Overall Experience

We are so pleased with the services of Bluebird carers. Always well presented and cheerful. They always understand my husband's dementia and give good answers to him. It is always helpful to have regular visits of the same girls as the continuity helps my husband with his spells of confusion. We appreciate the on-call contact if they are delayed at previous visits. Someone always arrives! These girls do a wonderful job in the work they do.

Overall Experience
We have worked with Bluebird Care for ten years and have been very pleased with the service. Recently some new carers have been introduced. This has gone very smoothly, and what could have been a difficult and unsettling time, because any change is difficult for the person cared for, it has been managed very efficiently and sensitively. No upset has been experienced. Routines have been maintained.

Also, requests for different times to deal with bank holidays and London Ride have been actioned with great efficiency and goodwill.

Overall Experience

I have found the carers are very kind and understanding towards my mum. They are very professional in personal care towards my mum. They also provide a service which helps me keep the house clean and tidy (washing, washing up, food service) as well as tablets are taken. Can not say anything negative towards the whole company.

Overall Experience
My sister is disabled, and lives alone, over 100 miles from my location.
She is very happy with the care she receives from Bluebird, and all staff are caring and attentive to her needs. My sister is well looked after in her sometimes challenging situation. If there is a problem, I am confident that Bluebird staff will sort things out promptly and efficiently, and always respond positively to any of my concerns.

I have confidence that any Medical emergencies are always dealt with immediately. Overall we receive excellent service from Bluebird.

Overall Experience

I cannot recommend the Brentwood Bluebird Care team highly enough! They have been a fantastic team of girls who have supported us and cared for my very ill father (who sadly died in October) and continue to care for my elderly mother. I consider that we were very lucky to find this company when we really needed help. Without exception, they are all lovely people and the continuity of seeing the same faces has been especially reassuring for my mother.

Overall Experience
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we urgently needed a new care provider for my Mother. The previous provider had set a high benchmark and we were concerned about a change, but I can only say that Bluebird have exceeded expectation and the relief and support we feel like a family, is immense.

The manager has shown extreme sensitivity and understanding in accommodating Mum's needs recognising that this change has created anxiety and a sense of loss for my Mum. Mum had a good relationship with her old carers and saw them as friends, so Bluebird has chosen a small team of regular carers to help Mum in this change. She is building new relationships and speaks highly of each one and the carers treat Mum with kindness and compassion. In every respect, high professional service is given and there is excellent communication. Nothing is too much trouble and Bluebird has excelled in helping Mum to adjust to change. We are immensely grateful that we have chosen Bluebird.

All carers are kind and considerate towards my mother. My mother very much finds the continuity of carers very helpful given her needs and also given that she can become easily worried. From my perspective have found Bluebird Care to be very professional in dealing with any issues/queries.

Overall Experience
Bluebird continues to offer an extremely reliable service, of a high standard.
Carers are respectful, conscientious and carry out their tasks with sensitivity, warmth and professionalism.
They show a great deal of kindness to my mother and seem to understand her well.
It is easy to keep in touch with the staff, and they always try to meet any requests if something new crops up at short notice.

Our family are very grateful to all the staff for their continuing care.

I have total confidence in Bluebird to provide much-needed support to my mum and step-father. Their service has been a great comfort to me, as with all the Covid restrictions and living two hours drive away, I have relied on the carers totally and they have never failed in their duty of care - not just to my parents but also me, they keep me informed of any issues and help me communicate with them using FaceTime, which I very much appreciate as with my mum’s dementia telephone calls can be a struggle but when she sees me on screen she connects and responds more. The Bluebird team really do care about their clients, the office staff are very quick to respond to any questions or problems I have and offer good advice which is very reassuring as I am new to this situation (my parents mental and physical health has declined very rapidly in the last 12 months) and I often feel overwhelmed. The carers who visit and treat my parents with respect and show great kindness and thoughtfulness.

Overall Experience

My mother has received an increasing amount of care over the last two years, beginning with a couple of visits a day and now having increased to four. I have met several of the staff in that time and have frequently been impressed by their caring nature and general desire to help my mother. She has often told me about their visits and how her favourites engage with her and take an interest in her past life. The management has been proactive in helping to increase support to my mother as she left hospital this week and I know that she is thankful to be able to remain in her home with the Bluebird Care support.

A fantastic team of carers provide care and support to my mum so that she is able to continue to live in her own home. The carers are always kind, respectful and professional at all times. They have kept her safe during the Covid outbreak. Thank you Bluebird Care for everything you do.

Very professional at all times. Front line and office staff all kind, caring, and considerate towards the client and their families. Great communication which is always prompt and appropriate. We really don't have a bad word to say about anything! Not an excellent score for overall standard because carer arrives smelling strongly of smoke, but this is being addressed.

I have Monday to Friday 7am call - 3/4 hr at £23.50. The girls are prompt, efficient and friendly.

Clemency Towlson Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2012
Clemency Towlson

Clem has been part of The Essex West team from the outset. As our longest-standing employee, Clem is equipped with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for her job role. Since beginning her career with Bluebird Care, Clem has held the role of both care assistant and senior care assistant. In these roles, Clem continually showed an amicable approach to all, happy to assist any customer or care assistant in need and carry out any duties required. As well as Clem's wealth of experience she is also extremely well educated; with a (BA) of Science in Health and Social Care, NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, SFE level 3 Palliative Care, EDI level 2 Managing and Safe Handling of Medication, as well as equality and diversity certifications. Clem is a true asset to our team and is always on hand to apply her knowledge to any situation when required.

Michelle joined Bluebird Care Essex West in January 2013.

After her grandmother received homecare support and seeing the difference this made to her Michelle was inspired to have a career change.

Michelle has completed her NVQ L2 in Health and Social Care and following this was promoted to senior care assistant which allowed her to take on more responsibility.

In January 2014 Michelle was further promoted to the care supervisor role, which was a great opportunity to see the other side of the care system.

She enjoys her new role as our Senior Care Supervisor immensely. Michelle now gets to go out to meet new customers, reassure them and explain how homecare works. She can then personalise a care plan which meets all their requirements.

Care assistants work very hard and it is my pleasure to be part of this team. I still enjoy the occasions when I have to go out and give care. Being a care assistant or part of a caring community is a rewarding and satisfying career."
