TayCare at Home

TayCare have enabled me to have mum at home and give her a good quality of life. The team are fantastic in the way they care for her as they have got know her really well. They cope with the ups and downs of caring for someone with Dementia and without them I would have to stop working which I don’t want to. I have recommended TayCare to friends in similar situations and they too are very happy with the service.

Care providers all arrive in good time. They always inquire how I am and how I have been over the previous day. They allow me to choose what my requirements are for that morning. Either a full shower and hair wash or a body wash. My only comment is about the considerable number of different carers who have attended to my needs over the past months. In my opinion, this results in a lack of continuity and customer carer relationship.

TayCare at Home staff are ‘stars’ providing a caring and professional service. With an emphasis on clients’ practical, social and emotional needs, TayCare has been key in supporting our family for 3 years. Everyone – director, office staff, care manager and individual carers - has enabled my mother to remain at home for much longer than we thought possible. We were able to take some much-needed breaks in the knowledge that TayCare would cope with issues in our absence. Unfortunately, my mother now has a degenerative illness and needs full-time nursing care. TayCare supported her in hard times before diagnosis. Hospital visits to my mother and sensitive support to the family facing difficult decisions for the future helped us cope. Sadly, this means our relationship with TayCare has ended, but I cannot stress enough how much their professional, compassionate and, above all, kind care of my frail mother is highly valued. TayCare is the gold standard; I recommend the company most warmly.

Having the care this service provides allows my mother to stay in her own home. This is extremely important to her. The staff are reliable and kind. I know I will be contacted quickly about any issues that have arisen which gives me the space to carry on my own life.

TayCare staff and management have provided exceptional service to my mother over several years allowing her to live happily in her own home. They took over when the previous care organisation was failing to perform. From the initial meeting, they have been extremely professional and caring, tailoring the service for specific needs and requests. At the start, they gently introduced their more-professional ways. The improvement and the effect on my mother were startling. Staff are always willing, able, interested and enthusiastic. They show respect, treating the client with dignity and the highest quality of care at the times agreed. TayCare interfaced well with all parties including the local authority. As our family lives hundreds of miles away TayCare have managed daily life contacting us if required. When client confusion and ill health made things complex their professionalism and high standards continued to improve the quality of all our lives. I cannot praise TayCare enough.
