My parents have been using Bespoke Home Care since December and we are very happy with the standard of care provided. The carers are always kind and courteous to mum and dad and very understanding of their needs. The management team are always available should there be any questions and they are always happy to help and advise as necessary. I have recommended Bespoke Home Care services to others in our community.
Thank you very much for your kind words. This is lovely feedback.

Meet the Team (5)
I make sure the care we provide truly honours the memory of my Nan and parents. Every client is treated as an individual — with their own life story, preferences, and the dignity they deserve.
Supporting my team, checking in on clients, solving challenges, and making sure everything runs smoothly. No two days are the same — but every day is about making someone’s life better.
Why I chose care work / started this company:
I saw firsthand how vital compassionate care is when supporting my own family. I wanted to create a service that feels personal, not corporate — where kindness and respect come first.
Seeing the difference we make — when a client feels valued, understood, and safe, that’s everything.
Driven, caring, and straight-talking.
I’m passionate about mindfulness and wellbeing — and I’m a qualified practitioner of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
To me, good care means:
Listening properly, respecting individuality, and never rushing the moments that matter.
Remembering the little details — like someone’s favourite biscuit or the song that makes them smile.
Tea or coffee?
Tea — strong, splash of milk, one sugar.
Garibaldi biscuit — retro, simple and always a winner.
Teleportation — so I could be there instantly when someone needs me.
My proudest moment in care:
Building a team that genuinely cares — and hearing families say, “You’ve made such a difference.”
“Clarity is to calmness what vagueness is to stress.”
“Lovely Day” by Bill Withers — it never fails to lift the mood.
What I Do at Bespoke Home Care
I liaise with professional bodies to support our clients’ well-being and ensure their needs are met. I oversee the day-to-day running of the company, maintain compliance, train staff, and wear many other hats—sometimes all at once!
A Typical Day
Starts with a daily meeting (and coffee) with Rachel. Then it’s on to resolving issues or emergencies, confirming care visits from the day before, and liaising with clients, potential clients, and our team.
A Bit About Me
- What I love most: That feeling when you leave a client’s home knowing you’ve truly helped someone—it’s humbling.
- Three words people use to describe me: Strong, Caring, and occasionally a tad outspoken.
- Something you might not guess: I can play the bagpipes—well, I am Scottish after all!
How I Care
- A small thing I do that makes a big difference: I take the time to get to know people.
Just for Fun
- Favourite biscuit to share with a client: Lidl’s own double choc chip… though sharing is unlikely!
- If I had a care superpower: To end suffering.
Optional Extras
- A quote I live by: Enjoy every moment.
- Go-to feel-good song: Perfect by Fairground Attraction.
I assess new clients, ensuring they receive the best care and support from our incredible team. I do care calls, especially the first visits, to ensure the Care plan is accurate. I plan schedules for clients and carers, and so much more behind the scenes!
Whilst having a coffee, I will check the previous evening's care notes and deal with any emails. I will take on new Carers, introduce them to clients, and carry out spot checks, etc.

• My proudest moment in care:
I worked with one client for over a year in previous role, before I left, she requested I be with her for that last week, she told me as we said our goodbyes that the moment I walked in she knew I was a fantastic carer and had shown her such dignity and respect throughout. That’s why I do what I do.

Independence support worker
My day would start by supporting clients with their morning routines by assisting with personal care, administering meditation and preparing a meal, as the day progresses I would meet various other clients and often assist with personal care, do some house chores, prepare meals and offer companionship, the evenings would be to assist them with bedtime routines, all by ensuring their needs are met as per their individual care requirements.
A Bit About Me
It is always an opportunity for me to make a positive impact on my clients assisting them to complete tasks as they would independently, owning the process and participating makes them feel valued, it also offers a chance for me to build strong relationships and the varied experience of meeting different people opens an avenue for growth in the career and learning new things.
Putting a smile on my clients faces and seeing them happy, a laugh here and there uplifts them. That simple thank you or positive feedback goes a long way to show that I am making a difference in someone's life.
- Calm, kind, professional
Apart from being a professional, I have done farming as well.
