They go out there way to make each visit special and my mum looks forward to a Wednesday when, weather permitting, she gets taken out to the shops or for a coffee as a wee change from sitting in the house.
I was really impressed recently on a visit to my mum's to see flowers she had received from Home Help Me Care for her birthday. What a lovely gesture and really thoughtful. I really can’t recommend them highly enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words and it is nice to hear we have made a difference in your mum's life. I am glad your mum enjoyed her birthday flowers.
The team from Home Help Me Care looked after our Dad for a few months in 2023 until he sadly passed away at home in November. It had been a very difficult period, particularly for our Dad having just lost our Mum in April. We cannot thank the team enough for the care and support that they provided during that period. They treated our Dad with huge dignity and kindness. Their care was excellent and their ability to put our Dad at ease, having been a very independent man until recently, was outstanding. In a very short period, the team built up a trusting relationship with Dad and their 'teatime' visits became an important part of the day. As a family, we found the communication to be very good, through phone calls, online communication and the online carers notes. At a very stressful and sad time in life, having such good, caring people providing support can make all the difference - thank you.
Thank you very much for your kind words. Home Help Me Care strives to deliver exceptional care to those we support throughout their journey. It is heartwarming to hear about all of the hard work and dedication that has been delivered to our community and the lives we have touched.
We have found Home Help Me Care to be truly fantastic in every aspect of their care. They go above and beyond to supply truly fantastic care package. Nothing is a problem, meeting our requests head on, time and time again, with a truly lovely staff throughout the business.
tended to send the same carers regularly so, even though my mum's memory wasn't great, she knew them. The carers would ask her about her past, stimulating her memory and interest. I would absolutely recommend Home Help Me Care and we consider ourselves very lucky to find them.
Both my father and my mother have been supported by Home Help Me Care’s companion service over the years. The help and support that has been provided has been exceptional. I discovered Home Help Me Care when they were first setting up and I am so glad I did. My dad who has dementia and now lives in a care home, loved being taken out on a Sunday afternoon. My mum now looks forward to her weekly outings for shopping and coffee. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Home Help Me Care are an excellent care provider and have certainly gone above and beyond for my family.
My mother has been a service user since summer, 2020, when she needed support to continue living at home, after a fall. She was always independent with high standards, so finding a service provider that would 'fit the bill' was going to be a tall order. Thankfully, through word of mouth, I was pointed in the direction of Home Help Me Care. From my initial contact onwards, I have found the team to be friendly, approachable and thorough in their assessment of Mum's needs and, whether or not they could realistically deliver those, without proper consideration. Since then, the service has been consistent, of a very high standard and personable, so Mum feels she has friends going in, who she can trust, and who take the time to sit and chat with her, which is one of her frustrations of being housebound and missing contact with friends and neighbours. They are very respectful of her and operationally, I find the management team to be flexible in accommodating any change in her needs.
The level of care my dad has received from Home Help Me Care has been excellent. He has thoroughly enjoyed his day trips with his companions and it’s been such a relief for me to know he’s getting out and about safely. As my dad's health has reduced, Home Help Me Care have been on hand to help me navigate the changes required to his care routine.
Thank you for your lovely review. It's been a pleasure visiting your dad and supporting him in the later years of life, a true gentleman. Warm regards, Rickie.
Home Help Me Care quickly came to our rescue in a crisis situation and my mum has been so happy with every member of the team who has visited and shown great thoughtfulness, kindness, humour and patience in helping her to retain as much independence as possible, as she adapts to living with dementia. They have enabled her to stay at home where she knows her way around and feels safe- so important for someone with sight problems - and they prompt her to take her medication at the right time and eat healthily. As she has regained her mobility she has enjoyed the carers’ company on short walks, ensuring her safety. We greatly appreciate the advice, support and flexibility of the managers. Mum loves the chat and fun as they join in to encourage her to do her exercises. We appreciate the good communication between the team and the family via the app which allows access to the carers’ notes so any issues can quickly be resolved.
Hello and thank you for your lovely review. Your mum is an absolute delight to visit, so energetic, full of life and fiercely independent - she is a true inspiration of someone who dedicated her younger life to service as a nurse and mother. Kind regards, Rickie.
Home Help Me Care have been providing care for my mum for over a year. The professionalism and kindness shown by the team has been absolutely excellent. Their care and compassion have enabled my mum to remain in her own flat.
Kind Regards.
Home Help Me Care looked after my dad through his final years with Parkinson’s. The service received helped my mother as his carer get some respite.
Three staff members along with all the other carers were very patient with a fairly stubborn guy.
Would definitely recommend Home Help Me Care.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is a delight to visit your mum, we love her drive to stay independent. She is full of lots of lovely heart warming stories of her childhood, working as a nurse and bringing up her family - she certainly makes us smile. We are delighted we were able to put in the...
I would recommend them as a company you could trust to do a good job.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was always a delight to come and visit your wife. We are pleased you have managed to find a longer-term solution to ensure she is well looked after and supported in later years. Kind regards.
Initially they came in 5 days a week for an hour a day to help my mother get up, washed and dressed, they also assisted in contacting the council to help get home adaptations as necessary. They always ensured they were in attendance for the appointments and even if they were going to be a few minutes late they would phone to let us know.
Over the following months as my mother deteriorated, they discussed both her and my needs and increased the visits to three times a day, every day. In addition, they would also arrange to take my mother out and give me some respite.
They were on hand right up to my mother passing away when they were also in attendance.
I cannot praise their service throughout the entire period highly enough.
The care provided to my father is exceptional, regardless of which individual in the team is attending the house. The service is of a consistently very high level and everyone goes out of their way to make my father comfortable and supported. They definitely go the extra mile and add a personal touch to my father's care.
