We are so glad we discovered 'Bluebird'. The carers have proven to be friendly, caring and professional in the support of our mother. Head office are always accommodating for all our detailed requirements. A bonus is the app, which is so useful as it enables us to monitor each visit. We recommend Bluebird 100%.
Thank you for your review and your reference to the technology our service supports you with.
The care shown to my father has been great and his carers always arrive on time. My father looks forward to their arrival and they bring a smile to his face. Thank you, Bluebird Care.
Thank you for your kind words and recommendations.
Bluebird was able to provide me with a 2hr slot of care following a total knee replacement that was done at very short notice. I gave them a wide range of times i.e. 10 am-1.30 pm to help make it possible. At all times the carers gave very good care, efficient and encouraging and are continuing to do so for a short period. They enabled me to put all my energy to get 100% knee function and are assisting me with a stress problem following the op. Well done to all.
Thank you for your kind words and compliments - from all at Bluebird Care Essex West.
Excellent service as well as timings. Care, understanding and consideration. Double check before carer leaves. I couldn't have wished for better carers nothing is too much trouble. Light hearted smiles. Thank god to have received so much goodness and kindness.
Thank you for the kind comments. It was also a pleasure to provide care for you. May I take this opportunity to wish you well for the future.
Have used Bluebird for 2 years and 4 months. All the carers were at least good, most very good. Had the same carer all the time when it was possible which was very good. If the carer was delayed for any reason the office usually phoned. The office staff were very helpful and co-operative.

- Outstanding - The service is performing exceptionally well.
- Good - The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
- Requires Improvement - The service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
- Inadequate - The service is performing badly and we've taken action against the person or organisation that runs it.
- Not rated - we have not yet rated this area of the service, this is normally because the assessments we have carried out have been focused on other key questions.
Rated "Good" in all areas by the Care Quality Commission. Key quotes from the inspection: "The staff help me in whatever I am doing. I feel that I am in control. Whatever I ask they do it. They don't take over and don't say 'We are doing it like this. They even do extra little things for me." "I am very happy. The staff always ask me what I want and give me choices." "They are wonderful and so good and they work so hard. I am so pleased with them."

Meet the Team (8)
Clem has been part of The Essex West team from the outset. As our longest-standing employee, Clem is equipped with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for her job role. Since beginning her career with Bluebird Care, Clem has held the role of both care assistant and senior care assistant. In these roles, Clem continually showed an amicable approach to all, happy to assist any customer or care assistant in need and carry out any duties required. As well as Clem's wealth of experience she is also extremely well educated; with a (BA) of Science in Health and Social Care, NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, SFE level 3 Palliative Care, EDI level 2 Managing and Safe Handling of Medication, as well as equality and diversity certifications. Clem is a true asset to our team and is always on hand to apply her knowledge to any situation when required.
A family-orientated Mum of three, Joanna Curd, joined Bluebird Care Essex West, just after the pandemic. I manage HR and recruitment with a fantastic team.
Being fairly new to the care industry, my only regret is that I hadn’t started sooner! I now have a rewarding job where every day is different and I get to make a difference in other people's lives.
Michelle joined Bluebird Care Essex West in January 2013.
After her grandmother received homecare support and seeing the difference this made to her Michelle was inspired to have a career change.
Michelle has completed her NVQ L2 in Health and Social Care and following this was promoted to senior care assistant which allowed her to take on more responsibility.
In January 2014 Michelle was further promoted to the care supervisor role, which was a great opportunity to see the other side of the care system.
She enjoys her new role as our Senior Care Supervisor immensely. Michelle now gets to go out to meet new customers, reassure them and explain how homecare works. She can then personalise a care plan which meets all their requirements.
Care assistants work very hard and it is my pleasure to be part of this team. I still enjoy the occasions when I have to go out and give care. Being a care assistant or part of a caring community is a rewarding and satisfying career."
My name is Dawn and I am one of the Supervisors at Bluebird Care Essex West.
I have worked for Bluebird Care since early 2022 starting as a Care Expert before becoming a Supervisor in 2023. I feel privileged to be part of such an amazing team. It feels very rewarding knowing that you make a difference in people’s lives. I truly love my job – the only regret I have is that I did not do this sooner!
I joined Bluebird Care in 2015 and really enjoy my role, of supporting those we care for.
It is important to us all that we dedicate our full-time roles to the management of Live in Care for our customers and our Live in Care assistants, to ensure this aspect of our business is managed effectively and to the highest of quality standards.
Live in Care is classed as a significant purchase, and whilst more cost-effective than a residential setting the management of each individual Live in Care package requires a lot of time and attention. If you would like to learn more about how we manage our Live in Care Package's and support our Live in Care assistant please navigate to our Live in Care FAQ's under the useful information tab on our website.
Whilst we are all well experienced in this service, we never lose sight of the difference we make in our customers ’ lives. Being able to remain safe at home is a dream of many of our customers and their families. We work to make that dream a reality, ensuring that the customer is safe, happy and living their life to their full potential in the familiar surroundings of their own home.
I have been at Bluebird Care since 2014 and I am fortunate to love my job and be a part of an ‘outstanding’ team. My role is more than a “traditional finance” role, which makes it a very rewarding role – I get the opportunity to meet customers and employees and it’s an amazing feeling knowing that as a team we have made a positive difference to someone’s life and been there to support them – may that be our customers, their families or a Bluebird Care employee.
