The staff were brilliant, professional, polite, understanding and all had a sense of humour which is always a good thing in our opinion, they spent time talking and listening to my mother as well as making her meals and carrying out their duties.
My mother really appreciated their efforts as I also did even when at times Mum could be difficult.
The manager who I spoke to personally and by email was always very helpful and professional.
If for some reason the nursing home doesn’t work out for her, TayCare are the people I would want to look after her.
Thank you.
Thanks to TayCare, my mother was able to stay in the familiar surroundings and in the comfort of her home.
I was at home for five weeks while the team looked after my mother and I could see first-hand how professional, positive and uplifting their visits were. My mum got to know the team very well and they bonded with each other.
When there were concerns about my mother's health, the team was always proactive and quick to inform us, the district nurses and the surgery.
There was a family feel about TayCare and my mother loved the stories that the carers told her and they also were interested in my mother's stories and got to know the family well.
Two of the carers turned up for my mother's funeral in the middle of busy working days and I was happy to see them, to thank them and to praise them in front of my extended family.
Heartfelt thanks from all my family.
The carers have been very reliable and helpful. It has been so reassuring to know her medication and needs are being cared for daily. The timings of her visits are perfect to give her day routine and work around her meal times too.
My mum received exceptional care and looked forward to her daily visits from her carers. It was more a social need by Mum as she liked to keep her independence for as long as possible. She loved the chat she had with the carers and it was very important to her.
Extremely happy with the care my wife has received from all of the carers. I have no complaints whatsoever. My wife, who has dementia, has taken to them well. Long may it continue.
Especially, to the lovely young carer for her quick reaction when Mum had a hypo and nearly went into a coma. But thanks a million to that staff member for raising the alarm, Mum is now safely back at home.
Mum has been cared by the team at TayCare at Home since breaking her shoulder more than twelve months ago. Initial response, engagement and care plan were all excellent, allowing Mum to rehabilitate at home and retain her independence. Mum has had further health setbacks including a long stay in hospital in September which required a review of her needs. This was done seamlessly with TayCare supervisors engaging and coordinating with social services to put in place a revised package of care which is now subject to ongoing review to ensure Mum's needs are met. The TayCare team also supported me through this journey which I very much appreciated. I have not encountered one person in this organisation that is not willing to help and support my mother's needs, this extends from new start carers to management. Well done and my heartfelt thanks to you all.
I have been very impressed with the care team and all the help they provide for my mother. They have been punctual and efficient in all they do. It has been a great help to me and all the family and we greatly appreciate it.
TayCare at Home looked after my mum for four months this year and I cannot praise them highly enough, as the manager and her team far exceeded my expectations of social care. The team attended to my mum four times a day, which meant that she was only alone for a few short hours at any one time. They administered medication, helped my mum to wash and dress and prepared all her meals and snacks throughout the day, all the while remaining friendly, compassionate and above all, professional. They would even do laundry and wash up without being asked, which was a big plus. I wholeheartedly recommend TayCare.
We dealt with Taycare for three years. It is a professional well-run company. Management are always available to discuss any details or advice required. Very helpful and understanding when hospital visits or admissions occur. The carers are prompt, cheerful and chatty to my husband and myself. Worked to a routine but always aware if changes were required. They respected privacy and my husband always appreciated the care and friendship he received. The management and carers provide a service in an efficient and caring way. The family and myself are grateful to all at Taycare for their help and support over the past three years and enabled my husband to be at home as his health deteriorated. I would recommend Taycare as an excellent company.
All the girls who have attended to my wife have been brilliant. Very patient and compassionate and well worthy of a five-star review. They have taken away some of the stress I was experiencing when having to look after my wife who has dementia. This makes a big difference, believe me.
She wanted to remain in her own home and reluctantly realised that she would require assistance to achieve this. She found the level of care provided by TayCare to be valuable. The carers were reliable, professional and very caring.
I found the manager and office staff to be professional, understanding and I could rely upon them in times of need and in an emergency. I could rely on their assistance and I was treated with courtesy and understanding.
During this terrible period in all our issues, I was lucky when I came out of the hospital that my care package was with TayCare. Caring and professional - doing everything with feeling and love, not only for me but for my wife too. We feel part of a lovely family. Thank you, TayCare.
My hair gets washed as necessary, also feet washed and cream applied.
At 7 pm the carers apply my creams and nightwear is put on. They write in my care plan at the end of each visit.
My stepdad took a sudden stroke a few years back and has had difficulty accepting he is left with after-effects. TayCare visit him twice weekly to support him with showers which are done to his liking, giving him privacy and dignity where suitable, this is super important to him as he doesn’t want to feel like he’s old or has a disability, “just has extra challenges” he says. Sometimes, he declines showers on visits days and instead of leaving, the staff use this time productively, finding other areas to assist him with, from changing his bedding to peeling vegetables, ready for my mum when she gets home from work, even down to chatting with and listening to him. These little extras give my stepdad the sense that he is helping contribute in the home, as well as noticing that this has made a big difference in his social and emotional wellbeing. Excellent all-round service and care staff that are highly skilled and valued by us all. We couldn’t do it without TayCare’s support.
Taycare provided care services for my Mum in her home for almost three years. During that time, it was a big reassurance to me to know that they would always be visiting, even in bad weather and during the winter. I also knew that I could phone them to discuss any emergencies or changes, which might be needed, to care plans. The friendly care, supervisory and Management staff all had attention to detail and were accessible and responsive. If I had to choose a company again I would choose Taycare. They are big enough to respond to crises and changing needs but small enough to be focused on the needs of the individual. My Mum's experience, and our own, made them a company worthwhile choosing.
My dad and, in particular, myself were both in desperate need of carers coming in to help us, and it was a big decision to make and to accept help. We have had carers coming in from TayCare for over a week now, and value the high quality of care and that we both had from all the carers from TayCare. We have both felt so comfortable and secure with the carers that we have had, and already, they seem more like friends than carers and have gone out of their way to help us as much as they can, in so many ways. They have now become an invaluable support to myself and my dad, and we don't regret our decision in the slightest. It has taken a huge about of pressure off of my shoulders especially, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tay CAre and all their staff to anyone who was looking for help.
The service given by TayCare has been excellent. They looked after and cared for my mother exceptionally well over the years, and enabled her to live at home for as long as possible. The staff who came into her home were professional, kind, emphatic and caring, and always had my mothers health and wellbeing a top priority. And my mother grew very fond of them all. I cannot express just how grateful I am to all at TayCare, and I would highly recommend them as a five-star care provider!
I can't praise or thank enough everyone at TayCare for all their care, kindness, support, and above all, the patience they showed us. As my mum struggles with her personal care due to her dementia. Highly recommend; I wish I’d sought their assistance earlier. Thank you.
We approached TayCare at Home on the recommendation of an existing client and someone involved in the care field. Research showed that they have a positive approach to staff education and welfare, which is important to me. They also took time to talk to me and my dad (who has dementia) to find out exactly what we would like them to do, and they were also able to make valuable suggestions (and get my dad on board - no mean task). For the past few months, they have provided an evening visit as arranged, but have also been able to help out in an emergency when our directly employed personal care assistants were off due to COVID. My dad loves all the carers who have visited. We both appreciate advance notice of who will be coming to see him, and when (emailed and posted out the previous week). Dad reports that the carers have been friendly and chatty (which is important to him) and have also been very reliable. As his daughter, I appreciate the peace of mind. Would recommend wholeheartedly.
