There are a few staff who know what they're doing. The vast majority have communication issues, don't speak English very well and do not know how to look after elderly people. A lot of carers do not have cars or bikes and rely on public transport, which results in very late or non existent visits due to lack of buses, this problem is exacerbated at the weekends. I made multiple complaints to this company and had visits from their Health and Safety Manager, the Manager and the senior Area Managers, who all sympathised, apologised and promised to make improvements which could not be carried out as their staff are just not able to. Saying this, there were a few carers who were 'on the ball' and very nice, however sadly these are in the minority.
Harmonize Care Ltd provide an excellent reliable service. They add value and go the extra mile, they have a first-rate internal education department - new staff undertake extensive training having experienced several domiciliary care companies. I have no hesitation in recommending Harmonize Care.
Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback, its our pleasure!
The care I receive is good as long as I have the same carers. Sometimes I have new ones, and that confuses me and makes me irritable. My regular carers know how I like things and talk to me whilst performing their duties. Unfortunately, some just do very little, and my wife has to check them and complete their tasks.
I'm pleased you are happy with your regular carers.
Most of the carers delivered a service above and beyond expectations. The support to my husband and myself has been invaluable. I would not have managed without them.
My husband became totally dependent on carers and me.
It was wonderful to hear laughter from carers and my husband, when they were tending to his needs.
The organisation of the rota was not always wonderful but did improve.
Travel time between clients was not always adequate and sometimes caused carers to be late. That was particularly difficult when my husband needed two carers each time.
Continuity of carers was not great at the beginning and as my husband had dementia it was crucial that each carer knew his needs well. All my concerns were listened to and the organisation of care improved after I spoke to the office on more than one occasion.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm pleased that we were able to improve our service following your concerns.
