YouB4Me Care has been looking after my 92-year-old mother for about 6 months. Mum has always been very independent and was at first reluctant to allow carers into her home. YouB4Me worked tirelessly to understand how to they could gain mum's trust and, by carefully selecting carers with just the right personalities and tailoring their care to mum's needs, did just that. The carers keep in touch with me regularly by text and contact me immediately if there is anything I should know about. For example, one day in November, mum seemed more confused than usual. Her carer texted me at once and also called in the team manager, who suspected that mum had a chest infection. They phoned the GP and within a couple of hours mum already had an antibiotic to handle the infection. Then, over the next few days, the team scheduled extra visits and made sure mum was taking enough fluids - As a result, she recovered very quickly. It is a great comfort to know I can rely on this level of care.
They care for Mum who has significant mobility issues and lives with Dementia and have made it possible for Mum to live independently and safely at home, the team's understanding of dementia has been invaluable in this. They communicate well with both Mum and I and have never adopted an "I know best approach" instead, taking time to understand how to help Mum co-operate. They respond quickly and flexibly to whatever arises.
Mum has had their friendship and caring support for 11 months and the team continues to strive to find ways of improving Mum's quality of life; be that ensuring she has food she enjoys or helping her find things that she can still do and enjoy.
I have personally found their attitude to caring for Mum and their attention to detail invaluable; they will always go the extra mile and I know that if they say they will do something it will happen.

The registered manager Zoe Gorreti Zawayira is a resourceful, innovative, highly motivated nursing professional. Over the past 20 years, she has managed to gain a wide variety of experience that has allowed her to grow and develop knowledge within the Health and Social Care sector. Zoe has become ever more passionate about patients/service users' care. Through her managerial roles, she has managed to develop problem-identifying and solving skills that have proven extremely useful. With her registered nursing background, her excellent Nursing skills, infection prevention and control skills, Zoe puts patients/service users' safety first. Through hard work and effort, Zoe has been able to advance her career and become an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse and Care manager. Working up to a Band 7 level, she had the opportunity to cover as a Band 8 (which is a very senior level within the NHS) she is very passionate about patient/ service users' care and infection prevention and control. Zoe is also a fast learner, who is always willing to learn more advanced skills to ensure patients/service users' safety.
