The UK is going through a care crisis, funds are diminishing and NHS beds are scarce and Senior Moments Care have come up with a solution to help alleviate this problem within the Fylde Area.

The aim is to offer flexible care and daily respite seven days a week to those who need that extra help to remain at their own home.

It can offer help for those who have a family member living with dementia, or those needing an extra hand to maintain their independence and stay in their own homes.

As it stands, many families reach a point where they cannot cope any longer and consider placing their loved ones in a care home. This has the effect of tearing families apart and placing considerable strain on their emotions and finances.

With a viable and cost-effective solution, families have more time together to live as a family unit and reduce the time they spend apart.

The solution starts with a flexible care package based on the client's needs.

Families can choose the amount of care required on a daily/hourly basis. Care visits can be extended or reduced. They also offer Daytime Support in their Accredited Day Centre, open 7 days a week. The unique cafe is open at weekends for advise support and fun with pop up shops, light snacks and carer led entertainment.

Superb care and well-being for my aunt.
She enjoys the company of the staff as well as the care and attention she gets. Nothing is a problem for them. Great to have them in her life.

This company is excellent with regard to carers and I feel that the rotas could be more rigid. I have been with seven care co/homes and this one is by far the best.

Fantastic since Senior Moments have been attending to my mother. You can see the difference in her as she's a lot brighter, more talkative and trying to do things for herself more. She looks forward to the carers going and loves the dog. Keep up the good work you've made a real difference to her.

Management and staff are helpful, kind and considerate. They recommend social events and will always assist with extra support/care if a family are unable to visit/do chores for my mum.
I would recommend this company/facility to anybody.

I cared for my husband for 4 years but when this became too much for me I turned to Senior Moments who were a lifesaver for me and my husband, nothing was too much. Their patience to both client and carer was second to none. They are there to talk and help in every way possible. I cannot thank the management
and staff enough for taking the stress I was in for releasing that tension. You are indeed a godsend. Thank you Moments.

The owner and her colleagues at Senior Moments Care were simply amazing. First and foremost, they were carers in the true sense of the meaning. They quickly acquired my mum's confidence and trust (not easy).
The owner was free with her time and her experience and advice as mum's needs changed, were
invaluable and of great comfort to the family.
I genuinely struggle to comprehend how, as a relatively small team, they could offer such a wonderful responsive, professional service!
I embarked upon the prospect of 'paid carers' being involved in my mum's care, with some trepidation, how wrong you can be!
The owner and the team were everything that mum/we could have hoped for! Keep up the good work!

This idea was instigated by a person desiring to bring help, support and comfort to the people in need. After 12 months, the business has developed into a caring, full time, busy caring both home care and in the hub itself. Disabled people enjoy the informal situation, with various activities provided
for them, handicrafts, games, computer, films etc. The food is home-cooked, tasty and cheap to buy. Excellent company.

As an old age person of 93, I live on my own and feel rather lonely, therefore, since Senior Moments opened, I decided to visit the premises. I was so impressed with the care and friendliness offered that I decided to try it the next day and I now visit every day and I am more than pleased and feel
secure during my daily stay.

I have been using Senior Moments for the last 9 months I am very happy with the care I have received. The team are excellent and always go the extra mile. To ensure my wife is very well cared for they also help me with some of my household chores. They come 6 days a week to chat with my wife to allow
me time to do any shopping. I can't thank the care team enough as they provide a wonderful service.

The team are just amazing nothing is too much trouble. Staff member has a great personality and just get it with the elderly. She had the ability to communicate with all levels of needs. Nothing is ever too much trouble.


The lady who manages the team is always very accommodating and always offering

to do more, make changes to assist and not for financial gain.


The carers are all amazing they do have a great bond, lots of patience and very attentive to all clients needs. They listen, make changes to suit the family where required.


For a new team, the bond is great to see, there is always something going on and this Senior Moments Hub and homecare is ever evolving.


So glad we choose you to look after mum, she is like a new person since joining your hub. She has great company every day and the home care team are like a lifeline getting mum up washed, dressed and fed before taking to the hub for the day.


Just the best set up all around to suit our time of need.

Hi, I’m Alexandra, but call me Alex. I’m a retired nurse with experience in hospital care, nursing homes and education. I have also spent some time as a discharge co-ordinator, an NVQ Co-Ordinator, a Learning and Development Manager and an NHS 111 call adviser.


I assist the senior team at Senior Moments Care with teaching training and clinical issues as requested. I support individuals progressing through qualifications, train groups of new starters in mandatory subjects such as Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and run support sessions for team members.


I am excited to help colleagues progress within their roles and give the absolute best standard of care to our family members.


I am also kept busy with my border collie Milo who is hilarious and stares at me until I take him to the beach and my fairly new Grandson who I watch Paddington Bear with and have lots of cuddles.
