Thank you Home Instead
Thankyou Sandra for the lovely review. It was pleasure supporting J and we hope she is happy in her new home closer to the family. We will of course pass on your feedback to Karen and Rachel.
I am so grateful for the outstanding care provided by Home Instead. Every carer has shown genuine kindness, patience, and respect, allowing my mum to remain comfortable and dignified in her own home. The care was always reliable and professional, and I felt the carers really got to know my mum and supported her with real compassion. She had a small dedicated team who have been fantastic with mums needs. Special mention goes to Nicole who had a very close relationship with mum and she was wonderful at all times. Of course, Karen, Magdalene, Angie and Abby all had mums best interests at heart and really got to know her. She looked forward to all her visits. Communication with the office team has been excellent and any queries quickly dealt with. Thank you so much to Simon, Joan, Michelle, Dawn, Chloe and Lyndsey. It was always easy to get in touch and everyone has been very approachable and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead. We will miss you xx
Thank you so much Mandy for the lovely review. I will pass on your thanks to the team. I am so pleased to hear mum is doing well and settled in her new home.
My sister felt she didn't need any support and was very apprehensive about having a stranger come to her home. However, from the first time she met Lucy, she felt at ease and pleased that they had similar interests. In the past six weeks they have been for walks, been to the local cemetery to visit our parents' grave, been shopping, collected medication from the pharmacy, sat doing a jigsaw, chatted and laughed together. Before leaving Lucy ensures my sister has her lunch ready.
I have found it easy contacting the Care Manager if I request something to be added to my sister's Care Plan or have a query.
My sister now looks forward to the weekly visits and sees Lucy as a friend.
Thankyou for the lovely review Valerie. It is a pleasure supporting your sister and i will pass on your lovely feedback to Lucy.
Communication works well, and the app helps to see how care is being delivered. Dad's companion is always very caring and provides excellent support for him; all current needs are well provided for and delivered.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'd like to acknowledge your score for management, which has obviously also impacted the scores for Staff and Overall experience. We have addressed that issue now and I trust you have noticed the change. I'm sorry that the changes weren't in time to uplift your experience to a 5 star one.
Brilliant care and service provided by Home Instead in Reigate. A particular member of staff was very reassuring and helpful when he visited and the ladies that came to help my mum were lovely. Just wish I found them earlier as their help with mum was wonderful and she enjoyed seeing them each day. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the feedback, It was an absolute pleasure to support be able to support your mum. The ladies who visited were very fond of her and i hope she is happy and doing well in her new home.
We have been absolutely delighted with the care provided by Home Instead for my 94-year-old mum, who has been able to remain comfortably and safely in her own home thanks to their dedicated support. In particular, two members of staff have both been exemplary in their care and attention, consistently going above and beyond to ensure my mum's needs are met with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. Their professionalism and warmth have given our family great peace of mind, knowing that mum is in such capable and caring hands. We are truly grateful for the outstanding service from Home Instead and cannot recommend the two members of staff and the whole team highly enough.
Hello Gill and thank you so much for the lovely review, and for taking the time to provide it. To know that we did a good job, and to be able to specifically give that feedback to the individuals in her team is a such a pleasure and makes everyone's efforts worthwhile. Thanks you again : - )
My friend has since sadly passed away after a brief spell in hospital, but Home Instead made it possible for him to remain in his own home, seeing out his final days with dignity.
Right until the end he was able to pursue his many and varied hobbies of stamp collecting, WWII film and memorabilia, and he was even still learning new languages right up until his passing!
It makes such a difference to be looked after by the same regular carers, who are there for a meaningful amount of time, at the same time week in week out.
I recommend Home Instead to everybody as they truly live up to their Outstanding accreditation.
The team are friendly, gentle, caring and kind. They go out of their way to look after my parents and support them both in every way, not only with dignity and respect but with genuine affection. They help with washing, dressing, with meal preparations, cleaning and outings out. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I am very grateful to the team for their consistently outstanding service! I really don't know what I would do without them! Thank you very much!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's lovely to work with a family who cares too. Please let me know if there's anything else the team can do to earn that 5th star for value for money.
Home Instead have been caring for my mother since last June 2023. I have nothing but praise for the care she has received. She has 4 different carers, all of whom are friendly and care for her extremely well. My mum enjoys their company. Their help has been a godsend to me. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. It's lovely to know we are able to make a positive difference to your family.
I have no fault with Home Instead (Reigate & Tandridge). The staff who came to help me were caring and kind. Regular checks are made to ensure that there are no problems. I have discontinued using their services as what is on offer is not really what I need. I have no hesitation in recommending their services as every attempt is made to be accommodating.
Kind regards.
My parents have now moved into a care home close by due to declining health issues, but their time with Home Instead was a very positive experience. Thank you!
Thank you, Delia; the team here are very happy to have been able to help. It was a pleasure supporting your parents. Great communication with family members makes such a difference too.
We are very happy with the level of care and support that Home Instead offer mum, allowing her to lead an independent life, and allowing her family not to worry about her day-to-day needs. All our carers have been kind and considerate and Mum has enjoyed getting out and about, going for lunches etc.
Thank you for the review, I'm sorry we didn't get the match right initially, it's rare but sometimes happens, unfortunately.
