My mother has received care from Bluebird Care since October 2020. We chose them initially because of their person-centred care and commitment to sending a regular team of carers as my mother has dementia and familiarity is important. They have delivered on this commitment. The carers coming to Mum have been kind, conscientious, respectful and gentle, but also fun, many said they really enjoyed caring for her and working for Bluebird. Their care enabled her to remain healthy and content in her own home for far longer than many professionals anticipated. She especially enjoyed companionship calls, when she was taken out on trips to a variety of places, which made her very happy. The company is very easy to deal with, communication is easy and prompt and everyone in the office, including the managers, knows and cares about their customers, their circumstances and their welfare. We will always be grateful to Bluebird for being an important support for Mum and for us as a family.

Would just like to say how happy we are with the excellent service and care we receive from all the carers and team at Bluebird. They treat my father with great care and respect. We can not fault any of your carers. It's a very hard decision when a loved one has an illness and you have to find care for them thinking who can you trust, but with Bluebird, the trust is there and wouldn't go with any other company.

This Home Care Provider is excellent. They went out of their way to get care in place to get my husband out of hospital. We only used them for a very short time but each of the care team was so helpful. Never rushing my husband to do anything. And so patient. Mom was very reluctant to agree to carers in the home but since Bluebird carers have been supporting her she looks forward to their visits and praises them constantly. I love the way they make her tea in the morning - just the way she likes it, it’s the simple things that really matter and they really do care.

I have reviewed the wonderful Bluebird Care Company before, but have to add a comment about their recent reaction to our changing needs. Following advice from carers who have called recently, and been concerned for my husband's welfare, I asked if the time of his calls could be altered. This is going to happen immediately, and we quite simply cannot thank the carers and the admin team enough. The new timings will make a huge difference to my husband's well-being. I have to once again, stress what an outstanding company Bluebird is. Carers are unfailingly punctual, courteous, respectful of my husband and his needs and yet also very friendly, lighthearted and always smiling. We have every confidence in them. They begin and end our days in peace and comfort. They are clearly committed to the company and to the people they care for. Thank you, Bluebirds!

Administration is very good, invoices are always correct, timetables delivered in advance and any alterations in service are advised in advance.
Bluebird Care also update us on other services available.
We would encourage Bluebird Care to give advice on interactive activities that would improve our mother's mental health and also on better products that would help e.g. a better phone system. We have stopped services momentarily due to Covid but will return - an update on carers' injections may speed this up.

Bluebird have been supporting my Mum over the last couple of years and she has always been satisfied with the care that she has received. My Mum is extremely vulnerable and therefore feels happier when she has familiar faces and staff entering her home - especially during an evening. She realises this can sometimes be difficult having a consistency of staff to care for her, and appreciates this when possible.

Bluebird Care carers visit my parents weekly. My mum tells me that all the carers are friendly and efficient in all the cleaning tasks requested of them. Once, when I rang, Mum told me that the carer was listening to some music with my dad. He has one CD that he listens to over and over again! A fresh pair of ears - great for my mum and him! As I live 3 hours away, it is very reassuring for me to know that they are being supported by a caring team. I have spoken with several members of staff on a number of occasions and have found everyone to be empathetic, knowledgeable and most professional. Thank you!

The provision of care for my very elderly mother with Vascular Dementia and many mobility problems was excellent. It was provided at very short notice, within 24 hours. The carer was respectful, punctual, considerate, helpful and safe in all she did. I would recommend Bluebird and the service it provides with no concerns.

My mum has received the care that was needed from Bluebird. There are some lovely staff employed there. My only observation is that there a lot of staff so my mum didn’t get to have the same carer very often and this bothered her. They are always professional.

Mother in Law, who is profoundly deaf and has been diagnosed with Vascular dementia, has been receiving care from Bluebird for about a year now. Carers come 2 days a week around lunchtime and cook lunch for her. I know she also really enjoys the company and the "chats" with them (it must involve a lot of writing on their part!). She often tells us what news she has of them. Even in the recent difficult circumstances (COVID restrictions), they have provided a really good service.

After coming out of the hospital with terminal cancer, my mum and the family had to come to terms with the diagnosis. In addition, previous existing mental health conditions were exacerbated. A care agency was organised, but this did not go well, and they were complaining about my mum and writing things into the notes which did not seem reflective of the situation. Their approach was that we were an annoyance to them, and they gave notice on providing care. The new agency identified was Bluebird care. What a difference in approach from the moment of the first contact. The thing which shines through is that Bluebird does actually care about their clients. The clients are people to them, and they want to support them to be the best they can - they go out of their way to make life better. My mum has gone from cutting herself off from the world; to enjoying eating and gardening again and she looks forwards to the carers visits. She is enjoying living again. Thank you, Bluebird.

Meet the Team (5)
Nicola comes to the Care profession having worked as a Solicitor for over 20 years. In her role as a Solicitor, she was able to see at first hand how the lives of people could be enhanced significantly with the right care provision being made and just as importantly how the wrong care could hold people back.
With Bluebird Care Dudley, Wyre Forest and Malvern Hills, she is able to put into practice what she has seen in her career as a Solicitor. Her time in the law also means that she has experience of running a business and a team of people, to ensure that everyone is working together to achieve the goal of providing excellent care.
Adrian comes to the company having spent over 20 years in the legal profession as a Solicitor.
As well as years of experience as a solicitor he is quite tall, which can be useful in the office. He is also not afraid of spiders and he is therefore able to fulfil a vital office role; that of being able to go into the cupboard and to get unwanted spiders from the office. He can also handle a Daddy Long-Legs at the right time of the year.
Adrian can also make tea and coffee.
Every office should have one.
Despite his young age, Jak has a wealth of experience in the care sector. Starting work in care at the age of 17, there is not a lot that Jak has not seen in his years working in care.
Jak is our Registered Manager and so is the main point of contact for anyone looking to find out about us and the brilliant service that we provide.
Every so often you get someone who is new to care, but very quickly you wonder why, because they are just naturals. In our case.....meet Lyndsay.
Lyndsay had done a variety of jobs before joining us, but as soon as she started with us it was clear that this was where she belonged. From the start she demonstrated a compassionate approach with a great attention to detail, which she has continued to show in her progression with us.
Kira was born at Dudley Zoo in September 2019 and joined the team in the summer of 2020.
Given the low ceilings in the office, Kira prefers to stay at the zoo, with her mum and dad but is happy to welcome customers, staff and their families to the zoo when they come to pay her a visit. We are corporate sponsors of Kira at the zoo and so staff and their families have access to the company ticket whenever they want.
