They respond to phone calls or emails quickly. They did a thorough care plan and made changes, as my uncle's needs increased. They knew exactly who we were and were always up-to-date with what was happening. They responded quickly to any concerns we raised. They were amazingly flexible when we asked for variations of cover at short notice. They were very reasonable with their prices, better than the other agencies we looked at. The only reason we have stopped using them is that my uncle now needs live in day and live in waking night cover but we will call on Friendly Homecare for any holiday cover or emergencies.

Overall Experience

The care that was provided was for a dementia patient who had suffered a stroke 15 years prior. We, as a family, had used several companies before to provide home care. Having experienced terrible care companies and carers in the past, we were very happy with the care that Friendly Homecare provided. They were honest, flexible, accommodating and most of all, caring. They provided carers who were lovely and helped enormously with the care of this family member. The management kept us informed whenever there was something not quite right and kept on top of the care, managing the carers and being proactive. Communication was very good. In our experience finding a good company and carer is difficult and there are some terrible ones out there but we have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Overall Experience
The team at Friendly Homecare supply carers for my severely disabled son, and I really cannot fault them.
They go out of their way to ensure that my son is comfortable with them and they are always very caring and helpful.

I have used many agencies in the past, but feel very happy to let Friendly Homecare take over for the time they are with us.

Shiva Singh

I’ve been working in the social care sector for over 20 years. My personal and work experiences have inspired my passion for encouraging and supporting elderly & vulnerable individuals to maintain their independence within their own homes or to regain it, following a deterioration in abilities, perhaps owing to illness or other reasons.

I am experienced in supporting & planning support for individuals with various health conditions and I have worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive health outcomes for service users. Through person-centred care planning, the team and I are able to promote individuals’ capabilities, choices, dignity and self-esteem, as a means of stimulating better physical and emotional well-being.

I am also quite ardent about staff development, in order to deliver an efficient, high quality and personalised care service with a focus on interaction and involvement.

“I still enjoy providing care for service users whenever required. Personal contact is invaluable and reminds you of the positive impact that you can have on someone’s life. Outside of work, I am a mum of two and also help to support my two elderly great aunts so that they can remain independent in their home”.
