Following a lengthy stay in hospital my wife was discharged with a package of care paid by the NHS. While our bathroom was updated to accommodate my wife there was a need for additional care services, which were provided by Caremark and paid for by me. The care was excellent. The carers were sensitive to my wife's needs and provided a cheerful morning wake-up. Their services allowed me to start the day with the knowledge that my wife's needs were properly managed.
None of the carers wears gloves or aprons. Very polite and willing but spoilt by one individual who always arrives late when on duty every morning but early every evening!! The office never rings to advise lateness etc.
Having recently required a carer for the first time, pleased to report a very positive experience to date. She has proved capable, proactive and above all reliable.
Professional and knowledgable, she quickly dispelled any initial uncertainties with her empathic and considerate approach, demonstrating a strong understanding of the role’s requirements.
Very pleased to work together (including helping me progress a number of my therapy requirements) whilst quickly regarding her as an additional family member.
Many thanks for your review. We are so pleased that the care is working out for you and you are having such a positive experience.
Overall the service is very good. Most carers go over and beyond and do a fantastic job. Some seem to be slack in what they have to do and don't bother doing the job properly. Everyone is so friendly, they listen, I would recommend Caremark to anyone who needs help. Being an ex carer myself, I know what you all have to put up with. I always say if you need help just ask.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are really pleased you are happy with the service.
Feedback to the family on visits or issues has been excellent. The carers have the kindness, resilience and training necessary to deal with the unpredictable mood swings that may occur with dementia.
My mum has been having carers from Caremark since January this year. We are very pleased with all the friendliness and helpfulness of all the carers that come out 3 times a week. They respect her dignity at all times and her property. She has the same carers each week unless there is sickness or holidays. We are always informed from the office of these changes, which helps my mum has she as early stages of dementia. They also let me know if there is any changes with my mum that I need to know about, which I think is really important.
My aunt has been having carers from Caremark since around November last year. We have both been very pleased with the level of care she receives; she finds the carers friendly and helpful and very mindful of her dignity in the provision of personal care. They always ask her if there is anything further she would like them to do to help her before they leave. They are invaluable in helping her to maintain her independence.
From the point of view of the person making the arrangements, I have found all the staff members with whom I've come in contact to be accommodating and efficient.
Many thanks for your lovely review, I am delighted that the care package is working well.
I would recommend this company to anyone who is seeking care for themselves or a loved one.
The team are consistent.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice review James, we appreciate it.
As a family, we have been anxious to ensure we arrived at the right decision in providing the appropriate care for my mother who is in the early, later stages of dementia. The team, from the moment we made contact, to the implementation of the care package, have been totally professional and caring to all needs and requests. We now have the comfort, going forward, that my mother will hopefully be able to end her days in the house she loves.
Thank you for such an amazing review, Julie, we really appreciate it.
Overall my care is good, however, there are one or two members of staff who I find difficult to trust as they don't understand my condition and how to care for me. However, when I am taken care of by the carers that I have, I have complete trust in them. I do not have any worries or concerns and wish I could be looked after on a regular basis, due to my anxiety and having no family connections. However, I do understand due to rotas and carers having days off, this can't always be the case.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Dannie.
Carers provide a supportive service which cares, not just doing the things that need doing. Issues are dealt with straight away and always taken seriously.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Stefan.
I have been with this care company since last February about 7 months. All the staff I have met have been excellent and make me feel comfortable in the various tasks I ask of them e.g. showing hoisting etc. I live with my husband when he goes out, my carers make sure that I am left with my essentials ie drinks and phone and ensure I am safely locked in.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice review Shirley, that's kind of you.
I've had a carers for over 10 years and been with Caremark since January this year. I find with Caremark they are very understanding about the care needs I require and fulfil them accordingly. They respect my dignity at all times and my property when they attend. The carers are punctual as can be, except obviously due to traffic problems and emergencies, which cannot be helped then the office will ring you and keep you updated. During my care call, my carers are polite, kind and attentive and make sure everything has been done. I find communication with Caremark is good, which I think is very important, in case I have any queries. For example, if I have to rearrange my care time because of a hospital appointment, they try their utmost best and are accommodating to suit my need. The office always sends me a rota every week, which I think is important, then you know who is coming into your house at every call. Overall Caremark is an excellent care company.
Thank you for such kind words Adrian, we are glad you like the service we are providing.

She said: “Carers are looking after people, who are often vulnerable, in their own homes and that is a huge responsibility for us – not just to make sure we take care of the client but also take care of our team too. We need to make sure they have all they need to deliver care as well as possible for the client.
“I’m also the direct interface for the local authority, checking we are getting it right for our clients. I’ll work with local authority teams to make sure the packages of care are delivering all they need to and to suggest changes where they may be beneficial.
“It’s my role to make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s really rewarding to know that we’re helping make a positive difference in people’s lives. The care we deliver is important to them and really can have a positive impact. It’s not just doing a job.”
