I’m glad that my mum is happy with the care team. We all find it tough to push her to look after herself. I wish the carers could force her hand - to change her pads, have a wash, eat, drink, take meds, tidy up and move her downstairs (bed and commode) but she’s a tough nut to crack, has agency and is stubbornly proud. I realise it’s almost impossible.
Thank you for your review. The team assist with personal care as much as possible and follow an agreed care plan which gets regularly updated.
Very good communication and if I suggest something it will be acted upon. Drugs are given at appropriate times and the carers are usually on time. When there was a late appointment I rang up and was called straight back and given the reason.
Thank you for sharing this review. We are pleased to hear everything is going well.
Carers have always shown respect for the dignity of my husband. They have been kind and considerate in their companion role. They have undertaken household jobs (bed making, lunch preparation) with a high standard of care.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased to hear that our care provided is fulfilling all your needs.
Very supportive, always quick to respond and on the end of phone. Kind and caring team, from carers to managers and office support. Professional and approachable. Any problems are dealt with immediately. Thank you.
Thank you for such a lovely review. Glad that we have fulfilled all your care needs.
Unlikely to recommend because as lovely as the staff are, the company is struggling with recruitment/sickness etc which means our care times are changed frequently and I continually request a manual driver at least twice a week and as yet we haven't had one. The company has also recently changed ownership and the new owners are shipping people in from India. This raises the following concerns - Visa's, DAB checks, driving in the UK and language barriers. I have requested not to have them.
Excellent - always recommend - loving and kind. (Traffic and workers on roads getting worse!)
Mum has mobility issues and dementia. We transferred 2 visits per day from another provider to Cura Homecare some time ago and then last year, following a fall, we moved to 4 visits per day. Even when staffing is stretched they have tried as far as possible to meet our preferences for time slots. All the carers have been excellent with Mum; many go above and beyond. They communicate any concerns straight away and we receive handover notes every week. It's been reassuring to know Mum is being looked in on and looked after so well.
Thank you for your kind comments. It's a privilege to be given the opportunity where we strive to provide patient-focused care as our first priority.
I would thoroughly recommend this home care provider, who my mum has used for the last couple of years now. I have always found the carers very friendly and attentive and amazed at how much they do during their visits. Quite often they cook scrambled eggs or make a bacon sandwich for breakfast which Mum enjoys. It is very reassuring for me to know that Mum is well cared for and that any problems, e.g. running out of moisturising cream or no hot water, are relayed to me straight away, making me aware. If on the odd occasion the carer is running late or there is a change in the rota then I receive a text to inform me of this. I certainly would recommend this home care provider and it means a lot to Mum to be able to stay in her own home too.
Well, I couldn't manage without the lovely girls who help me. I call them my angels. They are so efficient, happy, like a small family.
Reasonable. The occasional hiccup in planning and execution, otherwise OK. Quick to put things right.
Cura Homecare services have provided a regular, reliable service to my child. This has enabled my child to access a regular swim session and better integration into the community. The staff are friendly and able to adapt to change. I would recommend this care service.
He was sorry to leave your care but his needs became greater than any of us could give and is now happily settled in a care facility.
We wish you all the very best for the future.
All the careers are kind, helpful, polite and knowledgeable. They were on time, very considerate of all the family's feeling, especially the children as we live in a multi-generational household. We were kept informed of any changes. The staff bent over backwards to help in at very difficult time.
Lovely ladies are so caring and wonderful. 100% recommend.
All carers have been experienced, very cheerful and to be honest we could not have wanted better care.
I repeat they are excellent.
Cura Homecare is an amazing homecare service. From the owner, through the office staff, to the wonderful carers, they have supported firstly my mum, and then my dad too, through good times and bad. They have been flexible and responsive to changing needs, at times it was changing on a weekly basis! The carers themselves are so positive and cheerful it is a privilege to hear them with my mum who has dementia and they are equally as patient and proactive in their care of my dad. I am humbled at how they take on the most difficult of tasks with no fuss.
I bless the day we chose Cura Homecare and would recommend them 100%.
We should have arranged a care visit for Mum a long time ago but were put off by the fact Mum's dementia meant that she doesn't think about time, gets up early and had no pattern when she ate or had naps. We, unfortunately, don't live close and it was getting harder for us to support her at home. Additionally, we needed to sort something for while we were away. We were very impressed with how helpful the management team were with setting up the care visits. We were all agreed an evening would be best. They talked us through their processes and arranged for us all to meet with the main carer, who has been absolutely brilliant. Sadly we should have done it ages ago, as since Christmas Mum's dementia has got progressively worse and we have decided she needs full-time care and have found her a care home place near where we live.
I have been a client of Cura Homecare for 3 - 4 months. I find the staff very understanding and helpful. The listen carefully and always make sure I am comfortable before leaving. They prepare meals first the way I like them and the way it suits me. Thank you Cura Homecare.
Very understandable and sensible.
The carers are always very helpful and attentive to my needs and ask if I wish them to do anything more i.e shopping, vacuum cleaning etc. They also provide cheery company which is very welcome and it is good to know they are coming to visit me.
