Overall Experience

I have been recently pleased with the care and support my mother receives. The carers are consistently professional, kind and compassionate. Their helpers have made a real difference to her daily life. It is a great help to me knowing she is in capable and caring hands, which gives peace of mind. I would not hesitate to recommend the lovely team who look after her. They are all lovely.

Overall Experience

My brother has carers twice on one day a week. It is working well, personal care, meals, companionship & giving medication are all completed as agreed. My brother enjoys the visits & is well cared for. The office team are always friendly, helpful & quick to respond to changes in current arrangements.

Mum and Dad have had support now for the last 8 years. It is lovely to get to know your 'team' and not have different people all the time. The carers have been lovely, so kind, caring and accommodating for each day's issues that greet them. Have been able to completely trust them and have never had any problems. It's reassuring to know they care.

Home Instead have been supporting my Mum and Dad for a number of years now and they have been excellent. My parents are very independent and were reluctant to have help at all but struggling to keep up with household tasks. The service was initially just cleaning and keeping an eye on them as I live some distance away. My mother had a prolonged stay in hospital in 2022. Home Instead provided daily care on her discharge which prevented any relapse and gave me reassurance. This was done at short notice. Support was stepped down as she improved and recently she has had cognitive decline which has meant she needs daily reminders about medication and this has been arranged within days.
Communication is excellent. My parents are shown respect by managers and support workers and we get a rota telling us who will be visiting and any changes.

It has given me peace of mind and enabled my parents to remain as independent as possible because they have a reliable compassionate safety net.

Although Home Instead address all the needs in their scope, this is reflected in the cost. It just depends on whether you feel your needs are worth the cost.

Overall Experience

I find that all the girls are kind and pleasant, clean and well turned out and do what they can to help me get ready for my day. I have usually had my breakfast and am ready for a shower which they help me with, dressing and feet attended to. They will prepare lunch if needed and go shopping and are willing to do anything I need without making me feel rushed. Sometimes they are the only person I will speak to until the evening. They will ring the doctor if needed.

I have been having help for over a month now and I find it so helpful, I have come to really feel very cared for and find everything that is done for me is so good. I do feel so much better than I used to. The ladies are so caring and thoughtful, I can get some stuff done which I can no longer do.

Overall Experience
Home Instead have been very good in providing personalised care and support to my mum since Febuary 2020. This has taken various different forms of care from companionship, helping with her meals and medication, assisting with her having a bath, taking her to afternoons at the local cafe, accompanying her on a walk near her house etc. The staff are all very different with their own strengths and weaknesses and own special skills and seem to be very caring towards my mum.

I have also found the communication always very good between Home Instead and myself with a view to organising and managing my mum's care.

I am so pleased I chose Home Instead for Mum. I know I can relax knowing that she is being cared for properly when I am not there. I love that everyone is so lovely and really do care about Mum, communication with the team is great I am always made aware of any concerns or if anything is needed. It's a load off my mind that I don't need to worry about her.

I’m not one to normally write these things, but I feel compelled to write this as I feel Home Instead deserves recognition for everything they do, I feel like I have my friend back.
My friend's quality of life has improved since the care professionals started coming up with greater confidence and less anxiety, therefore I can't recommend home instead highly enough. It's like receiving a visit from extended, unrelated family, she explains.

In our conversation today, she mentioned that Home Instead goes above and beyond in terms of the care they offer, from the office staff to the healthcare professionals. Additionally, even on short notice, they strive to modify the care they give.

I can highly recommend Home Instead. The Caregivers to my elderly mum were kind, compassionate and caring and most importantly provided the care and support my mum needed in the final years of her life. I want to thank everyone who played a part in helping her in her last stages of life.
The staff in the office were always so very helpful and professional in providing the level of support mum needed. They were very flexible and the Caregivers went above and beyond everything I expected of them.

I have recommended Home Instead to friends and family if and when they have a family member who needs extra help, support and companionship in their home.

My husband was in the hospital for two weeks in August, then was discharged home for 6 weeks rehabilitation by a care agency, arranged through Social Services. The standard of personal care given by their caregivers was good but they did not encourage my husband to move independently. After 8 weeks in bed, his muscles were very weak. Home Instead caregivers then returned - they have cared for my husband for 7 years. Within two weeks of their return, his muscle strength was improving because they gave him confidence and had the patience to allow him to do what he could still do although he is blind and has complex health needs. These needs are always managed to a high standard by the team of carers who come in pairs four times every day. The administrative and management teams have the same standards. We both appreciate this very much. Through their dedication, I am supported so that husband can be cared for in his own home and to date has not needed to become a resident in a care home.
