I am a returning client and have been with 2 other care companies in the mean time. I decided to come back to Gabriels Angels and feel a lot more settled and happy with the care I have been getting and how lovely it has been to meet up with the carers again. And would say GA are best for your family member.

Support from Gabriel's Angels was arranged by the Hospice, for my terminally ill husband, when he reached end of life and became bed-bound. They visited four-times daily for the last six or seven weeks and, without exception, treated my husband with dignity, kindness and great care. Unfailingly good-humoured, they were among the last people able to make my husband smile. They also provided support to me and my daughters, with reassurance and the occasional cuddle. We had a number of 'regulars' - inappropriate to name them here, but I hope they know who they are - to whom the family will be endlessly grateful.
Management of the service was excellent, with provision of daily timetables, so we always knew who to expect and when. On the very odd occasion when the team was unavoidably delayed, communication alerting me was immediate, and the visits were never missed.

Sadly, my father didn't survive his hospital stay, leaving my mum suddenly alone and without company during the day. At an incredibly difficult time, Gabriel's Angels stepped in immediately. Within days, they arranged daily visits from carers who helped with cooking and cleaning, but just as importantly provided companionship, encouragement, and helped Mum get out of the house.
This support began in October and continued until very recently, when Mum moved closer to us. Throughout, Gabriel's Angels gave us real reassurance and played a vital role in helping Mum cope with life after Dad.
They are truly amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Special thanks to Jemma, who is
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review for us & for your kind words
We first starting Gabriels Angels to provide my mother with some company. After an accident they were quickly able to increase to a full carer service, and then reduce again as things improved. They were always responsive and able to adapt to changes in medication quickly. I think mum would new describe some of the carers as friends.

My son always enjoys his care visits - Gabriels Angels staff always engage in a cheerful and positive manner, supporting him and encouraging him with his eating, drinking and socialising, and with his favourite music and play activities. His face lights up when staff arrive. Care plans are carefully drawn up and shared with staff - very good communication in the company. I thoroughly reccommend Gabriel's Angels care.

I am so glad I found Gabriel's Angels; they have made a big difference in my life. I currently have them three times a week, and they are all so competent and lovely that it is a delight to have them in my house. If I am feeling well, I love to sit and just chat with them, and if I am feeling a little under the weather, they make a meal for me. They really do everything they can to make my life so much happier.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review it is much appreciated.
Gabriel's Angels have been a godsend to my Mum who was diagnosed with dementia last year. The support and companionship the carers have given my Mum and the kindness, diplomacy and professionalism of their staff, both office and field based is truly amazing. They have worked miracles in engaging with a shy lady who now is confident enough to move into a care home and for that we are truly thankful.

Every carer who attended to my uncle was attentive and friendly. They ensured my uncle had everything he needed and that all his needs were met. They also offered to help my auntie with anything while they were here due to her broken foot. I would highly recommend Gabriel's Angels to everyone.

Meet the Team (10)
I am the co-owner of Gabriel’s Angels with my wife Jacqueline. My background was originally in the corporate world in Business Management, completing my MBA in 2004. I was subsequently looking for a role which had direction, purpose and would have a genuine impact on people’s lives. Gabriel’s Angels is just that care agency, and we are proud to have created it in May 2012.
Since 2012, I am proud that we have built such a caring organisation, not just for the people we help but also for our employees who deliver that outstanding level of home care we want to maintain.
As well as helping to run the company operations day to day in my spare time, my passion is for the game of rugby – alas not playing anymore but an avid spectator of the game!
Hi - I’m Jacqueline Payne, co-founder of Gabriel's Angels with my husband Jason in May 2012. I am also the Registered Manager of our Company that strives to provide the same loving care to a client that their family would give.
We also wanted to run our company to ensure that it is a positive and happy place to work for all our employees.
I completed my nurse training at Queen Mary's University Hospital in London in 2004, and after nursing at Great Ormond Street, we eventually moved to Wokingham to return to my passion, which is caring for the elderly. I have completed an ENB nursing course, Caring for the Patient with Dementing Illness and also the ENB 998 nurse teaching course.
We know how tough it can be caring for the elderly and vulnerable, and we get enormous satisfaction from helping clients and family members with this challenge.
I joined Gabriel’s Angels as an apprentice straight from college in 2015 and have been on the super journey with the “family” since that time! - I cannot convey how much it means to me to work in such a wonderful and caring environment, which makes the best possible difference to our clients’ lives as we can.
I have a QCF Level 3 in Management and started a Degree in Business Management – passing the first year with Distinction.
I really love the challenge of my new role, being involved in all areas of the Gabriel’s Angels business, and supporting Jason and Jacky in the business's expansion going forward.
A recent welcome addition to the Gabriel’s Angels management team, and based in our Wokingham facility, Ferne comes with a strong background in social care, having held increasing and diverse levels of job responsibilities over the last 15 years or so in other domiciliary care companies prior to joining us in December 2025.
Prior to joining Gabriel’s Angels in January 2024, I had a background in the care industry for close to two years, specialising in the brain and spinal care market sector.
I am one of the Care Co-ordinators who is responsible for our very busy rota system and a team of carers and clients, and I manage the process of carer allocation to our clients and their specific welfare needs, which is highly important to Gabriel’s Angels.
The main attraction for me in the care industry is that I love being able to make a difference to our clients and their well-being.
Another recent addition to the Gabriel’s Angels management team, Rosalind has an 11-year background in both the NHS and other domiciliary care providers in the local area and is a very experienced and skilled Care Coordinator.
Rosalind has joined to support the rapidly expanding Gabriel’s Angels customer base to ensure that they receive high-quality care services at the times they need and want, and that the carers are carefully matched to the individual customer preferences.
Lynette has recently been promoted to Team Leader in our very busy Wokingham branch, and in particular has an extensive knowledge of medical equipment through previous job roles. She has a reputation for consistently going beyond what is required for her clients!
Tatty has recently stepped into the team leader role, bringing with her a strong foundation in accountancy and a newly discovered passion for care. Since joining the sector, she has found what she describes as her “true calling”: supporting people to live well and making meaningful, positive changes in their lives.
She approaches her work with a proactive, intelligent, and hardworking mindset, and she has quickly become known for her collaborative style — particularly her ability to build constructive relationships with colleagues across social services and the NHS.
What truly sets Tatty apart is the sense of safety and reassurance she brings to the people she supports. She has a natural ability to make individuals feel seen, heard, and protected, and this quality underpins everything she does as a leader.
Alongside her role, Tatty is also undertaking a marketing degree in her spare time. This additional study reflects her drive for continuous development and her interest in understanding how communication, engagement, and strategic thinking can strengthen the way care is delivered.
Lucy supports our care delivery, scheduling and administrative processes across a wide aspect of support functions.
Scott joined the Wokingham team in 2025 and supports our administration as well as delivering person centred care to our customers.
