The carers unobtrusively guided my return to independent living. They were always courteous, warm-hearted, kind and intervened gently, only when necessary. Full accurate, daily written records were made, documenting my activities, health and welfare.
12-hour, one-to-one care followed. My carers accompanied me to my doctors and hospital medical appointments. Additionally, they came with me on short walks and grocery shopping visits.
Currently, Brisca carers visit and report on me twice a week. My family have every confidence in the Brisca team and the reassurance that their reports provide.
On my part, I look forward to the friendly and productive visits that enhance my daily life.

My experience of the care provided to my daughter to date has been well managed by the current team of carers. If any issues arise then these can be discussed with the management of the company who are quick to put any change into place. They have treated my daughter with every respect whilst in their care. Overall the care provided for my daughter takes a whole load off my shoulders so I can feel comfortable that she is receiving excellent care.

The service I received to care for my elderly mother was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were supportive of the whole family including my elderly father who suffers from dementia. They treated my mother with respect and dignity in her final days. Their presence certainly helped my mother who wished to pass at home. I would like to mention the carers who made sure my mum was comfortable and that we had everything we needed.

Brisca looked after my father aged 92 for as long as we could possibly have him cared for at home. He was treated with kindness, respect and dignity. The carers visiting his house were reliable and efficient. The backup and sometimes problem-solving provided by the office was wonderful. The team are warm and kind. The care my mum received was fantastic. The carers were reliable, patient and friendly. When my mum's health deteriorated, they kept me constantly informed, and it was very reassuring knowing she was being monitored and taken good care of when I couldn't get there.

Dad was 'threatened' with being kept in hospital over Christmas/New Year despite having been medically discharged 10 days previously, just because the hospital were 'unable' to source carers to deal with him on discharge. This despite the fact that at 89 years old, his health was deteriorating the longer he stayed in the hospital. Having previously used the services of Brisca when Mum needed care, I contacted them and explained the situation - they jumped into action and confirmed that even on the 23rd of December they could put carers in place to look after Dad as required over Christmas (A family member was staying with him in any case, so it was only a case of overseeing any personal care needs). They remained totally flexible and when it transpired that Dad 'bounced back' once home and didn't need their help any longer, his care was paused and eventually cancelled without issue. We are never-the-less immensely grateful for their support that was needed over the holiday season. Highly recommended!

Home carers visited Mum four times a day for twelve months. Despite a couple of issues at the start of the care package, they all treated her with care and dignity. The issues were dealt with in a professional manner and the communication from Brain and Richard was very good.

Prieska has 10 years of teaching experience in primary education (from 1996) and 2 years experience of teaching Adult Education in Business Studies and Economics. She has also run a cleaning business for 2 years (2007 to 2009) which enriched her transferrable skills in different areas. She has also done voluntary work for six months, as an administrative assistant at Imperial NHS Trust (Charing Cross Hospital), learning for work from May 2014 to October 2014. Currently, Prieska is the Managing Director at Brisca Healthcare Ltd. She has been in this position since August 2014. During her spare time, she does Healthcare Business consultations and coaching to new start-up Businesses in the Healthcare sector. Prior to that, Prieska worked as a Health Care Assistant for Bupa Care Homes for 4 years, working both day and night shifts with elderly people. She further worked for Essex County Council at Hargrave House for 5 years, working with children and young adults who are Autistic and have challenging behaviour. She also had experience in domiciliary care as she once worked for Red spot Group and Thurrock Council. Prieska loves to serve the community she lives. She is the founder and Chairperson for She-Unity Support, a Registered Charity Organization, aimed to assist BME African women in the UK experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
Qualifications: Diploma in Education, Level 5 Diploma in Principles of Management and leadership, Cert in Business Admin, Bed EAPPS, PGCE, MBA, MSc HRM.
