The team at Friendly Homecare has provided impeccable care to my 89-year-old father for several years and is an invaluable lifeline of support to my mother in meeting his complex care needs, including dementia and Parkinsonism. Both managers and carers are indeed friendly, considerate, calm, courteous and trustworthy. Their ability to respond to client's needs, often at short notice, with empathy and efficiency does them credit and we are so grateful to them all for their kindness over the years.
Absolutely wonderful people and meticulous attention to their work and the client's feelings. Can't praise them enough! Very professional, considerate company. Can trust them to take so much worry off family shoulders. When carers are that good it leaves family free to enjoy that time with their elderly relatives instead of rushing round taking up the slack from bad care givers. Totally wonderful company.
I would not hesitate to ask him and his team to look after any of my loved ones.
The agency were able to manage from his mid-dementia stages, where he's frequently leave the house and try and wander off, through to meal times and play times. Even when Dad has to have some overnight stays in hospital, the agency were able to supply staff to support Dad, with their familiar voices, in the hospital setting. Then finally as he declined they supported him (and us) in his home until the end.
They have been truly adaptive and effective in their care and support.
The Friendly Homecare team have been doing a fantastic job looking after my father who suffers from dementia. They have been flexible, caring and considerate for his ever-changing needs and requirements. They truly know and understand the situation and you feel he is in good hands when they are with him. They have covered hospital appointments and vaccination centre bookings and helped on the smaller things like a haircut or a shave, no job is too big or small for the care team. We would be truly lost without them. Many thanks.
I have used the Friendly Homecare agency for years and would heartily recommend it to anyone looking for expert, friendly and professional care. The carers maintain a good rapport with their clients and their cheerful presence lifts the spirits. I feel fortunate to have found such an excellent care provider.
The agency and their staff are very efficient and extremely helpful. My carer is very good, very punctual, helps me a lot with my personal care and any other help I may need in the hour she is here. She was extremely helpful when she took me out in my wheelchair this week. My first outing due to Covid-19 restrictions. The agency is very proficient in coming to see me to do reviews.
I am equally impressed by the management, who are always completely aware of any issues or problems, often even before I am, and pro-active in dealing with them. Always ready to drop in for a chat. And they have always ensured that a new carer is fully briefed and able to take over smoothly.
Friendly Homecare was recommended to us by our trusted solicitor, and for the past 2 and a half years they have provided an outstanding service supporting our adult son who has a learning disability, dyspraxia and autism. The manager pays specific attention to his regularly updated care plan and allocates reliable, caring, responsible and happy support workers to aid his independent living skills. We have seen our son’s speech and confidence improve considerably since using Friendly Homecare and this has enabled him to be able to articulate his needs and gain more control over his life. It is wonderful to see him smile so much more.
Friendly Homecare have provided a fantastic service for a few of my clients in the last 2+ years. The manager and his team are extremely caring and friendly towards their clients and provide them with consistent support as required. The manager and his team and are able to spot when the client's needs change and how they can assist in the new phase of care. I cannot recommend a care company any higher as they give me peace of mind that my clients are being cared for.
I am very happy with the service my mother receives. Your staff are personable, cheerful and extremely capable. I have confidence in the service and would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.
I have been using Friendly Homecare for 4 years now. The staff are all very good and familiar with us which is very important. The care plan is reviewed whenever needed. I would definitely recommend them.
I recently had a fall In the middle of the night and hitting my head and this resulted in a blood clot pressing on the surface of the brain. For the next 8 weeks I needed a carer in the morning to help me wash, dress and take me for a walk and a night another carer in case I had another fall. These two helpers were a delightful surprise. Pleasant, courteous, attentive and efficient and confident in their ability. It is more than likely that my wife and I, being in the twilight zone of our lives, may need care again and we would not hesitate to contact Friendly Homecare again.
