I have changed the rota on numerous occasions based on the changes that Mum needs, and it has always been accommodated within 24 to 48 hours. The ladies come out in all weathers and they have never let me down. All the ladies are lovely and they look after Mum really well .
I cannot praise them enough and would highly recommend them to anyone

She has really settled back home well with the excellent care you have provided.
In particular one carer got mum involved with a task of helping the carer. The carer washed up and mum dried. It is good for mum to be helpful where she can.
Helping Hands have understood what my mum needs and are working closely with us.

My experience with 'Helping Hands' has been very good. The carers do their job with care and consideration for my wife, Elizabeth. I have no complaints about anything. Some of the carers are very helpful with other minor problems, which I appreciate. Keep up the good work!!

I have been with Helping Hands since Jan 2025 who was recommended to me by a friend. I can honestly say I have no regrets. I have peace of mind knowing that I can rely on my 'helper' to keep my place of residence as I would wish it to be. Nothing is too much trouble.

Carers have all been of a high standard, and responsive to new requests as we try to settle into this new phase of life. Mum has been really happy too, even though she didn't think she needed any help! Please do thank all the team for their kind and caring support. We do appreciate their professionalism, and it gives us huge peace of mind to know she is being looked after by you all. Many Thanks
Very happy with the care.
Meanwhile, the care provided has been so important to the rest of the family, as we know that someone is checking on Mum every morning. The carers contact me immediately if there is a problem. Moreover, the daily reports which can be accessed online are so valuable and enable me to work in partnership with the carers.
The care has been for my husband, who has Alzheimer's disease and also has had a major operation for cancer. We would have been lost without Helping Hands, a very big thank you!
Extremely pleased with my regular carers. Everyone is cheerful and helpful. Only issue is sometimes not getting the rota early enough.
Excellent service and support and understanding of needs of care and wellbeing of care and mental health and knowledge of your needs and flexible support.
Excellent service & lovely carers.
I enjoy the companionship of my live in carer. It gives me a chance to get to know them properly. They help me with everyday life, and we share a lot of laughs together.
Helping Hands has been looking after my mum for nearly a year following a nasty fall and a long stay in hospital. We are very happy with the care mum receives and she has built-up a good relationship with her carer. We are able to increase visits very easily if mum needs extra help. All the staff we have dealt with are very friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble.
Very happy with all the care I have received.
I have received a good standard of service from very helpful and pleasant staff.
Most of the carers provide very good care. Sometimes they forget things but not all of them, and not often.
Found our carer very good, efficient and pleasant at looking after my wife who is very pleased she is our carer. She also checks on what I do, makes suggestions on how to do it correctly. We both hope she stays as my wife carer for many years.
Thank you very much for leaving such a brilliant review for us! I'm thrilled to hear how pleased your wife is with our carer and that you consider her to very efficient and pleasant. Your kind feedback means the world to us! Best wishes.

About me
As a branch care manager for Derby, it is my responsibility to lead both the branch and community team to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the branch run smoothly whilst adhering to CQC regulations and adhering to Helping Hand's values and principles. I strive to make a positive environment for all and ensure the customers are safe and free from any harm or abuse. As a leader, my goal is to ensure the carers have the right tools to do their job and are equipped with as much knowledge as to feel appreciated and valued. This way, I can assure the customers are receiving the best care they deserve.
Experience and expertise
I have 15 years of experience in hospitality management, focusing my time on customer service and management. I moved to Derby in 2017 where I started my career at Helping Hands as a carer. My aim was to exceed customers' expectations in their own homes. Given the right tools and support, I grew within the company in every role before becoming a branch care manager.
Why I chose Helping Hands
The care we provide is tailored to the customers' needs and unique to them. It would be hard for me to sell something I never believed in; I believe in the care the carers provide and I believe in the company and the standards that it upholds.
