My mother has had a live-in carer for about seven months. During that time, we've seen them develop an excellent relationship. Her carer is always interested to know more details about my mother, whether it be food likes and dislikes, music, or arts and crafts activities, in order to improve her quality of life.
Since her arrival, the carer has done a superb job of getting the house organised, and helping my mother with her personal care and medication.

I would also highlight the expertise and professionalism of Home Counties Carers, from matching carers and their supervision to handling the day-to-day administrative tasks whilst keeping the family informed.

Hi Ian, thank you so much for your kind words and total support for Home Counties Carers live-in care services. My Mum lives alone, has Alzheimer's and other medical conditions. As a family, we were beginning to struggle to support Mum with her increasing difficulties, whilst coping with our own families work and day to day commitments.
Since January 2022, Home Counties Carers have been providing Mum with daily home care visits, enabling her to live at home as independently as possible, whilst ensuring her daily needs are met.
My concerns about Mum being cared for by strangers soon disappeared, as Home Counties Carers swiftly became a hugely positive part of our lives.
All the carers and coordinators are friendly, loving, patient, caring, professional and go the extra mile to make a difference.
Any requests for changes to Mum's care plan are discussed and dealt with immediately.
Not only do Home Counties Carers care for Mum, they support me and the other family members involved to support Mum.

Mum loves her care visits, sings, laughs, chats and feels happy, safe and secure in Home Counties Carers care.

Home Counties Carers have been looking after my mother-in-law from March 2021 to her recent move to a care home. My mother-in-law's quality of life has been greatly enhanced by the care, attention and kindness shown to her and I know she looked forward each day to her ladies visiting her. Increased dementia has meant she can no longer remain in her own home and Home Counties Carers prepared her for the move and helped to settle her into her new room. They have been outstanding in every way and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them for their help and support over the last eighteen months.

Reply from Matthew Kalupka, Business Manager at Home Counties Carers (Live In and Home Care)

Wow, what a wonderful review, everyone is a winner, thank you. I am so pleased that your mother in law's life has been enhanced, it is our purpose to proactively improve the health and well being of our clients so it's amazing to hear we are fulfilling what drives us. We all hope and wish her the very best in her new home. Thank you again, all the best.

Home Counties Carers Woking team have been excellent this past 10 months visiting my aunt twice daily most of the time, but when needed, this has been increased as necessary to ensure her safety and support at various times. The care team are extremely professional at all times, very reliable and trustworthy and "go the extra mile" when necessary. The company have been easy to contact and responsive to questions and updates. They also perform regular reviews to see if there is anything else they need to be doing or looking at when visiting. My Aunt looks forward to seeing them daily and feels very well cared for.

Home County Carers have looked after my aunt and uncle for the past 4 years. I have found all the staff, two particularly very helpful and professional whenever I needed advice and supplied extremely kind, caring and gentle live-in carers plus relief carers. The carers built up good relationships with my aunt and uncle who became very fond of them. I would highly recommend the company to anyone who needs home care for themselves or their family.

Live in carers from Home Counties Carers (Live In and Home Care) have been looking after my Mum at home since September 2020. The whole team is professional and caring and they have provided some wonderful live-in carers during that time. The carers are kind, considerate and respectful of Mum's wishes and masterful at getting the balance right so Mum retains her independence but has genuine support and physical help to keep her safe and enable her to live happily in her own home. The carers genuinely feel like part of our extended family and have made a huge difference to us all. The office team are always available for support and advice and care not only about Mum as the client but also the carers who work for them. I highly recommend them to anyone who feels their loved ones need some extra support.

Everyone at Home Counties Carers (Live In and Home Care) is just fantastic. From the moment we got in touch with them to arrange support for our mother, the Care Manager and team went above and beyond to make things work.
They show professionalism in everything they do, and are extremely experienced and reliable.
The Care Manager and team in the office will do everything they can to help, and are very flexible and understanding in last minute, unforeseen situations.
They became part of our family and we were extremely appreciative of, and felt lucky to have found them - they have provided such comfort and stability to both our mother, and to us as daughters.
The care team who looked after our mother were wonderful. You can tell that Home Counties Carers have a rigorous employment process as we immediately felt at ease with the carers that we met. They were very professional yet so friendly, respectful and committed to doing the best job they could.

We would highly recommend them!

My mother has now been supported by a live-in carer for about two years, including during the Coronavirus pandemic. This has proved a tremendously successful intervention - my mother is content with both the carers who have worked with her (there have been two recent carers, one currently covering the summer break of the other).
Her main carer is extremely skilled, very gentle, kind and reassuring; she has built an excellent relationship with my mother. The house has been kept very clean, and my mother's physical care has been excellent. The carer's relationship with visiting family members has been warm but professional.
The holiday relief carer also has a good relationship with my mother and provides a high standard of care. Her flower arrangements are beautiful and are appreciated by visiting family. The carer understands her role and is very professional.

We have also been happy with our interactions with the helpful, professional management of Home Counties Carers. Thank you!

My husband has been cared for by Home Counties Carers for 5 years, starting sporadically and for the past two years having live-in care as well as extra daycare.
In every step of the way, Home Counties has always provided the help required as required willingly and professionally.