Thanks for your lovely review, Mark. It's been great getting to know your dad. It's great to see how much pleasure he gets from all the lovely home cooked food. Best wishes Rickie
The Home Help Me Care girls couldn't have been any better. I felt totally confident "handing over" Mum into their care. They were all so kind and compassionate, with endless patience. Mum is always better if she's out and about so they always made sure to take her out for a long walk or to a park which she really enjoyed and visibly perked up after doing.
They spent lots of precious hours with her just chatting and having cups of tea and it was really music to my ears to hear the laughter coming from her lounge when one of the carers had made her laugh. That was a very regular occurrence, she genuinely came to think of them, and refer to them, as her friends. She didn't realise they were carers, which spoke volumes for the care they gave. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Hi Alexis, thank you for your lovely words. Our carers thoroughly enjoyed visiting your mum and going out and about with her. It was lovely how she appreciated so many things like the spring bloom, the crisp Scottish seaside air, chatting to people she met. Such a delightful lady and what an...
They went above and beyond by matching carers to my mum, so she really enjoyed each visit. The owners also frequently visit to carry out the care to assess how my mum was getting on whilst ensuring she was happy with their staff.
I found that their communication was excellent, including a family communication group so they could keep me updated on my mum and vice versa.
On the odd occasion that a carer was delayed with a previous client, they contacted us to advise so that my mum wasn't worried. Compared to my previous experience of a care company for my father-in-law, Home Help Me Care are experts in their field and a definite 11 out of 10, amazing. Took the pressure off family members.
Hi Morag, thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We've thoroughly enjoyed looking after your mum. It's so lovely to see how the small things can make such a big difference to someone (and now we all know the secrets of eternally youthful looking skin, thanks to your mum!). All your mum's...
I have been delighted with the care my elderly mum has received since she came out of hospital last year. The carers have been very kind and supportive of mum who has Alzheimer’s. The communication between family and the carers has been great. A family WhatsApp group means we have instant communication and feedback. With no family living locally, it is reassuring to know she is in good hands.
Thank you for your kind words. It's been a pleasure getting to know your mum. It's always so difficult when families are so far away and they can get updates which help reassure them their relative is being well looked after. It's been super to see how well your mum has adapted to her care and support. Best wishes Diane
My sister and I appointed Home Help Me Care to assist with day-to-day care for our elderly relative when she was no longer able to cope on her own at home. She was needing the help but was also slightly unsure as to what a carer would do and whether she was going to be happy with somebody coming into her house every day, as she was very independent and had lived on her own for many years. The carers from Home Help Me Care understood her concerns and slowly got her used to them so she would accept more help as needed. The carers also took the time to get to know our relatives and she got to know them which made everything easier. We knew she was in good hands with Home Help Me Care who always kept us well informed as to what was going on and if they had any concerns with her health or any other matters they alerted us immediately. I would happily recommend Home Help Me Care as we felt our relative was safe in their care, well looked after and treated with respect.
Hello, thank you for the lovely review. It was great getting to know your relative and your family and I'm delighted that our team were able to support her through Covid. Best wishes, Rickie
They could not have been better - they are absolutely wonderful. The care they show her and the trouble they take to do everything to help is very much appreciated.
Thank you for your lovely review. Your mum is an absolute delight to visit, and we look forward to continuing to provide her with support. Diane
As we are separated by over 400 miles, I would have been unable to both look after Mum and to keep her wish to remain in her own home without Home Help Me Care. I rely on and trust them to let me know of any problems that might arise around the house which, however minor, would otherwise be very difficult to rectify at a distance. The team provides good, regular communication which is vital.
Home Help Me Care visits give me peace of mind that Mum is being looked after, is safe and is still living happily in her own home.
Hello, thank you for your review. It's been an absolute pleasure to visit your mum over these years. She always has a welcoming smile and full of happy positive chat even during Covid times. We look forward to continuing to support her to remain living at home. Diane
Home Help Me Care has to be applauded for providing the care and comfort to our mother that every loving and concerned family wishes, but do not have the skill to give. Our mother, who initially was reluctant to agree to professional care, was quickly appreciative of the way her carers became a part of her daily life. A shared interest in our mother's history, books, writing, family photographs and stories, and trips to the hairdresser all helped. Her final hours - in her own home - were made painless and peaceful. Mainly thanks to the training and experience of Home Help Me Care.
Thank you for your lovely comments. Your mum was one of our very first clients over 4 years ago, and we had such a special relationship with her, taking her to the hairdresser every Saturday without fail and getting her messages - not to mention getting to know both her lovely daughters over the...

Diane is Glasgow-born and moved to Edinburgh over 19 years ago. She worked supporting people in the community such as young families and assisting older people with daily life. It was at this time she realised her real passion for working with the elderly and saw that there was a gap in the market for quality care for the elderly. Having undertaken extra studies and hands-on training she went on to co-found Home Help Me Care, which is now graded 6 out of 6 for Care by the regulator ‘The Care Inspectorate’.
Diane is a real people person, a calm and practical thinker who leads by example.
As a Registered Manager, Diane is accountable to the Care Inspectorate for Home Help Me Care standards of care and service.
Christina started with the company in 2017 and has excelled up the ranks since joining. From carer to our main care co-ordinator. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Christina.
From working full time to looking after her two daughters and Belle her lively "third baby" ( the dog!).
She loves a holiday to sunny climes and likes to still have a nosy on the company portal to make sure no one has upset any of her lovely clients or hard-working carers.
Christina is a true asset to the company and keeps us all on our toes.
