High turnover of staff due to poor management and training.
Untrained in handling medical equipment.
Untrained in handling medication.

Always back the staff, leaving clients vulnerable.
There are a few good carers that are exceptionally good at their jobs, unfortunately not enough of them.
I know of other clients who have suffered too.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.556 for Be Caring Leeds is calculated as follows: ( (10 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 18 Ratings = 4.556
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Be Caring Leeds is based on 3 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 4
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Job Title: Operations Manager
Joined: 2017
Hello! I’m Cat, and my journey with Be Caring began as a Team Leader—working side by side with our amazing care staff, coaching them, cheering them on, and making sure every visit met the high standards we set. From there I moved into a Coordination role, where I dived into performance data and fine-tuned our care-hour allocations. Those behind-the-scenes tweaks helped us deliver smoother, more reliable support to our clients.
Now, as Operations Manager for Be Caring Leeds, I oversee every aspect of our domiciliary care service. I’m incredibly proud of our team’s dedication and delighted that, thanks to their hard work, we hold an Outstanding rating from the CQC. Together we’ve introduced new policies focused on person-centred care and created a supportive culture where everyone can grow both personally and professionally. Watching our staff flourish—and seeing the positive impact on those we care for—is my proudest achievement.
Social care has always been my calling. I’m passionate about leading with kindness, innovation, and a clear focus on each person’s needs. My goal is to keep building sustainable, person-centred services that help vulnerable individuals live with dignity, choice, and joy, every single day.
Job Title: Client Support Manager
Joined: 2021
My Be Caring journey began in March 2021, when I switched careers into care after losing my previous job to COVID. I jumped in as a Care Worker and quickly discovered my passion for supporting others, which led me to become a Care Assessor. Despite never working in an office before, I felt completely supported (and, yes, my never-ending questions about our tech probably tested my colleagues’ patience—but I cracked it in the end!).
At the end of my probation, I was thrilled to be offered the Senior Care Assessor role. As a single mum forging a new career later in life, that felt like a real milestone. With the management team’s encouragement, I completed my Level 3 apprenticeship within two years and continued growing alongside an incredible group of colleagues.
In early 2023 I was promoted to Client Support Manager, where I now lead a fantastic team of four assessors. Together, we ensure every referral and assessment runs smoothly, helping maintain our Outstanding CQC rating and delivering the high-quality, compassionate service Be Caring is known for. I’ve also started my Level 5 apprenticeship in Care Management, balancing on-the-job training with my studies.
Job Title: Lead Coordinator
Joined: 2020
I began my care journey as an Ofsted-registered childminder, but in October 2020—when my youngest started full-time school—I joined Be Caring as a Care Worker. I was drawn to a community-based role and felt my childminding experience translated perfectly into supporting clients in their own homes.
Since then I’ve moved into Coordination and now lead our team in Leeds. My proudest achievement has been steering the coordination for our Community Health and Wellbeing Service pilot—seeing everything run smoothly and efficiently was very rewarding.
I’m passionate about the tailored support we offer, not just to our clients but to each other. Having worked as a carer myself (and knowing our whole coordination team started the same way), I always think from the carers’ perspective. If we look after our colleagues first, they can deliver the best-quality care.
