I have been overwhelmed by the support and care both my Mum and I have been given by Avelo since 2022. Whilst I was unwell this year my Mum was very poorly too !! Julie immediately put in place excellent care day and night which relieved the pressure from my husband and myself . As my Mum is registered
blind Julie also sought the carers that my Mum knew well and she felt confident being with. Everyone that we have met from Avelo are courteous , caring and go an extra step to ensure my Mum's needs are catered for . We are very grateful to Julie and her team

Avelo started taking care of dad almost a year ago and from the beginning the emphasis is on 'care'. The staff all really care about dad's needs, helping to maintian his lifestyle with as much dignity, and laughter, as possible. The professional and practical approach they apply is as if they were looking
after their own relative.
They got to know dad and his preferences quickly, they respect him, and chat to him as they go about their tasks.They explain what they are doing for him to him and me, and advise me on anything unusual immediately, providing a suggested solution. Their knowledge is of the highest standard, nothing is too much trouble.
I know I can rely on them to care for dad when I am not around with the utmost kindness, making him feel as comfortable as possible and reassuring me along the way. I feel very supported by everyone at Avelo, knowing that my dad is completely safe in their care, something I value very highly.
I would highly recommend them for your loved one.

Really pleased we found Avelo Care for my mum. It's been a great experience right from the first contact with the management team. They are very thorough as are the day to day assistants. They are extremely caring and are providing an excellent thoughtful service.

It's nice to have somewhere to go on the outings. I really liked the Christmas panto. They help me with the cleaning and keep my home nice, even though they are working, we still have a chat.

Since appointing Avelo Care to undertake my mother's care needs a few months ago, they have been excellent. The standard of care provided has been exceptional. The care from Avelo have been outstanding, supporting me at a hospital appointment. The carer stayed with me. reassured me and explained everything to me when I didn't understand the doctors. I had to be moved, she followed me in her care and stayed with me until 4 am and made sure I was ok. They are
my lifeline and all I have. They look after me very well.

The carers that visit my mum provide an excellent service. I know that my mum is being sensitively supported to continue living at home and I am kept informed of any changes in her health. I have found the service from Avelo to be professional and supportive and easy to liaise with.

Living alone in my 95th year with severe balance problems, there are many things I can't do for myself. I've also suffered from anxiety. While I have family in the area who bring my shopping and deal with major household needs, they have their own, younger family and other commitments. So it's a relief
to know that my Avelo carers will be here for me with a smile each day to take care of minor jobs and see that I have a meal. I also know from experience that further care will be arranged for me at short notice should I need it. All of which makes my life so much easier.

Carers from Avelo come in a minimum of 4 times a week to provide care and assistance for my elderly mother, who has severe mobility issues. This eases some of the burden on me, as the main carer in the household.
We've been using Avelo's services for in excess of a year, and have been really pleased
with the care and attention that is given to Mum. The girls who come in are always friendly, helpful and receptive to any requests. It is never too much bother to add on short notice changes or additions to the schedule, and any communication is transparent and any concerns (of which there have been very few) have been addressed immediately.
Overall, have been really pleased with Avelo's assistance to date.

We've used Avelo for around seven years. Initially, I really appreciated their can-do attitude in the way they quickly arranged for someone to help my mother at her home. (I was abroad at the time and couldn't get back to the UK quickly enough to help her myself on that occasion.) We have used Avelo
ever since. From a practical perspective I find them professional, reliable and flexible when needed (helping my mother with visits to healthcare appointments etc). I know that mum really appreciated the outings / trips to garden centres, cafes, etc that Avelo organised. On a personal level I find the staff are decent genuine caring people who do take a real interest in their clients above and beyond their contractual obligations.

From the onset of being cared for by the current agency. I have felt that i am dealt with the understanding of my needs. I have always been dealt with in the kindest of ways, If at anytime I have a problem I know that it will be dealt with. Quite honestly they are the best that I have ever used.

Avelo Care never cease to amaze me at the lengths they will go to to provide the highest level of care to my aunt. At times my aunt has had to be admitted to hospital and being housebound is unable to do any housework for herself. Bring in team Avelo and they take the opportunity to do a nice tidy
up so that my aunts room is immaculate for when she returns to help to lift her spirits.
Avelo carers always give my aunt excellent care, keeping her dignity when carrying out personal care and keeping her company with a chat and a cup of tea if they happen to finish up a bit earlier so that my aunt still gets her full hour allocated. My cousin who lives with my aunt recently started work after being unemployed for the past year. My aunt was unsettled but Avelo rallied round and helped her with her anxiety. Without Avelo my cousin would not be able to work. Thank you to such a wonderful team of carers even us relatives would not be without you. You really are the best :)

I have been with Avelo for over 6 months. The carers are excellent, they do not arrive as if they want to leave as soon as possible. They are helpful with personal care, housework. Nothing is too much for them; they do what I want, not what they want. Would recommend this Agency without any problem

I'm so grateful for the care, compassion and support at one of the most difficult times of my life. Every single person who supported me with the care of my loved one was superb. The words 'person centred care' are bandied around a great deal, but honestly, every visit was meaningful and kind and

Shaun Parr

Shaun is responsible for the day-to-day operations and service delivery at Avelo Care to ensure we meet our regulatory requirements as well as maintain our status as the care provider and care employer of choice in East Kent. Shaun is the CQC Responsible Individual for Avelo Care Services


Shaun has over 15 years of experience in the care sector, in roles mainly focussing on quality assurance, compliance and operational management. Shaun has worked at the Board level for some of the largest homecare providers in the UK and more recently has been supporting smaller organisations in consultancy and turnaround roles, achieving high levels of success in each of those appointments.


Shaun holds a Human Resources Degree as well as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.

A mixture of systems, finance and business design is a real passion for Steph, supporting the day-to-day running of the business behind the scenes.

Nikki has worked in the Care sector for 12 years. Before joining Avelo Care, she managed 2 Day Centres, the first a secure Dementia Unit with up to 20 clients visiting daily, and the second a Social Day Centre that catered for 60 clients daily.


Nikki is responsible for the onboarding of new clients, right through from the initial enquiries, to setting up the care package and introductions within the wider care team.


Nikki holds an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care.

Rebecca joined Avelo in 2017 as a community carer, progressing into her current role as a Care Quality Officer in June 2024. Rebecca supports the operational team and completes quality assurance, reviews, care plan updates and compliance checks to ensure our service delivery is the highest standard it can be.


Rebecca has completed her level 4 diploma in adult health and social care and is also a trainer for manual handling and mental health well-being.