I cannot recommend Friendly Homecare more highly> They responded immediately to my request for help to support my father on his return from hospital after a serious fall and provided wonderful carers at extremely short notice. The manager and his team could not have been more understanding and supportive and I am so grateful to them not only for the high quality of their nursing care which greatly assisted my father's recovery but for the support they offered my mother and myself during this difficult period. I would not hesitate to call on them again should it prove necessary
My carer was calm, friendly, sensible, charming firm but full of humour.
Nothing was too much trouble and she was as keen as I was for me to be independent.
Everything was done to suit me and I never felt trapped in a system
I could not have asked for better support.
Friendly Homecare provided a very good service. Their carers demonstrated both empathy and great kindness; often prepared to go that extra mile to make things run smoothly. They were a delight to have around because they were so practical and cheerful.
A friend recommended Friendly Homecare Ltd when I needed help with my 95-year-old husband. I was so lucky that they did so. The same small group always cared for him, no chopping and changing. Without exception, they were all absolutely great - reliable, knowledgeable, kind and efficient. Now that my husband has died I really miss their daily friendly visits. The firm is impeccably run - they make you feel totally looked after and cared for. I recommend them to anyone who wants a first class personal care service.
They also carefully comment on each occasion they take him out in their reports and if there are any issues, detail and address them with my brother and his family.
Friendly Homecare has provided at-home carers to my severely disabled friend for several years. The circumstances for the carers have sometimes been trying, the hours inconvenient, but always the care and professionalism was of the highest standard. On many occasions, extra care was needed at short notice; that, too, was always provided. The safety of the client was always paramount, and we received wise advice and support from Friendly Care at all times. Highly recommended.
I have used this service for over a year it has been very well worth having. The staff take on the little jobs eg household that are rather heavy - for instance; dealing with recycling, water for indoor plants, bedmaking. The two staff that I have had longest both liked cooking which is a real bonus as I regard meals as important, both the cooking and the presentation. Both are courteous to visitors, making them tea/coffee etc which makes for a pleasant atmosphere. Some have been more resourceful than others and calmer.

Meet the Team (6)
I’ve been working in the social care sector for over 20 years. My personal and work experiences have inspired my passion for encouraging and supporting elderly & vulnerable individuals to maintain their independence within their own homes or to regain it, following a deterioration in abilities, perhaps owing to illness or other reasons.
I am experienced in supporting & planning support for individuals with various health conditions and I have worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive health outcomes for service users. Through person-centred care planning, the team and I are able to promote individuals’ capabilities, choices, dignity and self-esteem, as a means of stimulating better physical and emotional well-being.
I am also quite ardent about staff development, in order to deliver an efficient, high quality and personalised care service with a focus on interaction and involvement.
Natasha has been working within the domiciliary care sector for over 20 years as well, in various roles, starting out as a care support worker. She progressed through to management and enjoys dealing with and supporting our service users and support workers with any issues they might have. Natasha works closely with Shiva and deals with many of the day-to-day issues that arise.
“I still enjoy providing care for service users whenever required. Personal contact is invaluable and reminds you of the positive impact that you can have on someone’s life. Outside of work, I am a mum of two and also help to support my two elderly great aunts so that they can remain independent in their home”.
Sedana has a wide range of experience in adult social care and has supported many individuals, often with very complex physical and mental health needs. She has been working with us for over 5 years but has 20+ years of experience supporting vulnerable individuals.
Cicely has been supporting our service users for 8 years, and she too, has many years of prior experience in social care.
She loves visiting different places, cooking, baking (she makes a delicious banana cake!) and growing fruits & vegetables in her garden during the summer.
Diana has been with Friendly Homecare for 8 years. She has a wide range of previous experiences including at a GP surgery; and has supported individuals of all ages. Diana is known for being very practical and knowledgeable. She’s one for a good chat!
Winnie has been working with us for over 7 years. Prior to that, she was also working in domiciliary care with other providers. She has over 12 years of experience supporting elderly and vulnerable service users - many with frailty, or a diagnosis of dementia, who have benefitted from having her support all day, or overnight.
