Home Instead Senior Care (Hemel Hempstead & Chilterns) are excellent with my mother. She is given full attention, kept safe and ably assisted with her showering needs. The carers are friendly and Mum loves them. (She has the main carer and another for when her main carer is away). As her daughter, I am kept advised of any changes/concerns with Mum. The office staff/ reviews and feedback are superb. I am so pleased I found the company. They do exactly what mum needs and I feel reassured by their presence. I trust them implicitly and cannot thank them enough.

My elderly neighbor who is registered blind was finding it very difficult to cope on her own at home. As i had heard good reports of Home Instead Senior Care suggested she should inquire about their care. She has been very satisfied with her carer who calls on her 3 days a week. The carers does her cleaning, helps her in the shower and takes her shopping.

After leaving school I took on the role of a part time private carer for a disabled gentleman. During this time I built a passion for care, and found great reward from watching how my efforts made a difference in the quality of life my client received. It was from there that I decided to take my experience further and to work within the community at Home Instead. I have loved working for Home Instead and over the years I have progressed my career to become Registered Care Manager. I have completed various training courses, but my biggest achievement is my Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

I hope to pass on my passion and enthusiasm to other Care Professionals through the help and support I offer them.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, going to the cinema and spending time with my husband and son.

I have worked in the care sector both private and NHS for 26 years, during which time I have worked in many roles: from Carer, Scheduler, Trainer, Compliance Officer, to Care Manager. I have loved the variety of roles in the different care and support sectors in which I have worked.

As a Manager in Domiciliary Care I have 6 years’ experience.

I have gained qualifications over the years NVQ level 2 & 3 in Direct and Acute care, Level 4 Leadership and Management Award; PTTLL- train the trainer, and trained in all mandatory subjects.

I have been very fortunate to have worked with inspiring people who have shared their skills and knowledge to support my professional development over the years.

My passion throughout my career has always been about providing quality care and a support service, which is why I joined Home Instead in February 2020 as their ethos and the company values absolutely reflect my own.

In my spare time it's home-life as Mum - I enjoy spending time with my two children, and days out with my family. I also like to attend charity events to raise money for Dementia UK and Alzheimer's Society.
