TayCare at Home

TayCare provide a superb service for my mum. She could not live independently without them and she looks forward to each visit in the day. The staff are very friendly and carry out their duties with the upmost professionalism. Brilliant care! Thanks to all the care staff and management - could not manage without you!

I would highly recommend TayCare services, professional, punctual, big on infection control. Service tailored to the individuals needs with dignity, friendly, approachable, nothing too much bother, great communication between care provider and service user and family. Supportive of care users needs as well as the family.

TayCare has been providing wonderful care for my mum for the past eight years. What has always impressed me most is the personal attention to detail and the genuine care shown by her caregivers. I lived with Mum for three months in 2022 and had the opportunity to see their work firsthand. The kindness, attentiveness and warmth they brought to her care was truly wonderful. I'm very grateful to TayCare and would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Regular reviews are held to allow on going discussion about what is best for our Mother. The opportunity is also there to contact Taycare at Home anytime and we receive an immediate response.

If you like microwave meals (they dont do any cooking) and just getting the basic treatment but continually being told "you have 2 minutes left" while tapping at a watch, then this is the company for you. By the time we left them, things had deteriorated drastically and if we could have left quicker we would have. I could list lots of issues, but safe to say, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Everyone who visits me from TayCare is very kind. I appreciate not just the care they provide but also that they take time to talk to me about my dad and theirs. They are full of fun.

My husband had emergency surgery and having heard very good reports of TayCare contacted them immediately for help when he came home. Caroline was extremely helpul and even with ridiculously short notice manged to give me help when my husband left hospial after less than a week. All the girls were professional. respectful and smiling. Caroline's medical knowledge is vast and very helpful as nowadays you are out of hospital very quickly and little after care or advice given. I would certainly use them again if help was needed

My husband has Alzhiemers and Vascular Dementia. He is now incontinent and we have appreciated daily visits from the carers at TayCare at Home. They have all behaved in a totally professional manner and shown respect and dignity whilst caring for my husband.

Management very high standard from pre-contract to end of contract. Communication, follow-up, scheduling all excellent. Staff well trained, very good time keeping, completed agreed duties to a high standard. Respectful of user's dignity and encouraged continued independence. Highly recommend.

Some of the girls came to mums funeral service which was much appreciated.

Taycare have been Mum's carers for seven years. She loved them, they treated her with respect and compassion and enabled her to maintain her dignity even when under palliative care. Because of them, we were able to keep mum at home until the very end. We can never thank them enough, and we could not have done it without them. All through the years, they provided more care as she needed it. She had absolute trust and confidence in them. They became her friends - and ours too. And they were always on time.

Mum was able to spend the last 20 months living in her own home due to the excellent carers from Taycare. All the carers treated mum with the greatest of respect and she so looked forward to their visits and especially the chat! We had good exchange of information through the extensive visit notes that were shared on the app. This was very helpful as mum's cognitive ability declined. All staff were genuinely interested in improving mum's quality of life and couldn't have been more helpful. We recently had to make the decision to move mum into residential care and are so grateful to the staff at Taycare for facilitating mum to live semi independently for as long as she did . I would highly recommend Taycare as an excellent and trustworthy care company .

Sadly mum passed away peacefully recently but she only ever talked with gratitude and affection for her daily visits from Taycare's team. Thank you for making her last days in her own home a positive and happy time...

Had TayCare since January 2024 to provide an hour of assistance to Mum in the mornings helping with showering, getting dressed, checking she had lunch available, medication had been taken and that she had plenty of fluids for drinking during the day. All the carers were of a very high standard. They took to Mum very well and she responded to them and looked on them as 'her girls'. There was a relationship with each one, she got to know their backgrounds, their stories and their hobbies. In turn they adored her and it was with great sadness that, due to her mobility issues, we decided to look after her ourselves which meant moving away from Dundee.

Can't rate TayCare highly enough, their care staff were just the tonic Mum needed at the right time.

What can we say about TayCare. Absolutely amazing staff, professional, caring and just a joy to have in the house. They have looked after our father (who passed suddenly) and continued to care for our stepmum. Due to the decline of our stepmum's health it was unsafe for her to stay at home. TayCare helped my family in the most difficult of times, we honestly don't know what we would have done without them. They treated both parents with the respect and care and also went out their way to assist and keep us updated on everything that was going on. Nothing was too much for the staff who provided the care and the amazing staff behind the scenes. Honestly can't highly recommend Taycare enough. 10/10 perfect.

I cannot rate TayCare highly enough for the exceptional care they gave my Mum for the past 4 years. The Managers are really generous with their advice and extremely knowledgeable, and the carers themselves were kind, competent, lovely people, who were genuinely interested in my Mum. We were so happy to have them looking after Mum the way they did before she went into a Care Home. Truly an outstanding Care Company.

Started using TayCare at Home in January who provide 1 hour per day assistance for my mother-in-law. This service means she is showered most days, given help to dress, and do the physical exercises recommended by her physician. They check she has something available for lunch and tea, make sure she has adequate liquids to drink and make her bed. She enjoys the interaction with the carers and looks forward to their visits. This service has given her a tremendous lift physically and mentally and can only be highly recommended.

My mum had carers twice daily for a week following her cataract operation. She was feeling anxious about the post-op period so having the carers come in was a huge help with heating up meals and light household chores and knowing someone would be popping in twice daily eased the worry. She received excellent care and was treated with respect and dignity. It helped her confidence and she enjoyed the chats. It also put my mind at ease (I live in London). She felt very well looked after and we would not hesitate to use TayCare at Home again. Thank you.
