CuraCare is a local, family run, award winning provider of trusted home care and support services in East Sheen. Tailored support ranging from hourly visits to 24-hour-live care is personalised to each client and delivered by the passionate care team.

CuraCare was founded by a local family who aimed to provide the standard of care that they would want to receive themselves, should they ever need it. They don’t believe in off-the-shelf packages or automated telephone lines, instead providing a local, friendly one-to-one service. You won’t be just a client to the team at CuraCare, you’ll be a friend. Their mission is to enrich the life of each client they work for, not just to maintain it, and so they take the time to tailor each care package to the exacting needs, goals and preferences of each individual.

People are at the heart of everything they do at CuraCare and that applies not only to their clients but to their carers too, who are the heart and soul of the service. The business is growing and always on the look-out for exceptionally compassionate individuals who want to play a rewarding role in making a difference in their community.

The review of the staff and carers at Cura Care can be nothing but complementary. Carers come at 7.30am with a smile and enthusiasm. I am given breakfast while my bed is being made. After that I can hear the bathroom and kitchen being cleaned and the vacuum cleaner on the carpet. If the weather is good,
I have help with laundry as my legs are weak. There is always time for a chat and a laugh and for two days out of three they are only here for an hour. I couldn't have a better start for the day.

I have been using CuraCare for domiciliary and live-in services since early 2022 and always found them to be highly responsive, courteous, caring, and efficient. Carers are well chosen to meet my requirements and administrative issues are sorted out without fuss. Reviews are carried out regularly and
feedback is always welcomed and, where appropriate, suggestions taken on board. It is good to work with a care agency that understands what caring for people is about.

Cura Care was recommended to us by RGN, we picked up the phone and have not looked back since. Our Aunt was discharged from hospital following a period of ill health. We were concerned as we all live some distance away and also in Wales. Cura Care arranged a live-in carer for 2 weeks and now provides
ongoing daily care. I wish we were able to name our client services liaison who has helped us every step of the way as she has been truly outstanding. Contacting the hospital, doctors surgery and organised so many very important issues. We know our Auntie is in safe hands. Thanks to you all.

We have employed Cura Care to give assistance to my wife who has Alzheimer's disease. The care is provided 3x a day carrying out essential hygienic tasks, administering medication etc. All the carers are very engaging and soon establish relationships with my wife which is as important as everyday procedures.
The office staff respond quickly to deal with any problems which make life less stressful at such a difficult time.

I was an athlete and a teacher and a mother of 4 children. My experience of getting old is bad enough. Getting help is nil up til now, I have no teeth, have little hearing, my sight is poor and have mobility only with help. So considering my problems the staff manage with excellence. The experience
is high with no future!

My sisters and I have been hugely impressed with the professionalism and level of personalised care provided by Cura Care, East Sheen over the past year for our mother. All the carers have been wonderful, well-trained and professional and very respectful of our mother’s needs and preferences. The office
staff have been fantastic - incredibly responsive via both email and telephone and trying their very best to accommodate changes in rotas even at short notice. Our mother has recently had her first annual review which was done with thoughtfulness and attention and a real desire to meet her needs. We would highly recommend Cura Care to others and feel very lucky to have found them.

The manager has been working with us to provide ongoing daily care visits for my elderly mother for two years. Her communication and her caring attitude and persona have been exemplary. The office organisation is well managed and there is always somebody on the end of the line at Cura Care in an emergency

My cousin is on the autism spectrum and I have been particularly impressed by how Cura Care have gone out of their way to provide support that suits his particular mental health needs. As he suffers from daily anxieties they have tailored their care in an effort to alleviate these as much as possible.
They are also excellent at contacting us, should there be a concern regarding his physical or emotional well-being. I always feel that they understand and know him well as an individual and respond to situations with intelligence and sensitivity.
When he arrived to stay with us recently we were delighted to find that one of the care team had packed a delicious lunch for his train journey. These details are typical of the Cura Care team and we are constantly reassured by the care he receives.

My cousin is in her nineties and lives alone. She has increasingly needed support to continue living in her much-loved house. That support has been provided by Cura Care East Sheen. I cannot speak too highly of the care Cura Care East Sheen provided, beginning with weekend support, increasing to daily
visits and with overnight stays after my cousin had been in hospital. There really is a culture of 'care' amongst the carers, so that I always felt my cousin was in safe hands and would receive professional support with that extra human touch. My cousin is a Russian-speaker and Cura Care East Sheen made sure her main carers spoke Russian, something I greatly appreciated because it helped to keep her mind alert. Cura Care East Sheen was remarkably flexible and supportive about fluctuating care needs if my cousin was unwell or was hospitalised. I recommend them unreservedly.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.786 for Cura Care East Sheen is calculated as follows: ( (34 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 42 Ratings = 4.786

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Cura Care East Sheen is based on 7 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.7
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My core principles for ensuring high-quality customer service and first-rate care come from previous work in both the health and hospitality sectors, as well as personal experience.

Sadly, I had witnessed some poor levels of service being delivered to the older people in a care setting. I saw firsthand how moving an individual into unfamiliar surroundings, such as a nursing home, could lead to deterioration.

I have also been where many reading this are. I have personal experience of trying to find the best care at home for my grandmother. These combined experiences prompted me to establish CuraCare. Together, Ciara and I strive to deliver a service we’d wish to receive ourselves.

Socially, I’m a keen Scuba Diver, which ties in nicely with my fondness for travel. Closer to home, I enjoy catching up with friends, and I like cycling.

I am lucky enough to have firsthand experience of caring for my Grandad in his own home for nine years. Looking back, there was negligible information or support available to my family at the time. Therefore, I truly understand what our client and family can be experiencing, and I passionately believe in the value of the service our expert team delivers every day.

My early career in TV sports production & sports sponsorship served me well in honing skills which I now bring to bear in jointly running our award-winning, family-run service.

Adrian founded CuraCare in 2011, and we are still an independent business to this day. Together, we have done every role in the business. We truly appreciate our like-minded, caring and professional team.

Outside work, I love to travel, enjoy horse riding and singing, as well as attending sports events.
