Avelo Care Reviews (88)
Avelo Care has a Review Score of 10 (9.959) out of 10, based on 49 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Avelo Care has 88 reviews.
On the several occasions that I have observed and spoken with a variety of carers, I have been impressed with their consistent patience, kindness, friendliness and respect for this client.
Care has been provided above and beyond the essential requirements of preparing and serving lunch, particularly when this client has been confined to her bed. Additionally, my experience of the management of this organisation has been excellent. Responsive communication and organisation, combined with a humane, caring and practical approach have inspired confidence in the service provided for my friend at this extremely difficult stage of her life.
You have my heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
Kind regards.
The Avelo team have been looking after my husband who was very reluctant to have any help. He now looks forward to going out with the carers and enjoys a good sing song and joining in conversation. This allows me quality time to go shopping or just meet friends for coffee, knowing he is safe and well cared for. His smile tells me how good they are.
Such kind and caring people. Always have time for Dad and treat him with such dignity. Notice things as in a swollen leg. This means they are also very attentive!
I would like to say a big thank you.
Thank you for your feedback, it is very much appreciated and will be shared with Dad's team. Best wishes from all at Avelo
I would recommend Avelo Care. The carers who came in to provide support for my elderly mother were always professional, caring, personable and nothing was too much trouble. Mum always enjoyed their visits and I felt I knew them through her. The Avelo team were always there for Mum and myself and I would like to thank them.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a real pleasure to support mum.
My wife and I have been receiving care and support from the lovely carers at Avelo for a number of years. We look forward to their visits each day. We started with one visit a day to support at mealtimes and over time this has now increased to 3 visits a day to help with getting up and getting ready for bed. My wife and I never thought we would need help and it took a while to accept we needed a little help but the whole team have made it easy and now we could not manage without them.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Reviews are very important to us and a reflection of the great work our carers do.
Everyone at Avelo has been very caring and supportive. The carers were always friendly and helpful and Mum looked forward to them coming. Initially, Mum only needed general support a few times a week. However, as Mum began to need daily care, she got to know the carers well and liked them all. I found that Avelo was very flexible and whenever I phoned requiring some extra help (e.g. taking mum to her GP or for a Covid jab) the office staff always managed to provide a solution, sometimes at short notice. In particular, I found that their phone App was brilliant for reviewing visit notes to keep up to date with how Mum was doing as I live 120 miles away. I can't thank Avelo enough for the care and security that they provided for Mum.
Magda, it was a pleasure to look after mum and hope she has settled into her new home. Thank you for the lovely treats you sent for the carers who all send their regards.
I have been very happy with the at home care package which Avelo provided for my mum of 94 who has dementia. Avelo has provided care and companionship since July 21. Although she did not need any personal care, the carers provided emotional and practical help. Continuity was important for Mum to see/recognise the same carers and overall, this was maintained. The management of the service has been excellent. There have been occasions when we had to ask the team to go over and above their duties and they stepped up to the mark every time. In summary, Avelo provide a reliable, professional, caring and supportive service to Mum, my sister and I.
Thank you for your feedback regarding the service provided Gill, this really is appreciated and we will share the details with mums team. We all send our best wishes to you and your family
We have been so lucky to have Avelo supporting my mother over the last year, having set up care sessions to support us with hospital discharge. The manager has always been at the end of the phone to provide me and my family honest and valuable guidance and support, something which we will always be grateful for. The carers who visit have been fantastic in bringing Mum back out of her shell after her stroke last year and building her confidence to get out of her home and enjoy her social sessions. I would have no reservations in recommending their services and the genuine care they have given us.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are really pleased to see mum growing in confidence and enjoying her time with us.
I can’t express enough how great Avelo Care have been with my mum. They have been making companionship visits to Mum twice a week for the last 6 months, which Mum has really enjoyed and found engaging. The staff at Avelo Care have always been very caring towards Mum and now that she has gone into a care home, she will really miss them. I would absolutely recommend them.
Thank you for the lovely review. We hope mum has settled into her new home.
I recommend totally.
I am the husband of your client and I cannot praise your services highly enough - from management through to office staff to the visiting carer it has been first class - for me it allowed me time to go out knowing my wife was in safe and caring hands. Avelo gave me freedom of the worry of 24-hour caring and my wife (Parkinson's and Dementia) looks forward to the visits.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review Avelo Care. I will pass on your kind words to the team involved in the support for your wife and of course the office, they will be delighted to read your review, what a lovely way to end the week, thank you.
