Visiting Angels truly are angels. The quality of care is second to none. The girls listen to everything said to them. They have wonderful conversations with my Son. They are the kindest, most thoughtful ladies I have ever come across in the five years that my Son with very complex needs has been ill. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The frontline carers who supported my mother were excellent; compassionate, reliable, a credit to their profession. Unfortunately, my experience with Visiting Angels' management was less so! After my mother's emergency hospitalisation and mandated move into full-time residential care (which they don't provide), the company withheld £560 from her deposit, citing a 10-day notice period - despite no care being delivered or even possible. I submitted a formal complaint in March 2025. It was acknowledged, but they missed multiple deadlines including those set by their own MD and failed to resolve the issue. Citizens Advice escalated the matter to Trading Standards, who confirmed they couldn't act due to a signed agreement. Visiting Angels showed no willingness to apply discretion/goodwill, however happy to retain funds regardless of the circumstances. This raised concerns about how they handle complaints and finances. Read terms v. carefully. Don't assume compassion if things go wrong.
There were a few issues that occurred whilst I was away on holiday, that could have been avoided if only the staff had followed the notes left in the house. When a regular team of carers attend, things run smoothly, however, when carers are chopped and changed last minute, it tends to cause issues.
Thank you for your feedback, as you know keeping that regular team in place during the pandemic has been challenging but I am glad we do have a mostly stable team. I have asked the coordinators to contact you directly. Thank you for allowing us to be part of Mum's support network.
Unfortunately, my mum's carers are constantly changing and sometimes are late or do not see what is to be done. My mum is not good at telling people what to do and recently has not been well. Breakfast pots left in the sink and washing not put away. I know there is a staff problem and Covid has played a big part in inconsistency. However, I would like to say how excellent one carer in particular is. She is so helpful and because she has been one of the constant carers throughout, she is understanding of needs and requirements.
Hi Julie, thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that we have had to make some changes to Mum's carers, with Covid and self-isolation, it has been harder than usual. I am also pleased that despite this, we have a caregiver who has been one of Mum's constant carers, throughout.
The care and consideration given to my mother is exactly what I wanted when I first contacted you, the personal touch and more. Her caregivers are just like a friend calling and give her all the care and attention possible, often going well above the call of duty. I cannot speak highly enough of the girls that look after my mother and this, therefore, allows me to have peace of mind and not worry, as I know she is well cared for in every way.
Thank you so much, for your kind words. Our Angels are amazing and it is lovely to hear that they make a real difference.
Wonderful service provided by very caring people. My mother has needed a full care package for the last year, due to being bedridden with other health issues too. Visiting Angels have always tried their utmost best, through some difficult times with Covid 19. I am so thankful that we have never been let down by them and my mother made some lovely friends with some of the most compassionate carers. It was very touching when my mother passed recently, at just how much respect and compassion the carers demonstrated not only to our mum, but to our family. We are eternally grateful.
Thank you Jill. It was our pleasure to have been involved in your mum's life. We are delighted that we were able to make a difference.
I couldn't be any more pleased with the care my nan has received from Visiting Angels. Each member of staff and carer are really welcoming, kind, warm and ensures my nan's needs are always met. It's been a great pleasure having them care for my nan while she has been at home.
The team are very willing to accommodate the requirements of individuals they care for. They have a care plan but I do leave notes or specific instructions if I want some specific task dealing with at the next visit. The Angel then tries to act upon it. All the Angels team are approachable regarding any situation that needs or requires a change and they have been really reliable through the current situation. At the time of writing, they have not missed a single call. This helps as mum can get too used to me being there and we didn’t want to upset a routine that worked as with Alzheimer’s too much change is not a good thing. I have had calls from the visitor on the day to check something or to let me know if there is something that needs to be dealt with. i.e. a problem with taps and lights or if the stairlift is playing up. Sometimes they let mum make the decisions which is not always a good thing but they are trying not to take her independence away. Overall very pleased.
Our first meeting was with the owner who was charming and professional. Our summary of the meeting was that if they could come anywhere near what he had promised we had found the correct care provider. They have delivered what they promised and more.
We also met the manager, who again is professional, responsive and provides customer service that is second to none. She responds at all times and is always caring, knowledgeable and unflappable. We met the carers before they started delivering the service and generally anyone new is introduced to Mum with a member of the current staff before they have a session with her alone.
Their service and levels of care are brilliant and we thoroughly recommend them.
They have been looking after my Mum since mid-March, 7 days a week for 5 hours each day and their care and attention to my Mums needs has been outstanding.
Living 60 miles away makes it difficult to visit as often as I would like but knowing that Mum has Visiting Angels attending to her twice a day gives me peace of mind.
Mum looks forward to each visit, enjoying their company in addition to helping her with her personal care. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
The team at Visiting Angels are all marvellous with evidence of a 'top-down' effective and caring approach from everyone. Nothing is too much trouble, and when I have had observations and feedback regarding Dad's support, I have had nothing but total co-operation, positivity, support and solutions from the managing director, registered manager, support worker and office staff.
I feel very reassured and comforted that Visiting Angels are involved with my Dad. Dad's best interests and safety are paramount for Visiting Angels; it has been amazing how they have continued to support Dad during this horrible time of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Thank you for all that you do.
