offices in Hove and Newhaven. She is still responsible for training all new care assistants and for the ongoing continued professional development of the wider existing teams and carers.
Due to her astounding skills base and ability to problem solve she has taken on the whole of Operations Manager for the two businesses. This includes supporting the Registered Care Managers with compliance as well as using her knowledge as a registered nurse to guide the business, and new and experienced employees to fulfil potential.
Karen considers;
The investment made in training our staff to a high standard is a testament to the level of care that’s provided ensuring all staff are prepared for the individual needs of our customers.
Courtney started with Bluebird Care (Lewes District, Brighton & Hove) in November 2023 as the Lead Care Co-Ordinator across both offices. Courtney has worked within the care sector for 11 years across both residential and domiciliary care. During those 11 years, Courtney has worked across many roles, from a care assistant to a deputy manager within a residential care home. Courtney is highly motivated, proactive and has a positive attitude. Courtney is keen to work as part of the team and is committed to providing clients, their families, and carers with a very high-quality level of support.
Sarah has many years of experience as a care worker and has been working with Bluebird Care (Lewes District, Brighton and Hove) since March 2019. She joined the office team, working from the Newhaven office, working in support of Tracy Wood, our Lead Area Supervisor. Sarah holds Level 2 & 3 qualifications in Health & Social Care.
I have enjoyed my progression from Carer to Support Supervisor and now to Area Supervisor; I have had a lot of encouragement and support from the team and have also always felt part of the team.
