I would just like to express my gratitude to Avelo Care and staff. With their help and guidance I was able to choose a plan that suited me. The staff were brilliant and easy to talk to in what they could offer. I really appreciated the care and support that gave me back my independence. Well done.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, we were delighted to help you get back up and on your feet. We will share your feedback with the team
I was really struggling, without any help to look after my mother who's condition was deteriorating, she has dementia and Alzheimer's.
Carer Support put emergency respite package for me with Avelo Care.
This was a game changer for me and my mum. Avelo were so good that I extended the care package.
All of the the staff at Avelo are fantastic, really professional and very caring, as well as this they all bring something very special, there wonderful personalities. Its heartwarming to see how they interact with mum. I have got to know 'the girls' so well now, they feel like family.
Thank you and everybody at Avleo, you have been a real life-line for me and great for my mum.
Thank you so much for your review, it is very much appreciated and will be shared with our team. We are pleased that we have been able to support you both.
We found that all the staff were very caring and did a great job looking after Dad. Making sure Mum was ok and always there for a chat, very reassuring for the family when we couldn't be there. Visits from management making sure all was working well.
I found the carers were professional in every way. All of the who came to look after my husband were excellent, to get him up in the mornings, shower, shave, washing him, if he asked, nothing was too much. They put him to bed at night.
Thank you so much for your lovely review which we will share with the team. We all send our best wishes to you and your family. Kind regards,
Avelo Care were there for me in my hour of need. I am a main carer for my Mum and desperately needed a break. They arranged care for my Mum within one week at the most busiest time of the year a week before Christmas. The carers, the office staff and managers were wonderful, very understanding, supportive, extremely flexible and adapt very quickly to all situations. Thank you Avelo Care for being there.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, we were very happy to support you and Mum. We are delighted you were both able to benefit from the service and you had a well deserved break.
Avelo were there for me when I first moved to the area. Their weekly sitting service enables my husband and I time together, knowing my dad is in capable hands. No task is too big or too small. From the carers to those who work in the back office, I have found everyone I have come in contact with to be friendly, approachable and professional.
From my first contact, Avelo Care gave me more help and support than anyone else. Changed call-out times, especially at short notice, providing extra call-outs when I was ill. All staff, office and carers are kind and helpful. My partner has dementia, carers are so kind to him, he loved them all. We had trips and an art class, so well organised. Carers took him on afternoon trips when I was ill, their idea.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, it was a pleasure to support you both. I'm so pleased you were able to join us on our outings and create some lovely memories during some difficult times for you. The painting was my personal favourite, I learnt so much from (client) that day, he may have had dementia but he certainly knew his stuff and how to showcase his talents!
From our first meeting with the Client Care Manager, Mum and I felt comfortable and safe. The team who supported Mum were first-rate - kind, considerate, thoughtful, and positive. When Mum needed extra help, she and the team were flexible and reliable, always available to offer both words of advice or practical help.
I can't thank the team enough. Everyone we have dealt with from the office staff, the carers, and the management team has been professional, kind, and above all caring. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for your review, it is very much appreciated and will be shared with our team.
My father, a naturally shy and reserved man, came to love them all. I always felt he was in such good hands. Avelo went above and beyond to provide extra care at moments of crisis, I can't recommend them highly enough.
Thank you so much for your review, it is very much appreciated and will be shared with our team. We hope Dad will be happy in his new home.
During a very difficult period for our family when my mother was end of life, care was arranged for both parents. The staff as well as management were extremely supportive and responsive to both their needs. When my mother went into a care home Avelo adapted amazingly to the situation by continuing to provide care for my stepfather including supporting him to visit my mother 3 times a week. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and experienced which was important to us as my step father with a diagnosis of frontal temporal dementia was extremely resistant to receiving any type of support. Over a very short period, they built a relationship with him and he allowed them to help, developing a good rapport with him. If I had any questions or issues, management were very attentive in resolving them immediately, explaining and getting back to me as well as making changes. I was reassured by their response and that whatever needed attention they took seriously to provide the best care.
