I cannot express how this lovely team of carers helped my mum and our family get through the last ten weeks of Mum's life. I have never experienced anything like the care received not only for my mum but her family as well. Mum always looked forward to seeing their smiling chatty faces. Every little detail felt personal and we greatly appreciated that the afternoon we lost mum they helped us through it and were there for the family as well. Many, many thanks to Woodfield 24.
Excellent service provided by highly professional, compassionate and caring individuals. On behalf of the family, I would like to pass on our thanks and admiration for the way my mother was attended to and cared for during her last few weeks of life. We could not have wished for better care for a lady who was often cantankerous and always spoke her mind. We would highly recommend Woodfield 24. Thanks.
Woodfield 24 provided excellent care to my mum. They were always friendly and helpful assisting her to do lots of everyday tasks at home. They always respected her dignity and were adaptable to her different needs.
I cannot praise the carers at Woodfield 24 enough. They treated my Dad with the utmost respect and dignity at all times. Not only did they look after his needs, but they chatted with him, laughed with him and supported myself throughout this very difficult and sad time. He regularly asked what time they were due to visit, as he enjoyed their company and the attention. Everyone I was fortunate enough to meet was wonderful. The kindness shown to my Dad and myself will never be forgotten.
Once the fast track package was in place, we would see regular faces for the morning and evening visits which allowed my mother-in-law to build up a relationship allowing the rest of the family to take a break. Each carer was so friendly and understanding and always made her feel special. Their professional conduct helped a very weak, elderly lady to feel freshened up whilst maintaining her dignity. The thorough notes that were maintained by Woodfield 24 were again another example of the all round care provided. I could sum up their care services in one sentence, 'the carers were magical - appearing just when we needed them, sprinkling fairy dust all around.'
Thank you to all that tended to my late mother-in-law - you are all very special people.
This is a 5 star plus service and is highly recommended. I can't praise them enough.
A hearty thank you from myself and all my family for the past 3 months.
I would like to thank the staff at Woodfield 24 Care Services for looking after my husband who was terminally ill. They always maintained my husband's privacy and dignity, they always spoke to him and told him what they were doing even if they knew that he would not respond to them and they always treated him with respect. They also always noticed me if they were running behind time due to emergencies, they also respected my property but one of the most important things for me was they had time for me too if I need a chat or a shoulder to cry on and for that, I am grateful. I never once thought that any of the visits we had were rushed or that I was ignored, thanks for your service
I can't praise the Woodfield 24 palliative care team enough. Their care, compassion and professionalism were second to none. Nothing was too much trouble, all the carers we met during my mum's last few days were passionate about their roles and they supported all the family during this difficult time. I would highly recommend their services.
I am astounded by the amount and quality of the care provided. The staff are all, without exception, A* - sociable, caring, empathetic to both patient and family carer. This is “Royal standard” care for “Free” - nothing is too much trouble for this team of angels. Thank you so much for everything you are doing.
End of life care is extremely emotional and can be very challenging. From our perspective as a family, you are sensitive to our loved one's needs and just want everyone else to be the same. Death may be a common issue, but it's personal and individual. Staff not only cared for my aunty well, consistently, responsively and were punctual, but did this with compassion and dignity.
We were very wary about having carers coming into our house to care for my wife - it was something we had no experience of. All the carers were amazing and treated my wife, and the rest of the family, with the utmost care and respect. From the first contact, our doubts were allayed. The approach taken by all the carers was professional, respectful and very reassuring at all times, and was done with good humour when appropriate. You didn’t just care for my wife - you cared about her as well. Thank you so very much!
It is remiss of me personally that this review is posted so long after the service these wonderful people provided, but other things meant a good few things were put on hold for a lot of us. For this, I can only apologise, but suffice it to say that on reading this, those involved will know who we are, and more importantly who looked after Dad, and know we still value you all. Keep doing what you do so well.
I can't thank Woodfield 24 Care Services enough for the care they gave to my mum during her final months. They were friendly, thoughtful helpful and caring. They also provided great support to myself and my brother at this very difficult time. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services. I don't know what we would have done without them. Thank you.
When my mum was unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal cancer in September 2020, we (Mum and I) did not really know if we needed them so early into her diagnosis. How wrong we were? The team were incredibly caring, respectful and above all considerate to my mum's needs at every step of the way. As Mum declined very quickly, the team's care tone moved seamlessly from much-needed lightheartedness and conversation at the beginning to a quiet, considerate and efficient calm when Mum had no energy or desire to engage.
Not only did they support my mum incredibly, but myself and Dad as well. The news of Mum's diagnosis and speed of decline hit us very hard and they were so genuinely caring towards us as a heartbroken family.
I am genuinely grateful that I met such an amazing team of carers and, whilst it is hard to accept that our loved ones (or us) may need their help in the future, I am thankful that this team exists to make the unbearable slightly more bearable.
Thank you.
I was extremely pleased with the carers who attended to my husband and our family for the two weeks in February when he was on end of life care. Their professionalism and compassion were amazing and so reassuring. A massive thank you to everyone.
Woodfield 24 Care Services went out of their way to provide our mother with the best professional palliative care you could ask for. From the initial assessment of our mother we knew she would receive first-class care. They provided a care folder with all details of mums condition, to her likes and dislikes. Being 95 mum mentally all there and remembered all their names. Being at a time when Covid19 was active all the carers wore personal PPE on their visits. They were always cheerful and engaged with mum giving her the respect, dignity and attention needed on their visits, taking care of mums personal hygiene on every visit. All these details were carefully logged into mums personal care folder, which all following carers read prior to administering any care. Whilst mum was slowly fading away they never showed signs of any negativity. They, with their knowledge, also provided the family with details of what was happening to mum in her latter days which gave us support until final day.
They help make her life as comfortable as possible.
Woodfield 24 cared for my mum after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The care mum received was fantastic and I don't know how we would have got through the weeks without their continued love and support. The carers treated Mum with dignity, love and dedication. Thank you.
The staff of Woodfield 24 are absolutely amazing. The care and compassion they showed to not only my mum during the last 2 weeks of her life but also to my dad, my brother and myself, was second to none. Every time they visited they were friendly and cheerful, they treated mum not as a client/patient but as one of their own family. I cannot say enough good things about these people and I will be forever in their debt. I would most definitely recommend them to others.
The whole team have made this sad time for us all more bearable. I have no hesitation in recommending the service to anyone in a similar position.
