Atwell Care is a domiciliary care organisation giving people the chance to live in their own homes with the right support.

Home care services include assistance to get in and out of bed, help to get washed and dressed. Other services include meal preparation, help with household chores, shopping, attendance to appointments etc.

Assistance is given to people including those with dementia, physical or learning disabilities, drug dependence, care for people aged 65+ and those with mental health conditions.

Each client is treated with compassion, dignity and given respect by trained staff who strive to deliver their care needs and wishes.

Atwell Care have been very good on the whole but of course, initially, there were problems understanding what I wanted them to do. Variety may be the spice of life, but it became tedious having to repeat instructions to so many carers then to find one or the other getting it wrong anyway. Still, after
a while, all settled down and I got used to one carer who got it right. As I have been washing or dressing when they left, it might have been under half an hour so maybe they need more to do.

My name is Carly I am the Registered Manager of Atwell Care. I have 15 years of experience in Care at Home working for a large National Care Agency firstly as a Community Support Worker in Frome Somerset, as a Reablment Worker and as Reablement Team Leader and Community Team Supervisor in BaNES.
I started Atwell Care in the spring of 2018 so I could achieve a dream of providing individuals with care and support in their own homes which is truly a reflection of their wishes and choices. I wanted to deliver a service which is compassionate, kind and supportive and offered choice and respected individuals wish no matter what those choices and wishes are. I wanted to build a team of care and support staff who feel valued, who feel supported, who feel respected and are provided with pay well above the living wage that is reflective of the work they do and provide a good work-life balance we all strive for. Myself and the team are passionate about our service and the care we provide and will continue to do our very best for our wonderful clients across Bath, Saltford, Keynsham and Frome.