They are the best care agency I have had the absolute pleasure of dealing with, with their sole aim to ensure that the people they are caring for have the best care possible.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank managment and the whole team from the bottom of my heart for everything they have done for my mum, they will be missed very much.
All the best.
Avelo's team began with a few hours a week, taking Dad out for walks, coffee and chats. These visits extended to weekends, giving me breaks to visit my girlfriend in London. Without local family or friends, I was reassured knowing I could always call Avelo for advice. They offered a personal touch, with face-to-face catch-ups with staff who had similar experiences. The ladies developed a strong relationship with Dad, making their visits the highlight of his week. It was a great relief knowing that, if I was away, someone I trusted was looking after my dad. Truly wonderful people, I hope only the best for everyone who helped my family during this very difficult period.
Alec, thank you for the lovely review. It was a pleasure to support you and Dad. He is such an interesting man and we have all learnt a lot about art, literature and Margate history. I hope he is happy in his new home.
The manager and her team at Avelo have provided care for my aunt for a couple of years since she suffered a stroke. Initially, coming in a few times a week, building up to 3 or 4 times a day, as my aunt’s health deteriorated to the point she had to move to residential care. Avelo are the reason my aunt was able to feel that she could live at home independently for as long as possible. The clue is in the title, Avelo really do care, and they enhanced the quality of my aunt’s life immeasurably. Nothing is too much trouble, and all the carers, three carers in particular are absolutely wonderful humans, all delivering care to the highest standard and beyond. They are angels, and our family owe a huge debt of thanks to all the Avelo team - they made an unbearable situation bearable, and they offered true companionship whilst delivering an exceptional level of care. We will forever be grateful to them and cannot adequately express our gratitude. What we can do is recommend them without hesitation.
Thank you for your lovely words about team Avelo and recognising of the support the carers gave. Your aunt was an amazing lady who could sometimes be a challenge but always appreciated the visits and support from the carers. We are glad we were able to adapt the care required to meet her changing needs and most importantly for her to keep the same team through all those changes.
Avelo Care generally and the director, in particular, have been outstanding. I have had many issues with my mum being in hospital and navigating the whole care system and without the truly amazing support of the director and the operations manager, I don't think I could have coped with the stress of the situation. What is also great is that, as a team, they communicate with each other and so I am confident that when I talk to any member of the team I am talking to them all. Also, they are completely professional and they take their role as carers very seriously. I am confident that I have chosen a great company to look after my mum. Thank you Avelo!
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. I'm so pleased we were able to support Mum with her discharge from hospital and that she is now settling back into the comfort of her own home.
Highly professional and caring staff who will go the extra mile. Staff take my mother-in-law on hospital visits and have recently started to take her shopping and for afternoons out. At 89, she had almost given up and become housebound (not far off bedbound) but the Avelo staff have turned the downward spiral in the other direction. Now she is going out looking for a Christmas jumper and even enjoyed her first ever fast food meal. Brilliant.
Thank you for the fantastic review and it's great to hear the outings are going so well. The Christmas preparations are well underway and this week's update is that a suitable jumper glitzy enough for the occasion has finally been found!
I was introduced to Avelo Care through the charity Care Support. I have appreciated the kind and caring support that both carers have given to my mum. Patiently listening to her reading about cats, her passion, and some obscure novels. Thank you for your patience and thoughtfulness with her increasing confusion and anxiety.
We are very sad to say goodbye, but Mum is going into residential care now.
I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking for kind, compassionate, personalised care in their own home.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We all send our best wishes and hope that Mum has settled into her new home.
I can not thank Avelo Care staff enough! They are kind, hard-working, thoughtful and work to such a high standard.
I have gone from being a full-time carer, to now being a granddaughter again. All thanks to them! My nan has formed strong bonds with them all, but special credit to a particular carer! She really goes above and beyond. So thank you!
Finding a suitable care agency was quite daunting for us as a family but I am so thankful I reached out to the manager and her fantastic team. I have nothing but positive things to say about Avelo and the kind team who have supported my mother over the past year. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking care services at home. Thank you.
The carer is professional, friendly and kind. She quickly formed a relationship with my father and he always looked forward to her visits. My mother and I were very comfortable leaving Dad in her capable hands.