Been with Avelo for many years as they have looked after my father and aunt who both have Dementia. They have been superb in every aspect and I would fully recommend. The app they use is also excellent and keeps me fully up to date with everything I need to know.
Many thanks for your kind words, I will pass this on to the team who will appreciate your comments. It is a privilege to support someone's family members and loved ones so thank you for choosing Avelo Care to do that.
Avelo Care provided support for my mum who had Alzheimer's. My father was her main carer and when he broke his wrist last year, he needed extra help with assisting mum. The ladies who came to help mum with personal care in the mornings were super. They brightened mum's day by being cheerful and they treated her with dignity and respect. Sadly, mum has now passed away but if in the future dad needs extra help for himself, I would not hesitate to use Avelo Care again. Thank you to all the staff that helped mum, it was so appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The team will definitely feel appreciated when they read your words. It has been a privilege to have been trusted to support your parents.
I can’t express enough how fantastic Avelo Care have been with the care of my Father-in-Law. They have made his last few years as good as they could be and without Avelo Care he would have ended his life in a home which he would have hated. The staff at Avelo Care have gone over and above in looking after my Father-in-Law and since he has passed away they are still helping us. I would one hundred per cent recommend them.
Many thanks for reviewing the service, your Father-in-Law's carers will very much appreciate the feedback. We have lots of happy memories, he won't be forgotten.
Avelo Care chose me as much as I chose them. They made the whole experience of finding someone to care for my mum when I was not able to do so, a comfortable, calm and relaxing affair. From the beginning, I felt as though I had known you all for years. The management has always remained extremely accommodating and I used to call regularly with my change of plans and would never falter to help me out. The carers that mum had to look after her were all amazing. I always felt so calm about leaving mum. I would not hesitate to recommend your company highly to anyone.
Many thanks for taking the time to review Avelo Care and the service you received from us. As always it was a pleasure and a privilege to support not just your Mum but the family as well. We are a family-run business and whilst clients are not strictly family, we treat them as we would our own. Wishing you well for the future and many thanks for choosing Avelo.
We have been lucky to have been allocated support from Avelo Care for 2 short periods. When mum was first poorly and then after a nasty fall at home. The ladies visiting did everything required but also took the time to always ask mum how she was feeling and did all the little jobs that sometimes get missed. Lovely, kind care staff who work hard but have time for the personal touch.
Many thanks for your kind words, it has been a pleasure to have been able to support your Mum.
When my father's care-giver was taken ill and we needed to find alternative care at short notice we had no idea where to turn. Avelo Care was recommended to us and it is hard to overstate how grateful we are for the support they have given Dad during a very difficult time for him and for us. In the middle of the covid lockdown we were not able to travel to be with Dad and yet at no time did we feel at all anxious. The Avelo team communicated with us every day and immediately put Dad at ease, in spite of his difficulties. Do not underestimate the element of care that is caring for the carer's relatives! The Avelo carers went the extra distance to respond to Dad's interests and though I was 350 miles away I felt as though I was being involved in the decisions made for his care. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat to anyone needing care for an elderly person with dementia.
Many thanks for your kind words, it is a pleasure to support your father. Thank you for putting your trust in the Avelo Team.
Was very satisfied with the carers that assisted me. I was very grateful for their help, polite and friendly.
I will pass your feedback to the team, they will be delighted. It has been a pleasure to support you these past few months and thank you so much for your feedback.
The care provided has been generally to a high standard and responsive to whatever my mother's needs are at the time. I was also grateful for feedback from one of Avelo's assessors on my mother's progress and likely future requirements - this involved a reduction to the number of visits needed, so there was no 'hard sell' to continue at the initial high frequency of visits.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our service. I'm very happy that Julie and the team were able to put support in place for Mum during your absence and it is great that we are able to continue. I will pass on your comments to everyone involved, your review means so much to us and the recognition for Julie and the girls is a great motivator.
Very pleased with care and really appreciate that on most visits it is the same carer who instils much confidence in my father and goes out of her way to build a professional relationship. Thank you.
Thanks for the review and I am delighted that we are meeting yours and Dad's expectations, it is a privilege for Avelo to be trusted with supporting someone so close to you. Because we pay our Carers travel time and mileage allowance we are able to reduce the cost for block visits of two hours or...