A truly caring service was given the whole of this time. Any health issues were alerted to us on the same day. Their main carer treated them so kindly and respectfully. We always felt relieved when she was there. Such an efficient service with an app, which was updated after every visit, so the family always felt well-informed. I live in Gloucestershire, so it was very reassuring to know how my parents were doing and could respond when necessary. From carers to administration - the service was outstanding and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review, Penelope. The team all work so hard and with such dedication. Getting reviews such as yours makes it all worthwhile.
Right from the outset the team at Home Instead went into action and proved so professional. An excellent interview and assessment of their needs at the outset and both my parents-in-law looked on their principal carer as a friend and looked forward to the visit and the conversations.
After each visit, the carer uploaded notes onto an app that we, and my wife's siblings, could view and take appropriate action.
Regular reviews are undertaken including feedback on the carer's performance. All this was in stark contrast to other domiciliary care providers who either did not respond to our approaches or who when appointed failed to keep promised timescales.
We have had to move my parents-in-law to a care home due to dementia issues but we and they will miss the interaction with Home Instead.
Best regards from all of us here at Home Instead.
Well done Ladies.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. It was a pleasure supporting your mum and being able to communicate effectively with you. It's so lovely when "children" care for their parents as much as you obviously do.
Best wishes from all here at Home Instead.
A kind, empathetic service provided by people who understand the hardships and are willing to listen and work with you. A first-class team who have put my sister's comfort and happiness at the centre of everything they do.
Thank you for a wonderful review, Daniel. It's made my morning as that's exactly what we set out to do. The team love supporting your inspirational sister.
I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Home Instead's care to anyone. The care I receive is first class in every respect.
It's got to be said that I'm very troubled by the 4 stars for "treated with dignity" and would very much like to know why the 5th star is missing so we could put right whatever wasn't right for you? Likewise the 3 stars for value for money; we do charge more than average so we...
I like the help given to me and going to the clubs etc.
Thank you for taking the time to review the service. We will be in contact to see how we can get to 5 stars with you.
We are so pleased with our caregiver. Every effort was made to find a good match. Her conversation is great, and she really stimulates my mother whilst also being happy to do domestic duties. I love the fact that the carers are permitted to take clients out in their cars.
Thank you for sending a review. I know that your mother's CAREGiver really enjoys visiting and supporting her. Hearing that the match is so good and a positive difference is being made, makes it all worthwhile.
My mother has two wonderful caregivers who visit her regularly. She suffers from dementia. I frequently leave them copious notes about what I would like them to do and I return to find everything completed, despite the fact that I know my mother will have told them not to worry about it (she doesn't like to put anyone out!) and they are things that I often don't manage to achieve myself with her. Her mental capacity has definitely benefited from conversation with people outside the family and they listen patiently to her stories and repetition. I know the company try hard to match the caregivers with the client and this has worked so well with my mother. Communication with the office is always reassuring and responses are quick. I don't know what I would do without them, let alone how my mother would manage.
It's so lovely to receive affirmation that the heart and soul that the whole team put into providing the best possible level of support and care for your mother (and all our other lovely clients), is recognised, and is making the positive difference we all aim for; even more so in...

Meet the Team (3)
Having been in the insurance and financial services in one form or another for the majority of my career, I have worked for some large multinational organisations and also for myself. The financial crisis in 2008 was a catalyst for change for which I will be eternally grateful.
Between then and opening Reigate and Tandridge Home Instead, I worked part-time in project management but more importantly, as a part-time CAREGiver for Home Instead in Epsom. I say more importantly because working as a Home Instead CAREGiver gave me first-hand experience of what a profound difference it can make when care and support is delivered the Home Instead way, unrushed and with kindness and compassion, building lasting meaningful relationships. It also opened my eyes to how many vulnerable people are stuck with extremely poor care and are simply unaware that there is an immeasurably better and very affordable alternative in Home Instead.
Reigate is my home town so when the opportunity arose for me to open an office here it seemed absolutely right that I should do so.
I am very happy to be able to offer our local communities the unique approach to care and support that we at Home Instead can provide.
I am the head of client care at the Reigate and Tandridge office of Home Instead Senior Care.
Before working with Home Instead I spent many years working in the motor trade in both sales and repairs, running the business with my husband. However, after a change of circumstances, I took time out and cared for my sons.
I have cared for my father who has Dementia and Parkinson's, which was very rewarding, and this gave me the opportunity to look for a vocation that I would truly enjoy. I joined Home Instead as a CAREGiver in March 2018 and I have never looked back as working with a great team is nothing but the best. All our clients are lovely and make my job so rewarding
I love my job, but it's more than a 'job'. It's like being part of a big 'family.
I then took an office role in an Electrical Wholesalers doing Credit Control, Sales Ledger, and at times Purchase Ledger. After 25 years, I wanted a complete change and started working part-time in a lovely country Pub, alongside this I set up my Dog Walking and Home Boarding business, which I did for 11 years. Dogs have always been a passion for me, my bouncy two are called Gilmour and Molly.
I then came across Home Instead. I loved what I heard and decided to give it a go. I was so surprised at just how much I looked forward to my day in the Care Professional role and felt that I had found my ‘Me’. My clients were so lovely and interesting, and I just couldn’t wait to see them. It wasn’t a job, it was a joy.
Work-life balance is so important for us right now, and I have exactly that. I wish I had found ‘us’ years ago…
