All carers have been diligent respectful and pleasant caring people whom our friend has responded to very positively. Their input has enabled him to live at home with the extra company, regular meals, supervision with medication, help with personal hygiene and support with continence issues when needed.
This has all helped improve his over all mental well being and allowed to be where he wants to be.
Reply from Amelia Benskin, Registered Manager at Quality Life UKThank you so much for such a lovely review.

The whole Team have provided very good practical empathetic care and support to my Father over the last 13 months, enabling him and my Mum to live well in their own home. The care arrangements have flexed during this time and the Care Manager and team have been very responsive when these have been requested
or required.
Reply from Amelia Benskin, Registered Manager at Quality Life UKThank you so much for your lovey review. It's a pleasure to suport your mother and father, we have really build up such a lovely relationship with you all, it's wonderful to hear you have been happy.
Flexibility is key and it's something we pride ourselves on as one care package does not fit all! With us having the ability to do a few hours a day all the way up to Live in Care and Support we have a great team and the ability to be as flexible as our clients need at that given time. This really has been a journey for your parents and we are so proud to be part of it and keeping them together and in their beautiful home.

I found Quality life carers ,who were looking after a friend, very good & friendly as I visited her once a week. When my husband became ill with untreatable cancer ,I was getting so tired my family wanted me to get some help so I employed 2 different ones who alternated for just 2hrs 4 times a week.
My husband liked them better than NHS nurses who had limited jobs they could do in their remit. I found them both lovely & they would do anything I wanted & when he died they became lovely company & help for me until I felt I could manage alone. I found Quality Life an ideal answer to my problems & would not hesitate to employ them again. Both the ones we had just suited us. We only had one once who may have just been learning & not quite as comfortable for us. Personalities are all different & it is important , in this work to "just click?"
Reply from Amelia Benskin, Registered Manager at Quality Life UKWe were so delighted you came to us in your hour of need. It was an honour to support you and your husband through such a difficult and sad time. We will never forget him and we are always here when you need anything. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It means so much to us all. You are so right, a lot of our time is spent on putting the right carers with the right families. It is so personality driven and it is so important we place the 'right' care support worker with the right family at the right time. I am so pleased you were able to build such a lovely relationship up with your ladies so quickly. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to support you both.

I have used Quality Life for over 4 years now to provide live in respite care for both my parents and my late husband.
I find it's very easy to access their services; requests are responded to promptly. Full assessments are carried out prior to the stay to ensure that needs are met appropriately.
I am always given the opportunity to meet with the allocated Carer in advance of the stay.
Carers are, without exception, warm and friendly, knowledgable and professional. I have found them to be very reassuring and are happy for me to contact them whilst I am away for updates.
I always feel that not only are my relatives treated with care and respect but also my home.
I have no hesitation in recommending the company.

The process of engaging Quality Life to assist with my Dad's care was smooth and thorough. The weekly arrangements work well and correspondance with the office is promptly handled and effective. The friendly team have provided care with dignity and respect. Dad is engaged in conversation and discussions
about his needs at each visit.
He particularly enjoys the trips out to the nearby town. It is reassuring that there is somebody local to him I can trust to provide any care that he needs both now and in the future.

We changed care companies last year because we wanted a local provider and, most importantly, consistency with the same carers each week. My father is very disabled and requires 24-hour live-in care, with my mother on hand to assist when needed.

The start of the new care arrangement was rocky. Some

f the challenges were outside the company's control, but during the first few months we experienced a high turnover of different carers. Most of them required training by various bodies, which unfortunately placed a great deal of stress on my elderly mother, who often felt she was doing the job we were paying others to do.

Thankfully, things have now settled. We have two wonderful, consistent carers who look after my father with care and compassion and who also provide much-needed support to my mother. This stability has made a significant positive difference to our family, and we are very grateful for the care now being provided

Reply from Amelia Benskin, Registered Manager at Quality Life UKThank you so much for taking the time to do this review. I am so delighted you gave us the opportunity to support your father and mother. We so enjoy being part of their support network. They are a wonderful couple!
I am so sorry for the challenges we faced at the beginning. We do often face some 'teething problems' at the start of a new package of care and support and it is even harder when we must rely on community professionals to help train our carers on slightly more complex health issues. I know we were also met with some staff sickness that just couldn't be helped but we are so grateful you could see the good we were doing and allowed us the time to get it right!
We really look forward to continuing to support you all as a family!

