Allium Home Care

My mother is a client of Allium Home Care and we would recommend the team at Allium to anyone looking for support in their own home. From our first meeting in January 2020 when we were looking to start a care package, we have been very impressed with the care, respect, and professionalism of every member of the team.

What can we say? From our first meeting with Allium when detailed and vastly improved arrangements to take over care for my mother were made, through the addition of care for my father several months later (initiated through the recommendation of Allium staff who could see that he was not managing) the care and support that both my parents have received has been nothing sort of the highest possible standard. For the entire team (even management who are more than happy to be part of the rota) no job is too big or too small and to a person, they are always kind, cheerful and happy to spend time chatting and joking with both my parents, all of which has meant that we have noticed a massive improvement in the wellness of both of them. The best way to sum it up is to say that having Allium on board has given us time to enjoy our time with mum and dad confident that they are getting the best care.

My husband has been a client of Allium since 2018. During this time all the carers have been extremely kind and professional and a great support. I strongly recommend Allium.

I’ve been using this wonderful agency for many years now without ever having any problems whatsoever. I would recommend them very highly to anyone who needs care for elderly and/or disabled clients alike or even if it’s for general help around the home.

After meeting a number of care providers, we appointed Allium in March 2020 to help my mum with getting up in the morning and getting to bed in the evening. We have been very pleased with the service and care they have provided since then. The carers relate well to Mum, and Allium has been very responsive to requests to 'fine-tune' the services provided to meet Mum's needs, for example in changing her hearing aid batteries. They have also identified and helped us resolve some areas where Mum has needed additional support including additional occupational therapy equipment and new clothing/footwear. The office team are accessible and friendly and have responded very helpfully to requests for information and advice.

These ladies are people who take their profession to the next level. I highly recommend them and still miss seeing them whenever I was at my father's house.

We could not be happier with Allium Home Care. From the assessment meeting with them, we knew that we had picked a fantastic care company to help us. My cousin has been fighting a brave battle with cancer for over 10 years and now needs a little bit of personal care and home help. Allium are providing a highly professional and dignified weekly service. The carer has built a strong rapport with my cousin and provides and really cheers him up, and the little details like a newsletter and my family member's profile card are all lovely touches and help to feel as though he is part of a very special club rather than a service. If you are like we were and worried about taking your first step with professional care assistance for a loved one, all I can say is choose Allium and you will not look back.

Allium Home Care has been caring for our mum for the past 3 months and they have surpassed all our expectations. It is so reassuring for the family to know that Mum is in such good hands. They are all so kind, caring and professional, from the friendly, helpful administrative team to the lovely carers that Mum is always so happy to see, nothing is too much trouble. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I cannot recommend the team at Allium Homecare highly enough - my Dad always refers to them as his "Angels". Their professionalism, kindness, total respect and dignity showed is a never-ending constant throughout the care provided. Being kept up to date with any health issues that may arise is something very important to me and allowed me to ensure that relevant doctor appointments could be made if necessary. The peace of mind, that someone would always be there at the agreed time to help him get out of bed safely in the mornings, fully washed and dressed, breakfast served and prompting him to take medications, is something you can always rely on. The staff are always full of beans and upon leaving the house after ensuring any additional tasks were completed my Dad is left feeling he's had quality time having a chat and a laugh with people who he felt were his friends, rather than "just his carers".

I've had nothing but good experiences with Allium over the past couple of years. Very caring, stable team. Calm and very capable of dealing with unexpected situations. They have done respite care for my husband and are very kind. Rate very highly.

Allium Home Care team are the best. They have kept in touch as they realize how much I miss their visits.

Allium has been caring for our 91yr old Mum for the past 5 months. We have used another Care Company for Mum but so pleased Allium are now our Mums Carers. We as a family are very pleased with every Carer from Allium that has visited Mum they are all so kind, gentle, professional, friendly, hard-working and loyal ladies. Mum doesn't think of them as Carers but her " Very Special Friends". We know at any time we have a concern about Mum we only have to call Allium and within a very short time, they have reassured us and put our minds at rest. We know they are multi-talented too as even the Carers have taken knotted balls of wool home and returned the next day with unknotted wool for Mum to carry on knitting with. We enjoy the frequent reviews that Allium offer so that we get to hear on how they think Mum is doing as well as being able to chat with them on a social level. We would and have recommended Allium to friends. Keep up the wonderful work you are ALL doing at Allium .

Allium Care have provided an excellent level of personal care to my friend with whom I share a house with. The carers are professional, they communicate extremely well, are compassionate and caring. During this period of COVID restrictions they have been very respectful and wear the required PPE and maintain the rules.

Allium started looking after my parents at the beginning of lockdown. They immediately liked their carer, who has always gone the extra mile. She looks after them as though they were her own parents with amazing kindness and thoughtfulness. They really appreciate the continuity of carer including weekends. The office staff have been similarly kind and thoughtful and were happy to ease in slowly and tactfully with two fiercely proud and independent people as they got used to care in their own home.

I have been using this care provider for the past 2 years. They have been excellent with the care they have provided; always gone out of their way to help and take into consideration all my mother's needs. All the carers, manager and office staff have always been helpful and very professional. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone as I have complete confidence in them.

I am aware of many agencies in this area and have had dealings with quite a few, but I have to say this agency is extremely professional and very caring towards their clients. Very good at updating you with information that might be needed and just seem to have that extra touch that makes one feel very positive about your relative/ friend, etc. Would I recommend them, yes I would and have.
