Home Instead have looked after my mum since last April. After a series of falls, a diagnosis of congestive heart failure and general decline, we approached Home Instead for their support. In some very difficult situations, every caregiver has shown compassion, professionalism, patience and overwhelming care and understanding. They have all been invaluable in assisting mum to continue to live in her own home and their support to myself has been much appreciated. An excellent care provider in every respect. Thank you all.
As her care needs changed during that period, so did the frequency and level of care offered. Office-based staff were always supportive and responsive to her changing needs, occasionally setting up last-minute extra care visits when needed, following medical incidents. All 3 carers walked into such incidents at one time or another, always acting calmly and professionally, keeping me informed, calling for the Dr or ambulance, according to need. They knew Mum well - how she liked her tea made, how she liked to choose her own clothes for the day, when she was feeling "wobbly", etc. and she thought of them as "wonderful caring friends". No unknown faces arriving on visits, always punctual, always adapting to Mum's needs on the day. We cannot fault the service she received from all staff at Home Instead. Thank you!
Thank you for your comments, it was a pleasure to look after your Mum.
Dad is sadly no longer with us, he chose to come and spend his last few weeks with me as he knew he would not be around much longer. If he was then I would not hesitate to ask Home Instead to resume their care package. The staff were all lovely, the management fully approachable and I thank them all for their genuine care and compassion.
The continuity of support was greatly appreciated as she got used to seeing the same two, very pleasant carers each week. As she got stronger, one of the carers took her out for coffee and a stroll around the garden centre; this helped greatly by reassuring her that there was light at the end of the recovery tunnel. At all times, I was kept up to date with the situation by the Home Instead office as I live almost 200 miles away. I have been very grateful for the help which was given to my relative and for the reassurance which this provided for me. Many thanks!
Thank you for your review. It's been a pleasure to see how well your relative has responded to our visits.
Home Instead have provided my grandmother with first class service. They have supported our family to keep my grandmother in her own home despite her dementia and retain a level of independence. Since Home Instead have been involved they have improved her quality of life, they are very person-centred and have taken great time to get to know my grandmother and tailor a package of care around her needs, including emotional and social, not just personal care. The caregivers themselves are highly trained individuals who are incredibly vigilant, they treat her as if she is their own family which gives us peace of mind that she is receiving empathetic and compassionate care. The caregivers are fantastic.
The office staff are always happy to help, no ask if ever too much and on many occasions they have gone above and beyond. Highly recommend this company.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm so pleased to see the positive effect we are having.
Home Instead has been fabulous in providing personalised care and companionship for my mum. The carers were specially selected by staff to suit my mum’s specific needs and both were fabulous at striking up a rapport with mum. They showed patience and kindness with mum and became wonderful companions throughout their time with her. Staff based in the office were so accommodating and welcoming with their ‘coffee and cake’ mornings and through regular contact with myself and my father. Having met with other carers and care agencies I can wholeheartedly recommend this above any others due to their focus on the wellbeing and happiness of their clients; they valued and treated mum as an individual and we can’t thank them enough.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. It truly is our pleasure.
Over Christmas we got to meet more of the team caring for my father-in-law. They are all phenomenal: kind, considerate and professional. But much more than that – they are loving, funny and generous. When they walk through the door, they bring smiles, laughter, joy and affection. We feel very grateful that the Home Instead team are caring for my in-laws' so well.
I having nothing but praise for these lovely people. Right from the start of their care for my father they were just great; professional, reliable and made my dad feel like a member of their own family. I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. Excellent service and lovely people, all of them. Thank you.
Excellent support to Dementia sufferer and her family in some difficult scenarios. Proactive in ensuring safety of Client. Went the ‘extra mile’ in sourcing external activities to stimulate Client.
There have been a couple of small admin issues, but these have been resolved quickly and I have great support from the team.
I like the fact that you have been proactive in getting additional or alternative care arranged when required.
Home Instead has been outstanding right from that very first telephone call when it was a crisis situation and stress levels somewhat elevated........! I heard of them through personal recommendation and am so very grateful for their professionalism and sensitivity during a very difficult period, getting my 91 and 92-year-old parents comfortable with "having people do things for them", a common difficulty I believe with that tough, independent generation. Thanks to Home Instead they are now able to safely and happily continue to live in the home they have shared for well over 50 years. The individuals making up the Care Team are all highly skilled, kind, capable, intelligent people. As well as helping my Mum and Dad coping with the physical and mental challenges of extreme old age, they have each helped me so much when I have been emotionally and physically drained trying to do the best for my parents. I have my own life back and my parents have theirs. THANK YOU HOME INSTEAD.
Thank you for taking the time to provide such wonderful feedback. It’s great to hear that our dedicated team have truly made a difference.
The Home Instead care team have been providing outstanding care for both of my parents for two years. Their approach is quite incredible. They are dealing with difficult circumstances and yet have been unfailingly patient, understanding and professional. Every day they meet with resistance to personal care, yet have always put their patient's needs first and used a variety of strategies, including singing(!) to distract my mother to ensure that she is clean, cared for and with her dignity intact. Whenever outside professionals or agencies visit my parents, they always comment on how well cared for they are in such difficult circumstances. They have stayed with my parents beyond their call times when they have a serious concern, battled through the snow to ensure that the calls are never missed, visited in numbers on birthdays to make days special and also listened to my family's requests in a caring and understanding way. They have been a team of angels.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. Both our office and community team will dearly miss your parents. It has been our absolute pleasure to look after them and we wish them well in their new home.
I was so pleased with the care Home Instead provided for my mum, they were so friendly, helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. They always kept me fully informed on everything and we chatted regularly on the phone. This was so reassuring as I did not live locally. I could not recommend them highly enough.
All of the staff involved in Home Instead have given a first-rate standard of professional service to my mother. I highly recommend them. Nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond to ensure the safety and happiness of my mother.
Home Instead Senior Care (Solihull) have been an excellent choice for care provision for my 88-year-old aunt who lives alone. They have constantly offered the level of care and support that I have requested and have also been extremely flexible in making changes to the care programme. I am happy with Home Instead Senior Care (Solihull) but more importantly, my aunt is delighted!
We have felt supported as a family particularly when Mum needed 24-hour care. The Home Instead team signposted us to the agencies which they felt they could work with and offered us advice about the best way forward. Their support was invaluable.
Home Instead Senior Care are providing fantastic support and care for my Aunt which is so reassuring to know as I do not live close by. The staff are magnificent and always go the extra mile to ensure my Aunt has what she needs. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for care for their relatives/friends.
My mum has been delighted with the care she has received from Home Instead. Her carers are always punctual. They are professional, helpful, cheerful, caring and a pleasure to be with. They notice when little jobs need doing without being prompted. They always ask if there is anything else they can do, we'd be lost without them.
To access the right care is a minefield, but after reading in the local press about the company and a couple of unsatisfactory phone calls to others, the response from Home Instead gave me confidence. From the onset, the arrangement has worked far better than I anticipated. It was a big step as I booked it on behalf of my husband, but he is pleased and happy.

I began my journey in care at the age of 18, working in the care home sector as well as domiciliary care. In my career, I have also worked in sales, customer service and quality which has given me the skills to ensure that all of our clients receive only the very best service from us.
I joined Home Instead in 2019 and my career advanced from the Head of the Client team to being Registered Manager. I have a strong passion for providing the very best care and believe strongly in the Home Instead ethos, focusing on person centred, companionship led care that exceeds our clients expectations time and time again.

Hi, I’m Vicky, the Regional Recruiter at Home Instead Solihull.
