TayCare at Home

Taycare provided care services for my Mum in her home for almost three years. During that time, it was a big reassurance to me to know that they would always be visiting, even in bad weather and during the winter. I also knew that I could phone them to discuss any emergencies or changes, which might be needed, to care plans. The friendly care, supervisory and Management staff all had attention to detail and were accessible and responsive. If I had to choose a company again I would choose Taycare. They are big enough to respond to crises and changing needs but small enough to be focused on the needs of the individual. My Mum's experience, and our own, made them a company worthwhile choosing.

My dad and, in particular, myself were both in desperate need of carers coming in to help us, and it was a big decision to make and to accept help. We have had carers coming in from TayCare for over a week now, and value the high quality of care and that we both had from all the carers from TayCare. We have both felt so comfortable and secure with the carers that we have had, and already, they seem more like friends than carers and have gone out of their way to help us as much as they can, in so many ways. They have now become an invaluable support to myself and my dad, and we don't regret our decision in the slightest. It has taken a huge about of pressure off of my shoulders especially, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tay CAre and all their staff to anyone who was looking for help.

The service given by TayCare has been excellent. They looked after and cared for my mother exceptionally well over the years, and enabled her to live at home for as long as possible. The staff who came into her home were professional, kind, emphatic and caring, and always had my mothers health and wellbeing a top priority. And my mother grew very fond of them all. I cannot express just how grateful I am to all at TayCare, and I would highly recommend them as a five-star care provider!

We approached TayCare at Home on the recommendation of an existing client and someone involved in the care field. Research showed that they have a positive approach to staff education and welfare, which is important to me. They also took time to talk to me and my dad (who has dementia) to find out exactly what we would like them to do, and they were also able to make valuable suggestions (and get my dad on board - no mean task). For the past few months, they have provided an evening visit as arranged, but have also been able to help out in an emergency when our directly employed personal care assistants were off due to COVID. My dad loves all the carers who have visited. We both appreciate advance notice of who will be coming to see him, and when (emailed and posted out the previous week). Dad reports that the carers have been friendly and chatty (which is important to him) and have also been very reliable. As his daughter, I appreciate the peace of mind. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

They often go above and beyond to make sure he is safe; physically and also mentally. This has been especially appreciated during this weird Covid19 world when Dad has struggled more than usual.

My mother is delighted with all the care and attention she gets from TayCare. The girls are all super and it is a big relief to my sisters and myself knowing she is being looked after to a high standard in the morning.

I cannot praise this care service and it's manager and staff highly enough. They are absolutely brilliant, professional, caring, compassionate, thoughtful, willing to go the extra mile when needed (eg staying beyond allocated visit time in an emergency), willing to spend time meeting with you to discuss your loved one's needs and any concerns you have. You won't find a better care service, I promise you. Staff are competent, well trained and absolutely trustworthy.

Excellent caring service given by all staff. Friendly, cheerful, efficient, always giving full attention to my mother and respectful of her situation. Excellent time-keeping and helpful knowing which carers are due to each appointment. Excellent back-up from the office staff and the manager. Quality assurance visits made regularly.

Taycare have made a huge difference to my elderly aunt and uncle who wish to remain at home. With carers visiting to help, they have maintained a certain amount of independence, with backup from Taycare.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always on time which is important as they help to get my brother from the swimming pool after his disabled swimming group. Without the help from Taycare he would not be able to continue an activity that he enjoys.

My mother is 96 years of age and has Alzheimer's. I thought as she has always been so independent she would not accept carers coming into her house, but she says she is being very well looked after. She describes the staff as "they are all nice". As a daughter (nearly aged 70) I find this service invaluable, knowing that mum is cared for very well, has had her medication and has had her evening meal. Staff monitor things and the attention to detail is excellent.

I find TayCare at Home to be a very professional caring service putting the needs of the client and family first. They take the time to form a good relationship with the client and family and interact well into the home environment.

I am very with the care I have received. All the staff have been friendly, courteous and have treated me with dignity. I would recommend this company to others in my position.

We have been using TayCare for 2 years now. It was a difficult decision for my mother to accept but TayCare have been great. They provide my mother with personal care, help around the house but also the social aspects of carer visits have been an unexpected and enormous benefit to her. She would not still be living in her own home without TayCare and I would definitely recommend TayCare.

My mum has MS and is in bed 24/7 and has been received her care from TayCare since December 2017. I am very impressed. The staff are polite, tidy, good timekeepers, give my mum choices with meals, clothes etc. I think most importantly they don't rush out when they have done what they have to do, they sit and chat with my mum for the time they have allocated. I live 400 miles away and work full time as a carer doing domestic care so only see my mum once or twice a year. The last two service providers I have not been happy with. I will go home a lot happier this time, knowing that my mum is in good hands and is being well cared for.

All staff are caring and considerate, very observant of any changes in client's health (quick to inform GP and family). Manager, herself, was always aware of client's needs and made regular personal visits. Staff maintained a very high standard of personal hygiene and bathroom/kitchen cleanliness for the client. Good communication between family/ Carers. Without such good help, we would have been unable to look after my parent at home for so long. They gave us peace of mind which is very important for all concerned.

Carers are always on time and do what we ask them to do and ask how we are. Very friendly.