Do not trust this agency, they make promises they can't deliver. We requested a driver and they sent a non driver. There are communication errors and Amelia is incredibly passive aggressive. The carers are ok, but are very job worthy, apparently it was above their job to take my dad to the pub and
collect his two friends on route.
Reply from Amelia Benskin, Registered Manager at Quality Life UKThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are an award winning care agency and are the national winners of the Best Live-In Care Agency 2025 (Home Care Awards). In our 10 year history we have consistently been rated as Good by the CQC with Outstanding in the category of Responsiveness. Your comments are therefore unexpected and inconsistent with the usual positive feedback we receive and so we take your comments seriously. We do understand your frustrations with not having a driver throughout the whole respite period. We did say at the beginning we can never promise a driver. Upon reviewing our records, I see that our carer who provided the majority of the care, was in fact a driver. She did take your father and his two friends (who we had never met) to the pub as requested but we felt this had exposed our carer to an unnecessary risk, supporting three males on her own at night. We do always strive to go 'the extra mile' for all our families and will continue to do so.

My dad has recently needed care and this experience was new to all of the family, however, he received 2 weeks live in care to give my mum a break and the care that he received was fantastic. He was very happy and we spoke to him whilst we were away and he was very relaxed. The carer catered for his
every need. We will definitely be using them again.

My parents carer has become like a member of the family. They look forward to her visits everyday. She is so attentive to their needs and what makes them happy, this is so reassuring to me as their daughter. My parents receive so much more than "care". The friendship and companionship that their carer
brings to their life is amazing. We are so grateful to Quality Life.

Having known about Quality Life UK for some time, when my Mum's health deteriorated and she needed full time live in care as Dad couldn't manage on his own, Quality Life was the company I called.
They are an experienced, friendly and caring "people person" who put the client first.
When Mum eventually
came home last March, The Quality Life team had prepared and worked with my family ahead of Mum's arrival.
Great care was taken in choosing carers who fitted Mum's needs and personality. Quality Life is flexible and if things don't go according to plan the close knit team will work together to find a solution.
This benefits both the clients and family members in providing the best possible experience of live in care.
I'd highly recommend Quality Life UK for Live In care.

Two members of staff in particular have been so kind to our family. We were at the "end of our tether", not knowing how to care best for Mum and they have gone above and beyond what anyone would expect. When I have messaged, not knowing what to do, they have responded quickly to me. We would recommend
them to anyone.
Our carer is also kind, patient and hardworking at Mum and Dad's home. My mum really likes her being in the house now.
They even helped us with Social Services and the Dr, to get what Mum and Dad need.
We can't thank them enough for their support and help at a very difficult time.
A 5-star agency!

My wife is very poorly, virtually housebound and limited mobility. I am her sole carer and looked around for some additional help. Quality Life was recommended by two family friends who had used their services for ageing relatives. They visited and assessed us, and took us on. They helped us navigate
through the labyrinth of Social Services rules and regs as to what assistance they might provide. Communication between us and Quality Life has been first-class. One of their staff now visits 4 mornings/week and it's made a huge positive difference to us both. She is very reliable and pleasant, and we have made friends with her and the other members of staff we have met. I have confidence that when I leave my wife with the carer, she will be well looked after and be safe. We would recommend Quality Life's services wholeheartedly!

Quality Life made caring for my aunt their priority and enabled her to stay in her home. Despite living with Alzheimer's and having very limited vision, I believe she enjoyed her familiar surroundings. Live in care was certainly right for her and so much more personal than moving her to a care home.

Following a recent decline in my mum’s physical well-being, we took the decision, as a family, to enlist a care provider to support her in her daily life. In what was a tough time for us all emotionally, we found Quality Life UK to be a tower of strength, both in terms of their professionalism and understanding
of Mum's needs. The standard of care provided is beyond what I could ever have expected, and Mum has very quickly built a heartwarming rapport and trust with the staff assigned to her. Quality Life UK have provided care for my two elderly friends. The management team take the time to discuss the family's requirements on a regular basis and cater the care specifically for their needs. They are approachable should any issues occur or care needs have to be amended.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.729 for Quality Life UK is calculated as follows: ( (89 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 107 Ratings = 4.729
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Quality Life UK is based on 17 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4.925
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
