The last 12 months provided Mum with the care to remain independent in her own residence, and before that, helped my frail dad with personal hygiene regime for many months before he eventually had to be admitted nursing home. All up, very supportive and attentive.

Personally, Serendip Care has been excellent. I feel qualified to make this statement because I survived the ‘care’ I received from others who identified themselves ‘care’ agencies. The carers that come to me are all, and without exception, genuinely interested in delivering the high quality of care I require. To be quite honest, this quality can not be taught and can only be described as an inherent quality! It is an intrinsic part of their makeup. It’s in their DNA. In my opinion, and it has to be said, this standard has only been achieved and maintained because management is selective. They hand pick their team. Then lead them. It goes without saying, this standard of excellence is only achieved because management is, in it’s itself, excellent. Finally, for me, as a service user, ‘my’ carers demonstrate a genuine interest. It’s not only because it’s their job, but because it’s their calling. A dedication. I dread the day when through necessity, we part company.

We used Serendip to support my elderly cousin for the last ten months of her life. The carers visited three times per day and greatly enriched her life. They were so kind and helpful and undertook their tasks efficiently, which meant they were able to spend any remaining time providing companionship by chatting and taking her for a short walk around her garden, which she loved so much. Having worked with other care agencies in the past, we couldn’t recommend Serendip highly enough. A huge thank you to all the team.

Serendip has been supporting my aunt for several months. During that time, she has come to rely on them for contact, personal care and meals. She is very fond of all of them and trusts them as she knows they will care for her as she needs. As she has declined, the carers have been sympathetic and sensitive. The management of Serendip has been easy to talk to and respond to any update on my aunt's needs. I am very pleased with their service to us as a family.

I am very satisfied with Serendip's services in all respects. I have used them since June 2021, three times a week for a short time (30 minutes), but if my disability increases, it may have to be for longer. I usually have the same carers.

In July 21, I became disillusioned with the then home care providers, and I decided to change. That was a good decision, and for the past 9-months, I have enjoyed the services provided by Serendip. I am particularly impressed with the way they communicate with their client and with a professional attitude from the carers. After each visit, I feel a better person.

As soon as the need for my care was identified by professionals, Serendip made contact with me and visited for an assessment the same day, promptly arranging regular care visits. All visits have been prompt and at a time that suites us. The visiting staff were friendly, knowledgeable and capable. Serendip has been particularly perfect in every way!
What more can I say but give this care company ten out of ten... from calling to arrange care for my dad to having a meeting with the manager the following day, to start his care the next week, the carers in my dad's words are 'angels' and I must say I have seen a change in him, 100 per cent. A very reliable and friendly service. My mother is very happy with the care that she receives - she has the same carer every visit which is reassuring for her.
My 84-year-old father has been receiving care from Serendip for the past 9 months and we have been extremely happy with the quality of care and dignity with which they treat my dad, who has been suffering from memory difficulties. The care team is very responsive and communicate clearly with family members. I also have been impressed by the flexibility and way they always strive to improve the experience of the person they are caring for and accommodate requests.
Our Mother is a spirited 'nearly' 90-year-old, determined to live in her much loved home and familiar surroundings. This is achieved with the outstanding quality of care provided by kind and professional Carers. The office support at Serendip Home Care is also exceptional - adjusting to the needs of our Mother on a weekly basis with prompt and clear levels of communication. Thank you.

We are pleased to introduce Kate, our esteemed Registered Manager, who joined Serendip Home Care in 2020. Kate comes with a wealth of experience, having managed our sister company, Hillyfield Rest Home, showcasing her dedication to her role. Kate brings with her an impressive 16 years of experience in the healthcare sector, where she has excelled in various roles such as Carer, Team Leader, Supervisor, and Deputy, and demonstrated proficiency in HR Management, Accounting, People Management, Safeguarding, and Quality Assurance. Kate has consistently showcased her leadership capabilities, steering the team towards maintaining high-quality standards.
She has become a well-known and respected figure in our local community for her dedication to providing excellent care. Her educational background includes the completion of Level 3 ILM in Management and Level 5 in Health and Social Care, further solidifying her expertise in these areas. Kate is known for her approachable nature, ambition, and hands-on approach to supporting the team in every aspect of their work. We are fortunate to have Kate as an integral part of our team, and we look forward to continuing to benefit from her wealth of experience and leadership.
Lynn joined Serendip in July 2019 as a Carer and has found this job to be very rewarding. After spending 12 months getting to know our clients, she felt it was the right time to take on more responsibility and accepted the position of Care Coordinator. Lynn has been promoted to Deputy Manager in April 2023.
She has completed her Qualification Level 3 in Health and Social Care. In her spare time, Lynn likes going out with family and completing different activities and attending music concerts. She is an asset to the team.
Jess joined Serindip in October 2024, bringing over seven years of experience in the care sector. She has achieved her Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and has a wealth of hands-on experience. Driven by her passion for growth and professional development, Jess transitioned to the office side of care, stepping into the role of Care Field Supervisor at Serindip.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys quality time with her husband, their two children, and the family dog, often exploring the outdoors on long walks.
