I contacted Home Help Me Care before going to hospital for surgery. The staff were immediately understanding and could not have been more kind and helpful. Following discharge from hospital I had home visits daily for the few weeks that were required. Each visit was on time and the carers were
keen to do all they could to assist me.

All of mums carers are gentle and kind. They understand her needs extremely well and she enjoys their company.
Their level of communication between each other is excellent and allows for constant continuity.
Whenever we have queries or need to re arrange care the staff in the office go above and beyond
to make sure that our requests are met.
I have been extremely impressed by everyone that I have met at Home Help Me Care.

Home Help Me Care has been a lifeline for our family. They've supported my mum, who's living with Alzheimer's, with such kindness, patience, and respect. Thanks to them, she's able to stay in her own home and keep her independence and dignity which means the world to her and to us. Their flexibility
and understanding make such a difference, especially when things change day to day. And for me, the peace of mind knowing she's safe and cared for is absolutely priceless.

Home Help Me Care provided an excellent service for my later mother over a number of years.
The carers were sensitive & respectful of my mother's needs with good feedback and advice to the family during the service provided. Also helping with issues with the NHS & Social Services for which we were
thankful.
We would highly recommend them for any services they provide.

We have relied on the exceptional care provided by Home Help since 2020. Initially companionship visits for my mother with dementia and ultimately daily care for my father, battling stage 4 cancers. I cannot fault the time, support and level of care they provided . We valued the continuity of carers
and the meaningful relationships forged with both parents. Their care allowed Dad to retain his independence and remain at home, for as long as possible. This was so important for him . There were many challenges along the way, and Home Help provided critical support for the family too, not just in terms of ensuring the correct levels of support and adapting to Dad's changing needs, but also helping the family to navigate the social care systems and ensure an increase in his funding. When the time came and Dad had to move, Home Help were entirely supportive and encouraging of the same, which eased the pressure on everybody. He so enjoyed visits from his carers after his move.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and touching words. It has been our genuine privilege to support your family over the years, and we are incredibly grateful for the trust you placed in us. Caring for your parents was not just our duty-it was something we took to heart. We're especially glad to hear that the continuity of care and strong relationships we built made a meaningful difference, both for your parents and for your family as a whole. Navigating care needs and the wider social care system can be overwhelming, and we're so pleased that we could ease that journey for you. Knowing that we helped your dad retain his independence and supported his transition when the time came means a great deal to all of us. Thank you again for your kind words and for allowing us to be part of your family's care journey.

In May/June 2024, I became very unwell. Home Help Me Care could not have done more to assist me. They came out of hours to help assist me in getting emergency medical attention. Visited me in hospital, assisted with discharge and supported me at home. Without their supporting care I would not have made
the full recovery I have. I enjoy seeing the girls and they enable me to live independently. Thank you for all your help.

My mum has used this service for a number of years now and our family cannot fault the first-class service and care from both the company owner and my mum's weekly carer.
They go out there way to make each visit special and my mum looks forward to a Wednesday when, weather permitting, she gets taken
out to the shops or for a coffee as a wee change from sitting in the house.
I was really impressed recently on a visit to my mum's to see flowers she had received from Home Help Me Care for her birthday. What a lovely gesture and really thoughtful. I really can’t recommend them highly enough.

The team from Home Help Me Care looked after our Dad for a few months in 2023 until he sadly passed away at home in November. It had been a very difficult period, particularly for our Dad having just lost our Mum in April. We cannot thank the team enough for the care and support that they provided
during that period. They treated our Dad with huge dignity and kindness. Their care was excellent and their ability to put our Dad at ease, having been a very independent man until recently, was outstanding. In a very short period, the team built up a trusting relationship with Dad and their 'teatime' visits became an important part of the day. As a family, we found the communication to be very good, through phone calls, online communication and the online carers notes. At a very stressful and sad time in life, having such good, caring people providing support can make all the difference - thank you.

I have been a service user for around 6 years now. I have had the same Carers for that amount of time, which has been good for me. I feel totally at ease with them, I am fully supported in visiting my husband at the Care home, and also to any appointments I may have. These are usually made around my
carer's visit, which I am very grateful for. It has never been a problem if I need to rearrange a visit time, or if I need to change a day. The Company checks in with me often, to make sure I'm still happy with the service I'm provided with. It has made such a difference in my life, as I don't like to burden my family with things.

Home Help Me Care provides my father with sixteen hours a week of care, he has a small team of carers who have been visiting for the last eighteen months, and each carer has taken the time to build up a good rapport with him and explore his interests, not only do they provide essential care visits they
take him on weekly outings to his favourite places, South Queensferry, Portobello and a local farm. It is a pleasure welcoming the staff into our home, they brighten up my day too with their cheery, caring dispositions. Thank you Home Help Me Care for all you do!

Home Help Me Care carers have been absolutely great with my mum. Home Help Me Care took note of my mum's preferences and took care to fit in with them as much as possible. All the carers were very friendly and genuinely caring, so my mum was happy to see whoever came. Home Help Me Care
tended to send
the same carers regularly so, even though my mum's memory wasn't great, she knew them. The carers would ask her about her past, stimulating her memory and interest. I would absolutely recommend Home Help Me Care and we consider ourselves very lucky to find them.

Both my father and my mother have been supported by Home Help Me Care’s companion service over the years. The help and support that has been provided has been exceptional. I discovered Home Help Me Care when they were first setting up and I am so glad I did. My dad who has dementia and now lives in
a care home, loved being taken out on a Sunday afternoon. My mum now looks forward to her weekly outings for shopping and coffee. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Home Help Me Care are an excellent care provider and have certainly gone above and beyond for my family.

My mother has been a service user since summer, 2020, when she needed support to continue living at home, after a fall. She was always independent with high standards, so finding a service provider that would 'fit the bill' was going to be a tall order. Thankfully, through word of mouth, I was pointed
in the direction of Home Help Me Care. From my initial contact onwards, I have found the team to be friendly, approachable and thorough in their assessment of Mum's needs and, whether or not they could realistically deliver those, without proper consideration. Since then, the service has been consistent, of a very high standard and personable, so Mum feels she has friends going in, who she can trust, and who take the time to sit and chat with her, which is one of her frustrations of being housebound and missing contact with friends and neighbours. They are very respectful of her and operationally, I find the management team to be flexible in accommodating any change in her needs.

The level of care my dad has received from Home Help Me Care has been excellent. He has thoroughly enjoyed his day trips with his companions and it’s been such a relief for me to know he’s getting out and about safely. As my dad's health has reduced, Home Help Me Care have been on hand to help me navigate
the changes required to his care routine.

Home Help Me Care quickly came to our rescue in a crisis situation and my mum has been so happy with every member of the team who has visited and shown great thoughtfulness, kindness, humour and patience in helping her to retain as much independence as possible, as she adapts to living with dementia.
They have enabled her to stay at home where she knows her way around and feels safe- so important for someone with sight problems - and they prompt her to take her medication at the right time and eat healthily. As she has regained her mobility she has enjoyed the carers’ company on short walks, ensuring her safety. We greatly appreciate the advice, support and flexibility of the managers. Mum loves the chat and fun as they join in to encourage her to do her exercises. We appreciate the good communication between the team and the family via the app which allows access to the carers’ notes so any issues can quickly be resolved.

Excellent, friendly, flexible and go the extra mile.
Home Help Me Care looked after my dad through his final years with Parkinson’s. The service received helped my mother as his carer get some respite.
Three staff members along with all the other carers were very patient with a fairly stubborn guy.
Would definitely recommend Home Help Me Care.