In the last month, although under increased pressure through Covid restrictions, they never let us down and were always sympathetic to his needs.

The Home Counties Carers team have been looking after Dad for nearly two years and their care and professionalism to Dad and the whole family is fantastic. On a daily basis, we know that Dad is safe in their hands with the varying tasks they undertake and the companionship they give to Dad. They also respond immediately to any changes required and we feel fully supported with any situation that arises.
Recently Dad was taken very poorly and had a spell in hospital - throughout this difficult period the team kept in touch with us and were ready to resume Dad's care and any changes we needed as soon as he came home - nothing was too much trouble.

We genuinely feel that Home Counties Carers is an extension of the loving family care we give to Dad and he is very comfortable to be able to stay in his home and be looked after by the wonderful team around him!

My mum always said that she wanted to live in her own home when she got old.
She is 84 and has been diagnosed with dementia.
We noticed a decline in her ability to cope with some aspects of life, so it was a huge relief when I found Home Counties Carers who have made it possible for mum to live independently in her own home.
From the moment of our first review, I felt relaxed about the whole aspect of care for my mum.
As there is a small team of lovely carers assigned to mum, she sees the same familiar friendly faces regularly.
I have complete confidence in the care provided to mum, which is adapted when necessary to suit her needs.
The staff genuinely care. They know about my mum, her interests, her personality, her family life etc, and mum enjoys chatting to her carers.
Communication and feedback from Home Counties Carers are excellent, and it is never a problem if I need to speak to anyone.

I think the staff are wonderful and the people that directly look after my mum are amazing. Thank you.

I have always been impressed by the standard of care offered by Home Counties Carers and can only commend them further for continuing to provide such a high standard of care during the pandemic. Not only are their carers professional and knowledgeable, but they really care about my Mum and are always seeking to make her days more interesting and enjoyable. As my Mum's dementia progresses, this has become increasingly difficult, but still, nothing is ever too much trouble. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

As a family, we have been very pleased with the care service offered by Home Counties Carers from starting off a year ago with daily care, increasing to sleep-ins and now with live-in care for two elderly parents with differing health needs.
The quality of live-in carers, particularly over the past 6 months, has been excellent. They have demonstrated how they genuinely care for my parents and have made extra efforts regularly to overcome health difficulties and keep my parents happy and healthy and living in their own home. They are intelligent, observant, with a willingness to learn, have a sense of humour and are calm and professional at all times.

The management of the live-in care has been personalised, responsive and excellent.

Home Counties Carers has cared for my mother, now aged 98, for about 10 years. Initially, she was managing quite well on her own and only required two visits a day. Over time she has become bedridden and now requires full-time care. Throughout, Home Counties Carers has been superb in managing what is needed, and always keeping me informed and involved. They made sure they knew my mother's preferences. Their approach is very professional but you can feel the care and empathy. They have dealt with COVID and its difficulties in their usual efficient manner, making sure all the new control measures were adhered to. Without exception all my mother's carers, and she has had quite a few over the years, have been kind, friendly and efficient.

The care that Home Counties Carers have given granny has been fantastic. The carers are all professional, kind and generous with granny. They are consistently on top of any developments or changes in her care needs. Responsive to every element of care when required. Extremely comprehensive in addressing covid, and constantly working to meet the needs of changing guidelines and goverment advice. The regular care reviews are very important to us and the Home Countues Carers staff are so keen to take on board every small detail about their clients to ensure they get the best care. They make the effort to find out granny’s favourite foods and cook fresh healthy meals every day. They also know what she likes to watch on tv and show how much they care with little touches such as placing bird feeders where granny can see them and putting fresh flowers in her room. We couldn’t wish for better care for granny.

Home Counties Carers is a wonderful, on the doorstep to us, care agency which we have used for over 2 years now, gaining support and care for my mother.
This has involved moving from short, part-time "pop-in" care visits to full-time live-in care. Familiarity between carer and client is well regarded and retained whenever possible which is important and we have now just experienced a wonderful "handover" from one live in carer to another, for the first time, to cover a carer's holiday.
The management and the team have a lovely understanding of people and evidently, the care and concern they have for their staff is notable.
I do not envy the job of the lovely person who does the rota's so well...always a positive and accommodating voice at the end of a phone when tweaks need to be made. Thank you! The staff are always available for a chat in person or on the phone when there is anything to discuss or work out.

I highly recommend Home Counties Carers.

We are all absolutely delighted with the standard of care and the service that Home Counties provides. Over the two years that they have been providing 24-hour care for my parents we have been continually impressed with the carers themselves, all of whom have been kind, sensitive, flexible and extremely competent, and with the very obliging and friendly attitude of all the staff in the office. On the few occasions when a change of carer has been necessary Home Counties have worked hard to find a new carer who fits in with our family. The continuity of care that is provided has been a major benefit, with each carer staying with us for several months. This has enabled very good relationships to be built up between us and the carer and has been particularly important for my mother who does not adapt well to change. All in all, we would highly recommend Home Counties Carers for their professionalism, their genuine concern for the needs of the client, and for their approachability.
