Catto Homecare is an independent domiciliary and live in care specialist provider that offers privately funded personal care, support services and companionship to adults and older people. Catto Homecare covers MS, various types of dementia eg Alzheimers, Vascular Dementia, Mixed Dementia, arthritis, osteoporosis, stroke / TIA's, amputations, COPD, Parkinson's, renal failure, cellulitis, long-term COVID, cancer and of course broken bones among other conditions. Almost all referrals are generated through word of mouth.

Staff are trained to provide a high quality of care and attention to detail. Carers are all able to provide lymphatic drainage on legs for those with Lymphedema.

Companionship or going for a walk in wheelchairs as well as taking clients to regular appointments is a growing area of the business and sometimes attending hospital appointments is needed if family are unable to attend.

Catto Homecare also offers a check in service e.g., not being time specific but a call in the afternoon to check on the person and ensure all is well.

We were advised by a friend to contact Catto Homecare who is an independent local agency that employs a well-qualified team of care workers. One of the main benefits for us was to receive a weekly list in advance as to which carers were attending and that the same daily visit times were adhered to.
My parents have appreciated receiving visits from the same small team of workers during the pandemic. We also had the reassurance they were protected by staff wearing face masks at all times from March 2020. As far as I am aware, no Catto carers were ever infected with COVID, and luckily, my parents remained COVID free. Any family requests to Catto management were always promptly dealt with. A significant amount of extra support and great teamwork was displayed when other multidisciplinary team members were involved to upgrade various equipment. We really appreciate all they have done for my family and would certainly recommend them to others looking for a standard of care.

The manager at Catto and her team of wonderful carers, literally saved our lives last year. Looking after a mother-in-law with Alzheimer's on a rapid decline is not only heart-wrenching but also puts a huge strain on daily life. The carers at Catto were like a ray of sunshine every day, nothing was
too much trouble and their expertise allowed for dignity to be maintained. When lockdown restrictions were eased they would take her out to garden centres, M&S and shopping malls just to give her a change of scenery and provide her with coffee and cake. Every time a new/additional carer was introduced, the manager would join to provide a thorough hand-over to ensure Mum's all-important routines were upheld. I really couldn't recommend them enough, and if you or someone you know needs some help to make life a little easier and happier, then calling Catto is a great start!

I have been with this home care agency for three years, and while they are more expensive than my previous carers, they are well worth the extra cost. Their registered manager is excellent, very good at choosing her staff, very helpful and good at giving advice. From time to time, she personally cares
for me. The office is run by a very competent manager who is readily available if I have any problems. The schedule of carers varies from week to week, and there are seven carers in total, and they are all good. They all come at the precise time that they are due every day, which is incredible. Overall, the service provided is unbelievably high, and I am really thankful.

Catto Homecare has worked with my mother for the last 7 years. Their care and support for my mother and myself has been exemplary. The manager has supported me through my mother's journey with dementia.
Catto carers have been consistent, knowledgeable and committed to caring, always going the extra
mile.
Catto enabled my mother to fulfil her wish to die at home and the manager was with my mother when she died, she supported me with telling doctors, coroners etc.
From the moment I met the manager 7 years ago, I knew any company she managed would be excellent, she was always at the end of the phone and managed any emergency wonderfully, always keeping me informed and when mum fell and was in hospital for 2 weeks, she attended meetings with me to arrange discharge .
All in all, Catto Homecare deserve the highest award going definitely an excellent company with the highest standards of client centred caregiving.

I cannot recommend Catto highly enough. Since our first contact Catto have provided a thorough, thoughtful, compassionate and friendly service. The set up of our system at home to care for my father was very well thought through for his ease, and comfort, safety for the carers, and minimising the impact
on the rest of the household. The small group of regular,well trained Carers were friendly and efficient, striking good rapport with both my father and the rest of the family including shy teenagers who could have reacted against the presence of carers daily in the house.
The systems of communication and record keeping were exemplary encouraging ease of continuity between carers, family and care home. Over all we were really pleased to have found this company and to have had their assistance in caring for my father and cannot thank them enough.

Having grown up with a very strong bond to my late, independently, feisty grandmother, I feel I have all the skills, motivation and passion needed to work as a Manager in this field. My focus is on treating people with kindness, compassion and fairness. Although my background pre care was in the corporate world within global telecoms living and working overseas, my most successful achievements have been within care.


Qualifications:
