Genuine care, simply the best! Many thanks. May your God go with you always.
Thank you Elsie, it has been a pleasure to support your wonderful family.
All of the carers are extremely professional, compassionate and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. We are all very impressed. Most of all, they look after my dad like we would, and I know my dad has every faith in them, so much so I think they are his 'comfort blanket' and that is more than enough for me, to know my dad is in safe hands.
It has been our pleasure to support you as a family, thank you for your kind words.
All of the carers are professional, caring and excellent. If I had not got them, I would be lost.
Thank you for your lovely comments, it is a pleasure to support you.
Has regular carers which is brilliant and gives me peace of mind. My husband's care needs are getting greater and will need more help and I know the staff will support me and him. Staff always keep me up to date with any changes, I am very grateful for the support they give to my husband.
Thank you for your lovely review, Kathleen, we take pleasure in supporting your husband
I am so pleased that I found Kare Plus. I have been delighted with the care they are giving to my mother. From the very start when I met them I felt confident that my mum was going to be in good hands. The ladies who visit really seem to take pride in their caring role and are so very kind to my parents who are quite shy people but have really settled well and look forward to the ladies visiting. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kare Plus.
Despite Mum's worries about needing daily help after being so independent, the manager and carers understood this from the start and helped her get used to it. She's also had a lovely day baking with one of her "girls" too so it's not all about them providing the routine help. Mum had a lovely time which ultimately made me very happy. May it continue.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, it is a pleasure to support your mum she brightens up our day.
Kind Regards
Claire
The bright and happy nature of the carers has had a massive impact on my Auntie and she is once again beginning to engage and think positively about the future. Nothing has been too much trouble and I feel that we have now got my Auntie back again.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the manager and her team to anyone.
Kind Regards
Claire
I’m very impressed with the care given by Kare Plus. My dad responds very well to the carers and enjoys his visits. They look after him well and I feel confident leaving him in their care if I’m away from home. Very flexible and accommodating also. Would highly recommend to others.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, we always try to go above and beyond when changes are needed.
Kind Regards
Claire
I am very pleased with the services provided by the carers. They cope with a very difficult variety of problems with equanimity.
Thank you so much, Jim, for your kind words, very much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Claire
I think the team at Kare Plus are very caring, helpful and loving. I just think they are all wonderful and if it wasn't for the girls I wouldn't feel as good as I do now.
Kind Regards.
Kare Plus has supported me in many ways since being discharged from hospital I have a lovely bond with all the workers and no job is ever a big ask for them thank you for all you do.
Kind Regards.
The staff are friendly and easy to get along with. They help me with anything I need and they are always smiling.
Kind Regards
All the care staff who visited were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. They cared for my mother right until the end exactly as I would have wished for. They could not have done any more to help her and they kept her spirits up (and mine) with their cheerfulness. We could not have wished for a better team of carers, they were first class.

Hi, my name is Karen, and I am the Operations Manager of Alcedo Care St Helens. I started with Alcedo Care in 2019, and I have loved every minute of it!
I started as a Home Care Worker in February 2019 and gradually progressed to Area Manager. I am very passionate about providing high-quality care services, and I love my job!
Hi, my name is Jade, and I started with Alcedo Care St Helens in July 2021 as a Home Care Worker. I have 9 years of experience in the care sector and value the hard work and dedication that care staff put in on a daily basis.
Over the last 9 years, I have worked in a variety of different roles, gaining knowledge and experience from each one to improve my skills and support customers in the best way I can.
I became an Area Manager 1 year ago, and I have loved every minute of it. My team have supported me and helped me grow my abilities and confidence personally and professionally. I couldn't see myself working for another care company now that I have been part of the Alcedo Care family.
My name is Mel and I’m the Deputy Manager at Alcedo Care St Helens. My role in a nutshell is to assist the Care Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of our homecare service, to ensure that we are providing excellent quality, person-centred care to our clients.
I quickly earned myself a promotion to Deputy Manager in October that same year, and again had the opportunity of promotion to Registered Manager in July 2022.
My passion is caring, my personality is kindness, and my goal is ensuring safe effective care is delivered to our lovely clients.
Hi, my name is Emily and I am a Care Co-Ordinator for Alcedo Care St Helens. I started Alcedo Care in March 2020 and I love it! My previous job was as a Fleet Transport Administrator. I have always spoken about going into care but I never had until now. I absolutely love my job as it is so rewarding!
I started Alcedo Care as a Home Care Worker and was later promoted to Care Co-Ordinator.
My hobbies are Morris dancing for Platt Bridge and Morris dancers. I have done this for over 30 years. I enjoy socialising, going out for meals and spending time with my family and friends.
My name is Chloe and I’m the Care Assessor at Alcedo Care St Helens. As a Care Assessor, my role is to prepare and adapt person-centred care plans for our clients and their families. These might be produced with the client alone, but sometimes might also involve other healthcare professionals. It is my responsibility to ensure our clients have the maximum amount of input possible into the care plan, and that it takes into account not only their personal and medical information, but their likes, dislikes, and what we can do to enrich their life and support independence.
I have been with Alcedo now for around 3 years, I started off at the Wigan Branch in 2020 working as a care assistant and then moved on to a small team supporting a young lady with complex needs. I then progressed to a Care Assessor in August 2022 for the St Helens Branch.
I was drawn to the role of a Care Assessor after working closely in the community with the clients already and wanted to progress my skills further and use my experience in the field to fulfil this role. I find my role extremely rewarding and I am proud to support the carers to deliver person-centred care every day. Before starting with Alcedo Care in 2020 I had already been working as a Care Assistant for 4 years both in the community, in nursing homes and in specialist care facilities. I had also been studying for my Learning Disability Nursing Degree but this sadly stopped due to Covid-19, but this is something I may revisit in the future.
Outside of work, I like to spend time with my partner and the dog visiting new places, and I like going to see my family I have a close relationship with my mum and my grandparents. I also go to the gym throughout the week and enjoy going to the cinema.
My name is Grace and I’m the recruiter at Alcedo Care St Helens. I work to fill our care jobs in St Helens and the surrounding areas, and I’m the first person you’ll be in touch with when you look to join Alcedo Care as a care assistant or support worker. My role is to work with our operation team to identify where we need more staff, post adverts and review applications. I carry out interviews and guide our potential future carers through the application and compliance process, ensuring we are bringing through the best calibre of care professionals to provide outstanding quality care to our clients.
I first had an interview with Alcedo Care in March 2022 to be considered as a care worker. Soon after this, we realised that I would not be suitable for the role, as I was under 18. I was very lucky to be given another opportunity for a second interview as a Recruitment Resource Apprentice based in the Wigan branch. After being successful with my interview I was given the role, and quickly after I started work with the Wigan Homecare team. I picked up the role very quickly and thoroughly enjoyed my day–to–day role with the company. After just 8 months working with Alcedo I was offered a promotion, to move over to another branch and become a Trainee Recruitment Manager based in St Helens. I did not have to think twice about it, and I was over the moon being offered this amazing opportunity. I have now been in the St Helens branch for 10 months and I absolutely love my role, I have recently celebrated my 1-year anniversary in April 2023. I have just completed my apprenticeship course and I am waiting for my results, and hopefully, I will be graded a distinction.
When I joined Alcedo Care, I was very shy and had zero confidence. I was asked to present PowerPoints in front of large groups of people which helped me to progress within myself. My friends and family have noticed a huge personal development and growth and I can only thank Alcedo for making this happen.
In my spare time, I enjoy going out with my family, as well as seeing my friends. We like to go out for meals, especially Italians! I also enjoy going on holidays and visiting new places around the world.
